Deceptive Practices by "breeder" ********* from Good Dog. I reached out to *********, about "Yorkie boy 2" "ready now" a pup she posted on the Good Dog site, and later used as bait and switch. I messaged her requesting recent pictures and more information on the dog. She answered days later and only sent a single picture very similar to the one posted and no information. Days went by and I didn't hear from her again, so I called the number posted on the Good Dog site to find out why I didn't hear from her since I really liked the pup and was eager to bring it home. I was told by Good Dog to message her again and ask her to call me - I did. She called a few days later and said the 2nd picture was another dog not the dog she advertised. I was disappointed but was ok with the picture of the other pup and still wanted to get him. She agreed to video call me the following day at 4 p.m. to show me the dog. The next day at 4 she didn't call until I texted her 45 minutes later reminding her of the call. She made lame excuses for not calling but finally called. I viewed the puppy and parents, the puppy seemed dark, being the parents were light colored. (party breed) It was very different from other party puppies she posted on her Instagram. Nevertheless I was set on picking up the dog and prepare to make a 2+ hr. trip She didn't try to accommodate me at all in picking up the dog, she claimed she would be away and said she would call me early the next morning to let me know her availability, but AGAIN she never called. I had to text her again to find out if I would be taking the trip, she didn't reply till the end of the day to say she wouldn't be around for the weekend and didn't even propose an alternate day.Dealing with ********* was a real struggle, she's not professional or personable at all, her attitude makes you uncomfortable. She lead me to believe for an entire week I would be getting a puppy. She's horrible and I do not recommend her as she is deceptive.

Hi *****,Thank you for reaching out. We're so sorry to hear that you didn't have the experience you came to us for, and completely understand your frustration with this breeders delay in communication. While this doesn't excuse the delay you experienced, many Good Dog Breeders are busy with daily care for their adult dogs and puppies, socialization activities and enrichment for developing litters, and veterinary appointments for growing pups, so they may take a bit longer to reply during particularly busy periods, like when they have a new litter. Please reach out to our team anytime by emailing us at ****************************** so we can suggest other breeders who may be a better fit for what you're looking for, and help turn your experience into a positive one.Warmly,The Good Dog Team

Im deeply disappointed in Good Dogs lack of transparency.I purchased a puppy through their platform and had a number of issues with the breeder from poor communication to health concerns that shouldve been disclosed upfront. I took the time to write a detailed and honest review, only to learn that Good Dog doesnt publicly publish reviews unless the breeder agrees to it. That means breeders can cherry-pick only the positive feedback and hide anything thats less flattering no matter how truthful or helpful it would be for future buyers. If I had seen a single honest review like mine before spending over $4,000, I wouldve made a different decision. I even flagged my concerns with Good Dog early in the process, but nothing was done. Now I understand why: negative feedback is kept hidden, and the platform enables that by design.Good Dog markets itself as a safe and trusted place to find a puppy, but how can buyers trust a system where only glowing testimonials are shown? Thats not transparency thats curation.Ill be sharing my experience across other platforms, because buyers deserve to know the truth before making such an important and expensive decision. Good Dog needs to take accountability and revise this policy if they truly care about trust and animal welfare.

If getting scammed is your thing, then this is the place for you.Good Dog is nothing but a flashy website with ZERO real regulation behind it. They act like theyre a trusted source for finding reputable breeders, but the truth is theyre just a website profiting off of unsuspecting buyers. They take a huge cut from every puppy sold and slap on fake badges to make it seem like the breeders are thoroughly vettedwhen in reality, anyone can get listed if they fill out the right answers. There is no licensing, no USDA oversight, and the so-called screening process is a complete joke. Tons of backyard breeders are on this site using shady practices, fake health tests, and breeding dogs in poor conditions. Its horrifying. Ive seen multiple complaints that echo the same thing I experiencedthis site is not what it claims to be.Good Dog is misleading, unregulated, and dangerous for people looking for healthy, well-bred dogs. The Good Breeder label means absolutely nothing. Just a money-making scam disguised as a safe platform. Stay far away.

This company is not all its cut out to be all the fluffy, friendly advertisements, and cutesy site, discriminates on individuals and dogs individually. They advised that there would not approve my account describing my babies as " big rope dogs" mind you the have the caption go bulldog as being and option and then have a laundry list of other " big rope dogs" aka bulldogs also with "approved" profiles. its either you allow them as a whole or not at all. I will be disqualifying the reputation of this " mean dog" company for sure

Hi ******,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Were glad that a member of our team has already been able to work through this with you and share more information about our Community Standards, Good Breeder Code of Ethics, and Policies, and how they may apply to your individual breeding program. As they mentioned, every breeder in our community must pass our screening process and meet or exceed our community standards, including our Breeder Code of Ethics and our minimum health testing requirements (linked below), before joining Good Dog. After breeders join Good Dog, we have routine check-ins to ensure continued compliance with these standards.-************************************************************ -*********************************************************** -*********************************************************************************************** We take upholding our standards and policies incredibly seriously, and can assure you that our Compliance Team conducted a thorough review to ensure our standards and policies are applied consistently and fairly. Big Rope bulldogs, which are bred for exaggerated wrinkles and facial features, fall outside of our standards due to the increased risk of breathing difficulties, skin infections, and other health complications associated with these extreme characteristics. This doesn't diminish the dedication and care you have for your dogs we certainly appreciate the passion you have for your breeding program and the dogs in your care.We apologize that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but we truly wish you the best with your breeding program moving forward.Warmly,The Good Dog Team

I was looking for a Shih Tzu puppy and connected with 2 local breeders who had 2 male Shih tzus for sale. Since they were local they came over today. Really nice guys with 2 children. Brought both puppies. Unfortunately my 5 year old **** *** and my caregivers dont believe its a good idea to get a puppy. I must say these breeders were honest, kind and helpful people. Im older and handicapped so a puppy is difficult for me. Anyway, my experience with Good Dog was excellent, and if you do your research and choose your breeder wisely I would recommend Good Dog to anyone looking for a puppy.

