      Parking Systems *** is a REPEAT offender. They have had prior victims file complaints with the BBB before and continue to benefit from a failure to accept responsibility for their repeated negligence.1. On August 30, 2025 I turned my vehicle over to their parking attendant. They proceeded to leave another vehicle they were moving in gear and smashed my vehicle doing nearly $5,900 in damages.2. Their onsite personnel assured me that Parking Systems was 100% at fault and that they would cut me a direct check for the reasonable repairs cost. I now presume this tactic was to avoid my calling the police. This turned out to be a lie.3. Parking Sytems doesn't handle their claims. They use "Claims Services" to delay, block and impede writing the promised check. Claims services says they have zero authority to pay out more than Parking Systems feels like paying.4. I produced 2 third party estimates - the lowest was for $5,858 - which they refused to pay.5. They continue to bully me into 2 unacceptable options as they did to prior complaintants. A) accept a low ball offer from a consultant that needs to low ball to keep their business. He says $3,358 in damage or B) Use their hand picked Phils Body Shop more than a hour from where I live. Both have been rejected more than once. They wrecked my car and don't get to set their take it or leave terms.6. They also self insure up to $25,000 (is it legal to do that in *************?) so their other tactic is to force me to go through MY insurance, although again they wrecked the car not me.Their practices are consumer unfriendly, unethical, intentional and unacceptable. I hope the BBB can help, in the absence of that, I intend to escalate this to the proper governmental authorities as presumably they are licensed in this type of business.This business as a standard operating procedure. Damages property. Demand you accept their terms or drive a damaged car. NO WAY.I look forward to any support you can provide. Thank you.

      To Whom It May Concern,

      We are in receipt of the captioned complaint from *** ******* *****.  We are familiar with this claim as we have tried in numerous ways to settle this claim.

      Please be advised that the insurance company for Parking Systems sent out a *** ***** of ***** Appraisers, Licensed NYS Appraiser, for an estimate on the damages to *** ******* vehicle The estimate came in at $3,358.00 (a copy of which is attached for your review).  The offers make to *** ***** have been as follows:

      1.  ******************* estimate of $3,358.00 in full settlement of the claim;

      2.   Additionally, we offered an option to repair the vehicle at ****** Body Works.  The work is done at *** ******* convenience and to his complete satisfaction.  We have also included the option of a rental vehicle while *** ******* vehicle is being repaired at ****** Body Works;

      3. Lastly, *** ***** could report the claim to his insurance carrier.  The first party insurer of his care would settle the matter then subrogate his rights against the valet company.

      As you can see, we have made several attempts to settle this matter, albeit unsuccessfully at this time.

      Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      1. *** ***** may be NY State Licensed, but he is NOT independent. He is paid by Parking Systems **** to provide the lowest cost possible for Parking Systems. *** ***** is playing the game that ******** will not revoke his license because his quote is about $2,600 too low. Having said that, if Parking Systems will accept and pay OUR requested amount based on any NY Licensed appraiser I hire (along with appraisal fees)- that may resolve my complaint. Ending the suspense, they won't agree to that because fair resolution is not their objective.

      2. NY State Law Entitles me to select the shop of my choice. As other BBB complaints have noted, I like the others have no interest in Parking Systems repair shop - which has the same goal as *********** cheapest repair possible to retain Parking Systems ongoing business. They are disqualified as independent serving in my interests after Parking Systems wrecked my car.

      3. Why must I go through MY INSURANCE? Parking Systems wrecked my car! I am directing BBB to get evidence of Parking Systems insurance (this should be going through their insurance not mine as Parking systems admitted they crashed 2 cars in their care) and that their $25,000 deductible is legal in ************* since BBB shows numerous refusals to pay claims for their damages. They have never produced evidence of insurance, which I believe they are required to do.

      4. To the BBB, how many times will you allow Parking Systems to get the same complaint where they are at fault and fail the consumer before you give them a failing grade? Their Standard Operating Procedure to tell victims on crash day they will pay before they provide the same garbage options that benefit them and harm the victim is not acceptable.

