Cannon pool and spa sold us a pool and some work for roughly 28,000 in about March 2021. Pool was put in late, rushed, they hired cheap contractors now our concrete is caving and dropping, the liner has air, the company has been out about 17 times for repairs and made it worse everytime. We have been called liars, told we beat up on the people, and given attitude. Originally working with V.P. of sales Mike D******, asked for his boss for over two months and got ignored then they gave us V.P of operations, which is his coworker. We had professional concrete person ***** ********* come and look and he said the concrete was ruined and giving out Jeff from cannon then told us to tell him to go **** himself. Multiple cannon associates walk in our backyard and start working with no notice that they are at our house. We are tired of them messing with us and telling us one thing then saying another we need help please.

Eddie h**** is a scam artist. We got a 24 ft. 54 inch deep above ground pool installed. Along with cannon pools. They left thousands worth of damage to my mothers lawn. They are taking no responsibility. They saw it’s all normal. They placed the blame on a dead man. My father! Eddie h**** claimed he had several conversations with my father who passed away in august of 2021. My father and I met with Eddie once before he passed away. We didn’t get the pool until may 7, 2022. There was no conversation. It was just convenient for them to blame a dead man. Their word or his. How sad! There are gaping holes. We have almost a whole acre altogether and nearly half Of that is ruined. Dug up. Not level. Six inch track divots all over the side yard, and backyard. Mounds of sod left after we paid $600 for them to take it away. This is a legal scam! It states in the contract they aren’t liable for any yard restoration. Yet they never tell you they are going to leave your yard in disarray. With thousands of damage. They were reckless, and amateurs. Stay away from this company!!!

      Cannon Pools & Spas Response

When a pool is purchased, whether above or in ground, there are certain costs that are exclusive. Examples of these costs that are excluded are the permit fee, electrical, inspection fee, water, and lawn restoration. We explain this thoroughly during the buying process, and it is clearly outlined in our signed contract: "seller does not backfill or haul away excess fill for above ground pools" -> you chose to pay the foreman directly to haul away to extra sod from your yard. It is the home owner's responsibility to push the dirt up against bottom track and wall after the electric is complete and inspected. The pool was installed perfectly. Until a machine is invented that jumps from the road to the backyard there will always be lawn restoration post pool install. Your yard did have more than normal because it was off grade close to 1' and it had many rocks, which were native to your yard. We are not insensitive to the fact that your father has passed away, but we have completed our scope of work to industry standards and it is now up to the home owner to topsoil and seed the disturbed area of the yard. This is also outlined in our signed contract "buyer is responsible for landscaping, including topsoil, and grass seed, as necessary".

There is $7800 worth of damage to be exact to the lawn. This is above landscaping. It needs excavation work. Cannon pools messed up on the digging. The sub contractor that works for cannon pools. He is paid by cannon to put in the pool. He messed up and over dug by nearly 2ft!!!! We have a three foot dig on one side. And the other side they tried to hide their mistake by pushing dirt, and rocks up against the pool. They also should have put the pool back about a foot further. This would have eliminated the slight incline. But they didn’t know what they were doing. This was confirmed by several contractors. They also didn’t put enough sand underneath it to Level it. This could affect the liner, and all around life of the pool. I would also like to remind you that we paid an additional $600 for sod to be removed. Yet they left MOUNDS of it. The sod left left isn’t able to be used for any dirt around the pool because of the rocks, and weight of the sod. Something that cannon being “professionals” should know. This was confirmed by several contractors as well. Loose screws all over the yard, and even in the pool. There was also a leak in the pool. Eddie h**** told me all I had to do was get into the pool, tighten a screw. Why is this my responsibility?? The pool Wasn’t installed correctly. These people should be ashamed of themselves to call them self a family Owned business. They do not care about local families at all. We had no conversations when I went in 2021 with my father to meet about the pool. We had no conversations this magnitude of damage was capable. We never would have agreed to let cannon install it, if we had known. But that’s lost money for them, so of course they lie. My father died in august of 2021. So it is easy for them to blame someone who isn’t even here to defend themselves. Also the verbal language in the contract is very open ended. It doesn’t outline the magnitude of damage that is capable. This above “top soil and grass seed” we need heavy machinery to come in and fix the mistake cannon pools made. They should be held responsible, and accountable for their mistake. They hide behind their contract that my father signed. Not my mother. Remind you my father died in august of 2021. So shouldn’t have things been explained again to my mother. They weren’t. Nor were they explained to me while I went there with my father. We are now here to warn people of this company. We have heard several stories of the same being done by cannon to others. Some even worse. Sad!!!
