I contacted *** ******* to do work on a 1957 Chevrolet. I wanted to know how long it would take to do the job. The hours quoted was 10 hours. I dropped off the car off on 06/29/2023.What was required was to install a digital speedometer cluster. The first two days nothing was done. He left for a week over the Holidays. When he returned I had some other small things that I ask him to do, still there was no work done on the car. He also did things without my permission. After chasing down parts he said he needed he informed me he ordered the wrong parts but installed them anyway. When I finally was informed the car was ready to pick up it needed more work so I went out the following day to get it done. When I picked the car I realized the odometer was not programed and he said bring it out and he would program it. When I arrived he refused to do it and because of this The cluster has to be taken out and sent to the factory to be reprogramed. When he presented me my bill it was highly inflated and he took a hour on his computer and kept looking off into space while adding up his bill. When he handed it to me he said" this is a stiff bill but I am really expensive" So I have a car with two new door handles and a mirror installed and one clock installed that doesn't work " he said I didn't know you wanted it to work. His other work now has to be done again An he gives me a bill of 5601.17 This car is restored with a brand new motor and transmission with 0 miles on the drive train and 10000 miles on the body. I can't let this happen. I also have estimates from the best companies what it would require to do this work which is so much lower than his it ridiculous when he told me his inflated price of 125.00 an hour the highest price from the best ones were 95.00 an hour . the highest price was from ******* **** in *******, **** was 2185.00 for everything that Watters did. Estimate to install two doorhandles a clock and mirror Collision Craft in *******.**** was 253.06