      ******* *****

      Please be advised that we are working with *** ****** ****** from ************** Body to arrive at an agreed price to repair *** ******* vehicle.  *** ***** submitted an estimate from ************** Body.  I spoke with *** ****** earlier today and I am waiting for her to call me back to discuss further.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      I have spoken at length with *** ******* ***************************************** has reverted to hiding behind a ****** woman who is an outside intermediary.  I have personally dealt with her and what is abundantly clear is that she has zero personal authority to cut a fair deal and obstructs in getting a Parking Systems decision maker on the line. She did that with me and she has now done that with *** ******* repeatedly wasting her time.
      Of greater importance, is that Parking Systems as per my understanding illegally failed to share with me proof of required liability insurance per New York State Law after wrecking my car, which they do not deny they did.  I again demand they provide me and the BBB this evidence. I note, they quickly provided evidence of their low-ball repair estimate from *** ****** however, I still have no information on 1. Who is their insurance carrier 2. Who is the contact at their insurance carrier 3. Policy number etc.
      I was encouraged by their last posting, but my car is in a state of disrepair months later and with ****** unable to answer straight-forward simple questions about process, along with no agreement on the horizon,  this cannot be allowed to stand.
      Nothing is straight-forward in dealing with Parking Systems Inc.If they had any interest in helping me get my car fixed timely, a Parking Systems decision maker, not ******* would contact *** ****** as she has repeatedly requested.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

      I am writing to formally address a significant inconvenience I experienced with parking garage during my stay at the *********** in ************* on May 2, 2025. I parked my car overnight on Friday , May 1, expecting to retrieve it the following day. However, when I attempted to access my vehicle on Saturday , I was informed that the garage elevator was broken, preventing retrieval of my car.The staff member on duty acknowledged that this was not the first occurrence of this issue and advised me to wait a few hours for a repair crew. After waiting three hours, the crew arrived and informed me that the elevator could not be fixed until Monday due to a pipe issue. As I reside in ******* and had an early flight scheduled for Sunday morning, waiting was not feasible. Following the staffs recommendation, I took an **** back to **, incurring additional expenses, and flew back to *******, leaving my car in garage. I had to buy last minute air ticket to come back to *** to retrive my car on Thurday May 8th , This situation has caused significant inconvenience and financial burden, as I needed to take **** both ways plus and flight ticket. I was adviced to send an email for renibersment of my expenses but no one has reponded to me .Can you help me to sort it out ?Thank you ****** *********

      On Monday August 5th, around 3:30 I was a patient at ******************************************************************. I went to retrieve my car from the valet and noticed he was taking a very long time to get my car. The supervisor, ******, decided to see what was taking him so long. I was then that ****** (who was the driver) brought my car to me. Upon arrival, I noticed that the front of my car was badly damaged. He (******) called *************************** to report the accident. **** called (and texted) me to apologize and proceeded to tell me what to do.He told me to take my car to Phils Body shop to have car repaired and they will also give me a loaner car to use in the interim. I did not feel comfortable that my car there (which is my right under NYS law) so I took it to Meadowbrook Collision to have it repaired. **** gave me the information for claims service and told me to contact them. I called and spoke to ****** who emailed me the form to complete, which I did and emailed them back to her.They wanted me to take the car to their body shop, I did not feel comfortable doing so (as per NYS law , they cant make me use their shop), so I took it to a body shop that I am comfortable with. As a result, they got offended and is now dragging their feet for the repair. I called, texted and emailed, no responses-they are either in a meeting or not available. I have been without a car for 14 days and they have not provided a rental while I wait for my car to be repaired. This is very disgusting and unacceptable.

