Their policies are a scam. They force you to do procedures that aren't needed out of pocket. I had my insurance company call them with me to explain that I had authorization for a routine cleaning but they refused to provide me service without undergoing a more expensive procedure first. They are doing this just to bill me extra. It's unethical.

Unfortunately, due to HIPAA, we are unable to disclose thr patients clinical diagnosis. All treatments planned are made by the doctor and are confirmed to be necessary before the patient begins services in the office. Radiographs are also consulted to deem the best treatment for a patient. Not everyone can simply have a routine cleaning as that goes against the standard of care, and can fall under clinical neglect if the work is left incomplete. This goes for any dental office in the country. This patient refused to accept his diagnosis and was for verbally abusive to staff on each visit. He has been discontinued by the practice due to continuously berating all members of the team. Records were released to patient.

None of this is accurate. I had the x-rays and exams performed by the dentist earlier this year. I have been a patient there for 2 years, previously I paid out of pocket. Once I got dental insurance their policies changed. They refused to provide the ongoing routine maintenance that I was receiving as a cash payer and instead mandated that I get another deep cleaning, which my insurance doesn't entirely cover, obviously for the purpose of profit, before they would resume my care. They explained it was a requirement from my insurance company. I called them with my insurance rep who explained that was not necessary and they still wouldn't allow me to continue my ongoing care without paying for this much more expensive procedure. This is explicitly criminal and unethical for any medical professional to do. To force unneeded care for the purpose of profit. Shame on you. Secondarily, I have not received my records from them as of yet, which means I can't establish new care until they do. I will acknowledge that I was upset on the phone after both myself and my insurance company requested over and over that they continue my care plan to no avail. Hours wasted. Wouldn't you be upset?
