We started working with Fortitude contracting on August 3, 2022. Our roof was installed on September 2, 2022. On February 23rd we noticed a leak in one of our bedrooms and notified Fortitude of the situation. They came on March 2nd after cancelling on ** multiple times and stated that the portion of the roof was not installed correctly and fixed it. I had concerns and reached out to them stating that due to having a four year old child in the house, I am concerned about mold developing above the ceiling. They did not have a way to check that space and told me that this would not be necessary. This is a health concern. On March 16th they put one coat of paint over the damaged wall and the water stain is still visible. I reached out to them on March 16th about this concern and have not heard back. On January 5th our kitchen cabinets were installed. Multiple cabinets were damaged during installation. One cabinet draw is still damaged and we were told a month ago it would be ordered. On March 16th we were told that Fortitude forgot to order it and he would order it. We would like confirmation that this draw was ordered. On February 6th I asked for a copy of our invoice for our cabinets and have some form of confirmation that the warranty was registered. I was told in multiple emails that they didn't have this information for me. The cost to the cabinets that was payed was *********. On March 9th I was emailed the packing slip but still received no information on the warranty of the cabinets. The Town of Babylon is also missing our electrical fire inspection and final plumbing inspection to issue our permits. On Feb 7th I was told they were waiting to receive it. On March 9th I was told they have it but won't give it to me until the job is done but I had already payed in full for the electrical work. On March 13th I was told it would be dropped off at the town and the town has still not received it as of March 17th at 12PM.

We did not cancel multiple times regarding your roof.  The one time we did cancel, it was snowing and we were not going to send someone on a roof in that weather.  It was dry otherwise and completely sealed.  There was absolutely no sign of mold anywhere.  We do this every day.   Every and all aspects of the project that were small issues were rectified.  Cabinets sometimes come in damaged due to shipping which is out of our control.  You did receive the invoice from Simply Kitchens AND the warranty information.  They have sent their crew there any and every time you had an issue.  The Town of Babylon had the problem with your plumbing permit, not us.  They misplaced your plumbing permit and could not schedule your final inspection until that was also rectified.  The electrical certificate came with the incorrect permit number on it so the town would not accept it, again not our fault.  That is a 3rd party inspector.  You added work to the project and did not want to pay for it after it was completed.  We have amazing reviews from our customers who come back to ** for all their projects and refer ** to their friends and family.  You were awful to ** the entire time we were on the project.  In fact, our workers told ** they did not want to go back there because of the way you treated them.  You screamed at our daughter for absolutely no reason.  We did feel we should have given you your deposit back and not taken the job, and that will not happen again.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The wall that leaked was still not rectified as seen in the attached pictures.  In addition, the leak was never inspected by a license mold inspector so there is no way for Fortitude to be sure this is not an issue.  I do understand that the cabinet came in damaged but Fortitude installed a damaged cabinet even after bringing it to the attention of the installer.  They were concerned it would take to long to replace.  Time overshadowed quality.  A person came to touch it up and I have attached that two months later the crab is still there.  Fortitude offered to paint it again but a damaged cabinet should have never been installed in the first place.  The driveway was damaged back in August at the start of the project and as attached both the email and pictures, Fortitude assured it would be fixed and rectified and it was not.  Fortitude may call it difficult but as a paying client I expect for work to be done as expected and payed for.  The town did receive the permit this week.  The Town of Babylon stated multiple times that they never received the proper documentation.  This was not the first time Fortitude stated they gave something to the Town and the Town had no record.  I never did not pay for work not done.  Actually, I was told multiple times if I did not pay for work upfront before completion, they would not come to work on that given day.