      On the night of 4/13/24 my wife and I visited the ** at ******************* and had our (less then 6 month old) 2023 ******* Santa Fe valet parked since at the time my wife was 7 months pregnant and unable to walk from the parking garage. After our visit we were returned our vehicle by the valet with damage to the front bumper. I immediately pointed out the damage as it was extremely noticeable on a brand new car. The valet directed me to file a report with the company, which I did in less then 1 week, I requested a police report at the time and was told by the valet that it was not necessary as he caused the damage and was very apologetic. As requested by the Valet "Claims Coordinator" ******, I attained an estimate from my autobody shop for the cost of the repairs which resulted to approximately $4200. After submitting all of the requested paperwork and estimate, I was advised by ****** that their independent appraiser would need to also examine my vehicle, and that the company will be making their decision after they create a value of the damage. After the inspection I was sent a notice via mail that the appraiser only valued the damage to my vehicle at around $740. On reading their estimate I noted that the appraiser used software from 1994 and only appraised my bumper as needing repair only. The damage to the paint and plastic of the bumper were past repair and warranted replacement to be in like new condition. Also the bumper was out of alignment with the front fender and hood which would warrant removal to realign it. By removing the bumper, the front facing camera system, forward facing radar and other various sensors would have to be recalibrated. I attempted to reach out to the company directly via email to the Vice President ******************* and did not get a response. For a company to admit fault then offer little to nothing to repair damage is not only unprofessional but unethical. I WANT MY VEHICLE FIXED PROP**Y AND BACK TO LIKE NEW CONDITION.

      Claimant was at ******************** ER at approximately 3:50 am with his wife.  Claimant states that upon returning to hie vehicle he noticed the damages.

      Claimant subsequently sent in an estimate for $4,338.00 from his body shop, North Star Auto Body.

      We sent out our insurance company's licensed appraiser who provided an estimate for $742.00.  The mount of $742.00 was offering in full settlement of the claim, but it was rejected by the claimant.  Claimant appealed our offer.  We reevaluated the claim and increased the hourly rate of labor and offered $842.00 in full settlement.  We also offered to repair the vehicle at one of the body shops that we do business for over 40 years, and we guaranteed all the work performed.  Additionally, we offered $45.00 toward the cost of a rental vehicle, if needed, during the time claimant's vehicle was being repaired.

      Attempts have been made to resolve this claim.  We have provided the claimant with a few options.  Unfortunately, all offers have been rejected.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      Parking systems has offered to settle for an increased amount of $100 from the original offer of $742, which still leaves me with an extreme amount of out of pocket repair costs. Also they have only given me an option of taking my vehicle to a body shop that I am not familiar with. My shop at which I provided an estimate has been doing reputable and trusted work for myself and my family for over a decade. As per the response from parking systems, the have also offered to pay $45 for a rental vehicle which would additionally leave me out of pocket to cover a difference in cost. Their offer also only covers the minimal repair of the damage, not including if any underlying damage is present, which is noted on the estimate that parking systems as created since it does not include removal and realignment of the bumper. I feel that if there is underlying damage it would put my family's life in danger if work is not completed in its enitrety including inspection of underlying structures. The bumper is totally misaligned from the surrounding structures of the vehicle. Having no option to take my vehicle to a shop of my choosing takes away my feeling of security that the work will be done correctly. Lastly parking systems has given me a hold harmless agreement to sign if I accept any terms of their choosing. Which would leave any guarantee that work is completed totally void. Lastly as per section 2610 of the ************* law "an insurance company cannot require that repairs be made to a motor vehicle in a particular place or repair shop. You have the right to have your vehicle repaired in the shop of your choice." Their request to have my vehicle repaired at their own shop violates my lawful right. I have attached the hold harmless form, original claim form filled out by the parking systems employee which clearly noted damage observed and that the attendant caused the damage. I have also attached the independent appraisal that was done by parking systems and my estimate from my own body shop.

      We have reviewed the complainant's rejection and comments regarding our first response to this complaint.

      We have gone over the original complaint and offer and the options we have available are as follows:

      1. Allow us to repair the vehicle at ****'s Body Works, guarantee the work and provide $50.00 per day towards the cost of a rental. Complainant would be given the corporate discount at Enterprise rental and we are confident he could secure a vehicle that would suit him best;

      2. Accept the amount of $842.00 which is our insurance company's appraisers estimate of the damage; or

      3. Alternatively, Mr. *** can put the claim through his insurance company.  ************* carrier will settle the matter and subrogate his rights against the parking management company.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      I will only accept option to have the repairs done at ****** body works if the rental vehicle is covered totally and I do not incur any out of pocket costs for a suitable vehicle to transport myself and my family in the interim while the vehicle is being repaired. I would also like a scope of work that ****'s autobody will be performing AT YOUR COST along with a guarantee that the work would be performed correctly and that I will not be incurring any costs out of pocket to repair the damage to my vehicle while in your valet's care.
