Great company, does the right thing. My mom, in a knee jerk reaction orderred a $2,000 scooter when her's broke down. It was easily repaired, so she did not need a new one. *** at 1800Wheelchair.com was very understanding. He handled the cancellation of the order and provided a full refund. Terrible company. Purchased a Feather motorized wheelchair for my father and we have had nothing but problems with it. I would blame the manufacturer rather than 1800wheelchair except my issue is far more their lack of customer support and lackluster desire to do anything to make it right. First, the *********** went out, it took a month of emailing and begging to get the motor sent to us. Responses were slow at best and didn't ever show much desire to do anything to resolve. Now the left motor has gone out and I am back to the same cycle of emailing, waiting days, and getting a non-response, "Unfortunately an item in your order has experienced an additional delay in the fulfillment stage." This chair has changed my life. Ive become independent again. I love everything about it its fast, light and easy to handle, and has good battery life. The only thing I wish were different is where the charging cord plugs in. It forces me to put my feet on the ground which hurts and **** all the way over to the floor which hurts my back and neck, and fumble around underneath the battery where I cant see what Im doing to try to get it in. Its difficult and painful and I dont understand why it isnt in an easily accessible place.Review from Gilbert P

The good, the bad and the ugly. The bad and ugly:My wheelchair arrived, there was some type of design defect and the chair would not fold up. **************** has an interesting method, you email them, sometimes you can get through to someone directly, but it takes a minute to go through the channels and speak with someone who can resolve your issue. Since my chair wouldn't fold up, I had an interesting quandry of having to figure out how to package it to send it back. The second bad thing, there are no good videos explaining how to set your wheelchair up and get it started.The good/great: In light of this situation, they did EVERYTHING they could do to make it as easy as possible to exchange chairs. 'Could they have anticipated this problem so it would be smooth sailing? I'm not sure, but they worked with me and really tried to be flexible while we figured this out. Eventually I was able to send the chair back and they sent me a new one quickly.I LOVE THIS CHAIR!!!!!! It's 50 lbs, light weight for a wheelchair and moves quickly over various terrains. I rate people on how they react to problems when they occur, and I am happy with my product and the resolution we finally came to.Review from Megan J

Ordered a custom wheelchair along with a *** go backrest and M2 active cushion. Wheelchair arrived after 5 weeks (which was within the timeline given) but it didnt ship with the backrest or seat cushion. So I had to email the company and ask for them. A couple days later I get a notification that the M2 active cushion has shipped (nothing about the backrest). A few days after that a box turns up at my door. The shipping info attached to the outside of the box says the M2 active cushion. Low and behold I open the box and its the backrest. I email the company again. I get a response a few days later saying that according to them the cushion is what arrived. Not only have I still not received the cushion I paid for. According to them I havent received the backrest yet and not made any mention of that. There also was a small error with how the chair was set up but luckily that could be fixed since the chair has some adjustability.Review from Kevin T.

I am extremely dissapointed with this company and wanted to file a complaint.I have MS and recently broke my leg. I needed a new wheelchair and first contacted 1800wheel...on 8/4. Salesperson was friendly and told me only about their models "featherewt", but I only wanted either the Tilite (aero around ****) or the Quickie 2. She would give no info an said I needed to speak with a specialist.In total I wasted 8 days and told **** by email that if she didn't help me I would go elsewhere. Over 8 days I kept calling to get the process going. Each person gave ****** name, email, and tele #. When I called here answering machine said she was busy and send her an email.I finally realized they don't care and only want to sell their own product.Each time I called thy asked my contact info but never did anything.Tilite and Quickie would probably be angry that you are only showing their products, as a "Bait and Switch"If sompany won't help me buy a product they advertise, they wasted a lot of my time.I really only tried to get the Tilite but never had opportunity to get the Quiekie.Sincerely,***********************Review from S. Typically, powered chairs should last at least five years.I ordered the 'new' Hybrid wheelchair.Shortly after arrival, it had a number of issues where the ordered battery didn't arrive, a motor burnt out within the first use, and the initial sent battery began expanding.The company sent a replacement motor and battery and after several months the correct, extended battery.The entire unit is dead within a year and a half - we aren't even sure why. We try and connect with technicians and like last time, it's a game of cat-and-mouse. They call strictly on times we specify are work hours, and don't call back when followed up on, or are conveniently unavailable at all times. It's not worth the hassle.The wheelchair battery does not last as long as advertised. The extended battery lasts as long as the original. The chair is strictly suitable for INDOOR USE, where the advertising shows it clearly in use outdoors, it cannot handle more than a 1/2" incline (actually, it cannot handle more than 1/4") to add to that, it doesn't even have more than a few years' lifetime occasional use. We're talking biweekly grocery store trips. Not even 100 hours worth of use. Even with the chair being carefully transported/stored in home in a dry, clean and room temperature environment.Much of it's products appear to be drop-shipped. I found the exact device and it's actual manufacturer which was not, as advertised, the USA.Do not, under any circumstances, purchase an item from this company if you care about the person you're purchasing for. You're investing in disappointment. I will be following/finding all review sites I can to warn others. Avoid this company at ALL costs!1 800 Wheelchair.com Response

I placed an order with a guaranteed ship date by the 19th. I call them on the 20th and I am told oh it will now ship by the *********************************************************** well it might be shipped out by this Friday (the 27th). For almost three grand I would expect them to actually be true to their word about ship dates. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service representatives who do not seem to care about the customers who are purchasing medical devices. This isn't a t shirt or a fancy tv, this is a wheelchair. One that I unfortunately need in order to go about my life. And it seems as though they find it to be an inconvenience that I am upset when they do not deliver on their promises.1 800 Wheelchair.com Response

I ordered leg rest three months ago, at the time they said the parts were in stock, they took my money and never sent my parts. I have sent them e mails and I have called them. All they give me is excuses, It's not in stock, they are on back order, they are getting the parts from a different company. I wouldn't give them a half star and will never order anything else from them. I'm a very unsatisfied customer. I told them in my last e mail, if they were not going to send me my leg rest then give me my money back. Since then all I get back from them is e mails saying they will send me a e mail when they ship my order. I started e mailing them one month after they took my money. I put one star because it wouldn't let post my review unless I put at lease one star on here.Review from tony y

My mother purchased a $600 wheelchair. It was assembled three weeks later and does not fit her, too wide and difficult to use. **************** stated it was a couple of days past the 30 day warranty and would be sticking to that.What kind of business takes advantage of people with disabilities?