BREEDERS BEWARE----i have been a breeder for over 30 years and never have i had an issue with clients or scammers. Sold a puppy to a person who signed a contract, and didn't abide by it at all. after two days texted me wanted a full AKC paper work when that was never spoken about, and he signed the contract for a pet only, then said wanted ***** back and he would not go away, finally had to block him from my phone. he then notified Good dog lying about the puppies health, i jumped through good dogs hoops and spoke with the scammer and Good dog. I even spoke with the vet that the scammer finally toke puppy to 2 weeks after receiving puppy, when contract states 48hrs; vet said not clinically cherry eye but would like to do surgery for possible future issues which the puppy didn't have. When talking to good dog they didn't care about my contract and wanted me to send item after item to prove I wasn't the one lying not the scammer trying to get now 1900 refund. i even asked them to contact the other puppy clients who had stellar things to say about the pups, some willing to give notarized statements stating such, one client even had her vet send message saying their pup from same litter is the healthiest frenchie he had ever seen! Yet they did not, only taking the word of a liar who is trying to get money for an issue that doesn't exist and never took the puppy to the vet for 2 weeks and still hasn't even finished the proper shots for said puppy. i finally sent message stating i wouldn't jump through there hoops after speaking to scammers veterinary and getting different story. BREEDERS BEWARE-- Good dog doesn't care about the breeder rights or contracts and intercedes when scammers find their loophole and lie to get money back based on there lies. I know there are many scammer breeders as well, but the ethical breeders with references and decades of experience shouldn't be treated as such! Good dog remove me from you platform immediately.

“Good Dog” is such a joke. They prey on the name and badge to appear that they have reputable breeders with required standards when breeding. This organization is NOT LICENSED, NOR RECOGNIZED BY USDA profit off of the litters with a percentage from each of the puppy sales that breeders use this platform to post. They make no sense when they “screen” breeders and there are many, many backyard breeders on here that do not health test their dogs or use fake documents as proof. Look at all of the other reviews from people complaining and saying similar things about “Good Dog”. This is a .com website, The badges MEAN NOTHING it is a scam for people looking for puppies to think the dog or puppy they are searching for on this platform is “good”. What a joke and a scam this site should be taken down!

Hi *****,Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. Providing a safe and positive experience for everyone in our community is a top priority. Thats why all breeding programs featured on Good Dog must meet our standards, and we regularly review our breeders to ensure continuous compliance with these standards. While its important to us to enforce these standards consistently and fairly, its always our goal to work directly with breeders who may not be currently meeting these standards, and educate them about how to improve their programs. You can read more about our standards below:-************************************************************ -*********************************************************** -*********************************************************************************************** In case its helpful, its completely free to list a litter on Good Dog. Once we do the work of bringing breeders a buyer that they decide to place their puppy with and a Good Dog buyer makes a successful deposit or final dog payment, well deduct 6.5% from the total amount. This deduction allows us to cover the costs of connecting breeders with qualified buyers, sustaining our operations, and ensuring everyones safety. After checking our records, we haven't been able to locate any Good Dog accounts under your name. We want to make sure we're providing you with the most accurate information possible, so if there might be an account under a different name or if you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us at ****************************** Our team is always here to help.Warmly,The Good Dog Team

I have been with Good Dog for quite some time, and my experience has taken a disappointing turn. Initially, I was pleased with the platform, but issues began to arise when they started collecting fees on puppy sales without any prior notification. I only found out about these charges when a buyer informed me they were charged both a deposit fee and an additional fee on the final payment. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.Furthermore, I attempted to apply for my Frenchies, only to be rejected due to a "no *****" policy. Its baffling to think that dogs are being discriminated against based on their color. Since when do we judge dogs in this way? After my initial denial, I was informed that I needed to wait six months and not have any Merles in my program before reapplying. I complied, rehomed my Merles, and have since had none in my program. Yet, I was denied again for the same reason! This policy feels arbitrary and unfair. Good Dog's approach to dog breeds and colors is not only confusing but also quite frustrating. I would advise anyone considering their services to think twice. Save yourself the hassle and find a more transparent and fair platform for your dogs. Good Dog is a jokeremove your dogs from their program and look elsewhere.

I have several friends on Good Dog that sell pups with 0 requirements of heath testing! When I tried to join they refused my approval if I didn't show proof of heath testing based on a certain breed I have. They should make every single breeder require heath testing, not be biased and only make certain breeders heath test and other breeders with 0 requirements to heath tests! I know for a fact my friend has 0 heath testing on her dogs or pups and has been selling puppies on Good Dog for years now. They want even approval my profile because I haven't had heath testing!? What a joke!
