We have a maintenance contract with Reimer Heating and Cooling since approximately the 2nd week of december 2023.That is when we had an emergency and had to have a water tank replaced as ours was leaking all over our basement.At that time in order to get the maximum warrenty(10yrs) on our newly purchased water tank we were told we had to take out a service contract with Reimer.Otherwise we would only get a 5yr warrenty on our tank.So we felt pressured but bought it anyways.We were in the middle of my wifes cancer treatments and a basement full of water.Which we took care of not them. Fast forward to 2/26/2024 our 1st appointment for our maintenance contract and a tune up on our furnance.The appointment was to be 5pm-5:30 and the maintenance man did not arrive until 8pm.I sat and watched him perform the required tune up.All the while never doing any actual work but just pointing out what parts of the furnace "might fail" or are likely to fail do to age. The furnance was working fine and all that was neccessary was to do the contracted tune up.At every turn i tried politely to get the serviceman to just do his job and not talk and try to sell me parts that i did not need.A full 1/2 an hour went by without any actual work being done on my furnace.So i asked him to put the shield back on my furnace and please leave my residance.He then became beliggerant and continued to try and sell me items i did not need or want.I requested that he stop talking and trying to sell me what i did not want and leave my residence.The total number of request was 5x.Finnaly i said if he did not replace the shield to my furnace and leave my premisis i would call the police.Finnaly he left.So i feel that my contract with reimer was breached by this serviceman whom continued to try a sales pitch to replace varied components of my furnace to no avail.And became beliggerant and abusive to a 68 year old man with a cancerous wife over a no-sale situation.No furnace tune-up was completed.
