Please DO NOT waste your time getting a credit card with PFCP or Premier Finance Card Program, formerly HSBC. They are the absolute WORST of the WORST when it comes to customer service. Today is 11/8/2025 and I am a federal employee who has not been paid by my employer, Social Security Administration, since 10/1/2025, due to Trump’s government shutdown. That’s right, me and my family (I have two dependents/children, one of whom is a freshman in college, have been without ANY income since 10/1/2025, but yet when I called PFCP the first time on 10/20/25 to explain my financial hardship to them and to ask that they defer my credit card payment for 11/7/25 their answer to me was, “we don’t do that.” Furthermore, when I asked to speak with a manager I was told that “there is no manager available.” I then called PFCP again on 11/7/25, the date that my payment was due, and the person I spoke with on that date was a little more sympathetic and said she would email the help desk to ask about relieve for federal employees and by the way, also mentioned that many federal employees had called PFCP to inquire about the same issue but that PFCP had not notified their employees of any policy related to the government shutdown (SHAMEFUL!). I then told the customer service agent that I would call PFCP again today, 11/8/25, to inquire about whether an answer was given or a response to her email to the help desk was made but when I explained to the agent I spoke with today her answer was only, “there’s nothing PFCP can do to help federal employees who’re being affected by the shutdown.” Not wanting my excellent credit score to be affected, I just went ahead and paid the minimum balance due. Still, I think it’s deplorable and in bad taste that PFCP has no policy about how their customers who’re government employees should be treated during a shutdown where clearly they’re not being paid due to no fault of their own.

Had my account for many years. Never missed a payment, never late on a payment. Never went over my limit, but have gotten close because of a health situation and the LA fires in the last few months. So I get a random letter stating they are closing my account, just like that because I'm close to my limit? Like I said, I never defaulted one payment with this company. So I called in response to this letter and instead of reopening my account and working with me like my other creditors until I get thru these hard times, their response was....we can close your account if we like per our agreement.Stay away from this company! They are absolutely horrible! They will close your account and ruin your credit for no valid reason.

My **** account was bought out by Premier Finance Program and at that point, I voluntarily closed the account but I still had a balance. I've been trying to pay off the balance but the interest rates keep increasing. I've reached out for a "hardship" program or payment plan and they've advised me that I need to miss a monthly payment and default on the account so that it can go to collections and get worked out in court. I am trying to stay out of court and have successfully been able to get on "hardship programs" or payment plans with the rest of my accounts and don't understand why this bank in particular won't do that. My monthly payment is 95% interest! At least, the rates could be reduced or frozen at some point or I will never be able to pay this off with all the compounding interest! I'm trying to be responsible and not default but it would be nice if the bank met me half way.

PF/CP charged my mother $41 late fees monthly for 3 months, after she was 2 days late with the payment because I could not send it by bank check and had to mail it via ***** My father had just died and she has dementia. It is despicable that she is paying 127 dollars in late fees (for a $20 item) after I spoke with them every month x3 and thought the fees were resolved. The government does not protect elders and companies that victimize them are evil and shameful. Including the costumer service representatives that conduct their debt collection. By working for these companies you encourage taking money from people who cannot defend themselves. No stars for Premier Finance Card

Switched automatically from h s b c to p f c p. Have two accounts One for me and one for my wife. I live right outside of ***********. Every time I mail a payment either for mine or my wife's payment. It takes over two weeks to reach them by mail. Longest has been 22 days. I think they're doing this on purpose to charge late payments. Please be aware of this I cannot get anywhere by calling the company.
