  Craftsmanship. Attention to detail. Communication. Value. We could not be more pleased with our experience working with Jesse and his team at La Tray Construction. After hail damage to our home in Farmington, we had a number of things that needed to be addressed that necessitated working with different companies. La Tray has been the best to work with by far. Jesse worked with us on a plan to attack the siding that helped us keep costs in line with our insurance claim. They also provided additional information for the insurance company when asked. They truly don’t use subcontractors and take great pride in their work. They were tenacious in finding everything to match our siding and downspouts. They worked over multiple days and each day the exterior was left tidy. They very respectful of the property and neighbors. Everything looks better than we even expected. We will be calling them again when other projects arise. In fact, we’ve already done so to have new storm doors installed.

  This is an update to our review from August 17, 2024. We have been enjoying the work La Tray Construction performed for us and prompted to add to what we already said. Many neighbors and visitors have commented on the quality and appearance of the work. People have gone out of their way to pass on glowing reviews. Among the people who have stopped by are construction professionals. A couple have even asked to look more closely at the work. All have been impressed. Among comments that stick out are on work ethic and site maintenance. One professional said that he was impressed that the crew showed up on time or early, kept the site well organized, and cleaned up before leaving (many times having stayed late to finish a task or take advantage of weather). He has looked more closely at the work and been impressed and noted that he felt he could tell this from the work ethic alone, before looking carefully. We are even more pleased now than when the work was finished! So glad we chose La Tray.

  La Tray Construction performed a complete remake project on our house including fascia boards and gutters, soffits, exterior doors (including entry doors and a slider), windows, siding, replacing and adding exterior lighting and outlets, some stonework, and much structural work. Jesse La Tray has a keen eye for creativity and was able to design attractive solutions for cosmetic and structural improvements. He and a key assistant were onsite throughout the project along with various other professionals as needed. He performed much of the work and directed the entire effort. Our involvement was sought and respected throughout the project. As important findings were made along the way, we were shown the issues and included in plans and decisions. La Tray was flexible with the project, making adjustments as it went forward. The crew took the time to do things correctly and paid attention to details 100%, not just 80%. Jesse worked in a very personalized and responsive manner yielding an individualized and distinctive finished product that is a very tasteful, structurally improved, more energy efficient, and more comfortable home. We call it our new home and are thrilled with the outcome. Important is that though there are major improvements and modifications, the cost was essentially no more than “just doing the job”. The difference is that La Tray is able to add extra value which is the difference between good and great work.

  We had wind damage to our vinyl siding. Wanted to use a local contractor near our home in Marion. Contacted La Tray Construction in Sodus. We called on Thursday morning, and Owner Jesse came out that evening. He gave us an estimate with clear information what could be done, what materials may be needed and the cost for the job. When he came to do the job, there were a few minor things which also needed to be done, he let us know, got our go ahead, completed an exceptional job. The yard was left was left very clean.
