On May 23, 2025, I applied to join the Worldwide Women's Association with a lifetime membership fee of $149USD, which I agreed to after a brief phone interview, and a representative informing me that I had been accepted. This charge was shown on my credit card statement as THEWOMENSASSOCIATIONWW. On July 9, 2025, I received a notification from my bank regarding an unusual transaction on my credit card in the amount of $616.17 from THEWOMENSASSOCIATIONWW. I did not authorize this payment and let my credit card company know that I did not recognize the transaction and so it did not go through. I have attempted to call their finance department at **************, which refers you to their support email and have emailed that support email 4x since the charge was attempted. They don't answer their phones and no one has responded to my inquiries. After reviewing information about them online, I discovered that I am not alone; many other victims have labeled this organization as a scam. The Worldwide Womens Organization and its practices are highly deceptive and I don't want to belong to anything of that nature. I will be calling my credit card company to change my credit card number as I am fearful they will try another charge again. I want my initial payment back and I want my membership closed. I do not want to be affiliated with anything like this. This scam must come to an end. Please be vigilant and avoid falling into a trap like I did.Business Response

Since April 2025, I have been charged $39 per month by Global Womens Group for a membership I never knowingly signed up for or authorized. I have never received a clear explanation of what these charges are for nor given consent to be billed.I have contacted the organization four times via email requesting immediate cancellation and a refund, but I have received no response whatsoever. This lack of accountability is extremely disappointingparticularly from an organization that claims to support and empower women.I am requesting:Immediate cancellation of this unauthorized membership,A full refund for all charges since April 2025, and A confirmation that my account and payment information have been removed from their ********* is unacceptable for any businessespecially one representing itself as a womens empowerment organizationto ignore consumers and engage in deceptive billing practices. I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter.Business Response

On 5/30 this company charged my CC $299 for a lifetime membership. As of 7/18, they charged my CC $449.99 unauthorized. I tried contacting ***** via their phone number and could not reach anyone. Therefore, I submitted an email and was told its for a Press Release which they do not have anything to release as they've never sent anything. I've contacted my ********** and filed a fraud charge and requested that my membership be canceled immediately. This company is a scam and I don't want to be associated with it.Business Response

I received a phone call from worldwide womens association about a membership and I was told I would receive my membership information in the mail in a couple of weeks. It has been over a month and I have received nothing from them. I received another call from worldwide womens Web and I explained that I had not received any information, but they continued to have a conversation with me about website listings on the Internet and how they help with that as a member, however, my bank called saying I had a $299 charge, that I had never approved, by them was coming through my account!?! I told them instantly that I did not approve the charge, now Im in the process of being refunded and hopefully can have this resolved through my bank.Business Response

I made the mistake of listening to an agent from the Worldwide Women's Association. They promised networking with other women in the airline industry. She told me the fee was in ***, they took a lifetime membership in USD I was told I had 30 days to cancel, yet on the website, it's only 15, and no one will answer the phone. All their promises were lies; there is no write-up, no introductions, and most importantly, no invoice for the fee they ******* I have any recourse to get my money back?Business Response

This business is a scam. Admittedly, I voluntary joined and paid the one "lifetime" charge. I have since been charged randomly two additional times. Trying to reach someone by phone does not work. The last time they accepted an email and reversed the charge, but they did not remove my credit card information. I think they hope I have used my card so often I won't notice a random UNAUTHORIZED charge. Simply refunding is not enough. Literally stop charging me, please. It's a pain to resolve.Business Response

I signed up for a "lifetime membership" early in May, 2025, and paid at the time of signing up. Out of the blue, I have been charged an additional, unauthorized $449.99 USD (over $600 CAD!!). This is absolutely terrible and beyond unethical for a network supposedly supporting women in business to take unauthorized payments.I demand a full refundThe $449.99USD taken without authorization, and the original $149.99USD paid in May. I do not want to be associated with an organization who unethically preys on women in business. This theft ensured that I could not make planned purchases for my business today. Completely unconscionable.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have not received any emails from the support or account teams. I have reviewed my junk and spam folders as well. In addition, every email that I have sent to the support email provided has bounced back.
This was not supposed to be a subscription. As per the original email sent to me, it was a one-time payment, lifetime membership. The fact that you switched this to a "subscription" after the original consent to the lifetime membership was provided is VERY concerning. Please cancel this "subscription" and provide me with a full refund to the original card.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
***** ******

In September 2023, I applied to join the Worldwide ********************* believing it would be a great representation of professional women. After a brief phone interview, a representative informed me that I had been accepted as a member. However, to participate in this organization, I was required to pay a one-time lifetime membership fee of $149, which I agreed to.On June 20, 2025, I received a notification from my bank regarding an unauthorized charge of $459.99 to my debit card. I did not authorize this payment and have not agreed to any future charges from this organization. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the ****************** since September 2023during their office hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, Monday through Fridaymy calls have gone unanswered, leaving me with a deep sense of injustice. After reviewing information about the *** online, I discovered that I am not alone; many other victims have labeled this organization as a scam. The Worldwide Womens Organization and its practices are highly deceptive. They have never sent me any emails, receipts, or explanations regarding the annual charges for 2023 and 2024. I have closed my credit card and disputed this transaction with my bank's fraud department for the third time. I have previously attempted to cancel my account and have received no services in exchange for the $149 membership fee. This scam must come to an end. Please be vigilant and avoid falling into a trap like I did.Business Response
