My senior chihuahua was getting picky with food. So I tried Farmers Dog. He loved it. Before you order, they need info in regards to weight and activity to tailor his food. Unfortunately only 2 months in I had to put my dog down. I advised them and closed my accounts without me having to. Then about a week later I received a plant for their condolences. How thoughtful and sweet. I appreciate this kind gesture. Thank you Farmers dog.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

I have tried to use this company to provide a healthy diet for me pet. The packages show up damaged, missing items and thawed out food. When contacted they do not expedite replacement items and you are required to outsource for food for your pet.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

So refreshing to know that a pet company founded on providing real food to your dog also understands how painful it can be to lose your best friend. It's not just about the money for them, it's about establishing a support community of dog lovers. I appreciated the compassionate response from ******** Dog when my dog ***** passed away. They sent me a beautiful card and plant to show me that they were thinking of me. Way to set the standard high for other companies to follow!The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

This food is very expensive, and as we learned the hard way, it is not only lacking in proper nutrition, it can cause serious illness in dogs. ******** Dog apparently has paid to have ****** hide the bad reviews. Our 6-year old female Sealyham terrier developed numerous GI symptoms after a couple of months on this food, including vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy. We have spent thousands of dollars on testing and treatment. When I dug deep on the Internet, I found that other dog owners have had similar experiences. As soon as we switched to *********** dog food, the symptoms gradually reduced.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

Our dog LOVES ******** Dog food! We started our pup in Jan 2025 on the Turkey recipe and couldn't be happier. Her coat health has improved significantly (less shedding, shinier and thicker coat), she has more energy, and doesn't seem hungry all the time. The customer service is also excellent! I've had to contact them a couple times with general questions and delays due to issues with ****** they were always quick to respond and ensured that any issues were resolved quickly. I also love that you an control when your shipments arrive and can increase/decrease the calories in each package.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

Food looks and feels like compost that restaurants throw out daily - excellent nourishment for hogs and chickens that will eat anything. After one quick sniff, my Yorkie gave me a dirty look. The customer service lady at ******************** said he would get used to it, but for now, "simply" mix it with his old food and try adding some beef gravy or broth to get him kick-started. Ha! This time my Yorkie rolled over and laughed and "simply" strutted away.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.

Hi ******* we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are genuinely sorry to hear that your dog wasn't excited about our fresh recipes. We completely understand that every dog is different and that some may take longer to warm up to a new food source than others.
Additionally, since we don't use any preservatives or additives in our fresh recipes to keep the color consistent, the veggies in our food can sometimes cause a slight color variation to surrounding ingredients and can assure you that the food pictured on our website is the same food we provide for your dog. The ******** Dog is a terrible product. My dog would not eat it after one try at it. I researched it and found that the fat content was high and that there were issues with it not being completely frozen upon arrival. The date on the packaged indicates when it was sent and not when it was made. I feel that it had been sitting for awhile before it wad frozen for shipment thus it's self life was compromised and my dog could sense this causing him to reject it. Shame on them. Our recipes are carefully formulated by our on-staff Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionists to be complete and balanced in all nutrients, including fat. Additionally, our food is freshly made, quickly frozen, and shipped in an insulated box to ensure it arrives safely at your door.
Because safety is so important to us, weve extensively tested our deliveries. Rest assured, as long as your fresh recipes arrive partially frozen or very cold with the food still below 40F, your order is safe to refreeze and serve. Some crazy reviews here by disgruntled customers. But I have only high praise for The Farmers Dog! We have a 15 1/2 year old Chihuahua that has always been a very picky eater. We tried everything from *****, **** *******, etc. Even ***** ***. He would basically starve himself to the point he would finally eat. He has few teeth left at this point so we knew we wanted something soft and easy for him to eat. It is absolutely incredible how he has turned around. He knows when he get's to eat and nudges his bowl when he is ready if we haven't fed him in time. He has more energy, his joints seem to be doing better and he's so much more playful now. He can get down the three steps to the back yard without stumbling as well! He's put a little weight on, which is a good thing for him. We have found the perfect food for him and recommend it to anyone looking for a well balanced, real food for their dogs. The nay ******, well, I don't know what to say. But for our ****** it has been a true blessing. We have been getting it for a little over a month now and our next shipment will have treats, so I am excited to see what he thinks of those.The Farmer's Dog, Inc.
