    I have an used gift certificate/card to this store and I went to use it and see the store has now closed. From what I have seen in the papers, customers were not notified and I would like my gift card refunded of $100 which was never used.

    I've been a consignor of Simplicity Consignment Shop on Rt 376 in ************ for years. Over these years I have had some issues getting payments from, ******/owner, for items that I consigned that were sold. My consignor number is/was #***. After follow-*** with her I did get my money. However, I just found out that the shop is permanently closed. I was never notified of the closing and have a payout balance of $191.84 for items that were sold. How can I recover my money? On a side note, ****** hasn't been forthcoming of her actions or items that I consigned in the shop. I consigned a pair of vintage **************************** shoes along with numerous vintage clothing items that I never saw in the shop and pretty sure that she sold them online for a lot of money, none of which I ever was paid. Obviously, it's my word against hers. (She's made a lot of money off my items over the years).

    I dropped off several items at The Simplicity Consignment Shop In ****************, **** and the shop has now closed due to nonpayment of rent, and I cannot retrieve my items.

    The check that ****** (the owner) gave me for the sold items that I had consigned bounced back which resulted in fees. She has been ignoring me and not responding to my messages.

    Items were dropped off at Simplicity Consign for sale in March of 2022. ****** the owner said some items were sold in the Summer of 2022. Check was never received. Followed up in November and was told the check would be put in the mail immediately. As of 3/7/23 no check has been received. She sold some items and never ever sent the money due. Items were dropped off on March 2022. Some were sold Summer of 2022. This is not an isolated case. There are several people according to ****** reviews who have had their merchandise taken from them, sold and never received money (and have never received unsold items back). This is essentially a scam. Attaching other people who have said the same thing happened to them. It looks like BBB contacted her and she didn't reply? Is that all that can be done?

    I had given this company a bag to sell. Once the bag was sold, she gave me a check that bounced back. I had written emails and called multiple times but did not hear back. I showed up at the store and she told me to come back the next day but came up with an excuse every time. As I was driving to the store a different day an "employee" texted me saying the owner was not in the store today but could pay me back the next day. Once I walked in the owner was actually the one texting me pretending to be an employee of hers. We agreed that I would have to come in again the next day to grab my cash. I showed up at the store the next day and the store was closed. She has blocked my number and I can not get in contact with her.

    ****** the owner, owes me $870. I was told repeatedly that she just had to go to the bank and she continued telling me that for almost two weeks before she disconnected her phone number. I've tried reaching out on ******** through messages and she hasn't responded to any of them. I've tried calling the store and no one answers. I've tried texting the number that's listed on the simplicity website for texting and no response on that either.

    I entered into a 90 day contract with Simplicity Consign to sell my clothes on June 15, 2022.After the 90 day period, I went online and reviewed my account and saw that I was due $69.90. I then contacted the company by email and asked that a check be cut and mailed to me. I then tried calling and left numerous messages. I then reached out to them by email on Oct 10, Oct 20, and Nov 17. I then received an email saying sorry for the delay and that the check was in the mail. I still havent received my money. I sent another email asking them what happened to my check and still havent received an answer. I went online and started reading reviews where people claim they have been waiting for over a year for their check.

    Consigned twice with with Simplicity. First time-requested payment for items sold, as per contract. Did not receive payment. Went to store. Owner proceeded to tell me about her personal problems and said don't worry, you'll get your money. Unprofessional but I did finally receive a check by mail. Second consignment-brought 12 pairs of designer jeans (******, *********** *******, etc). Was given a paper list of items at time of consignment, though items never showed to my online account so I had no way of knowing what was selling. Visited store to inquire about this issue. Owner didn't explain what the problem was but did renew consignment. Also left a pair of worn once leather boots for consignment at that time. Items still were not showing on my online account. I made many attempts to reconcile my account by phone and email without success. If I wanted to donate these items, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble.
