1 starOrder xxxxx1602- ordered a diamond necklace from a Platinum Seller. Necklace was described as VS clarity, D-F color. Recd the necklace, but right after I recd the necklace seller sent me a note saying the piece was actually G/H color and offered a discount of $2k, but the stones were definitely VS. I told the seller this was not acceptable based on value delta. After this I immediately went to a professional appraiser. The seller came back with a $7k discount. The appraiser said only 1 stone was VS, but it was J color. The rest of the stones were SI clarity and most were I color. Obviously not as advertised. I contacted the seller. Told her my findings. She authorized the return the same day as I received the necklace. I approved the shipping quote the next day (10/1). I have had 6 chats with the customer service ***** They keep assuring me the shipping team is going to reach, email a label. Nothing, they dont even meet their own timelines. The last 2 chats have assured me they were alerting the shipping team and someone would be in touch. Then I was told a pick up has been scheduled between 11am-2pm for 10/6. ****** me this: How can you schedule a pick up for a courier without a shipping label? Anyway, Im leaving the country on 10/7. I have made this clear to the customer service. After all of the horror stories Ive read here and on ******, Im concerned about this situation not getting resolved without getting my attorney involved. I am basically writing this as a warning and a chronology of my experience. The customer service after the sale is abysmal. This was an EXPENSIVE piece and not as advertised. Also notice, most of their responses are automated on other sites. That is why I came to the BBB. I hope this gets resolved.1stDibs.com, Inc.

1 star1rst Dibs is an upscale site selling used high end merchandise. i ordered a ring and the stone did not look at all like what was shown in advertisment. The color was entirely different , their was practically no lustre.I communicated with the seller , they refused to take it back even though they agreed to in their description ...their excuse , they altered the band width.I contacted customer service and sent them multiple photos , they continued to ask for more. * They have an absolute money back guarantee as part of their promotion . They clearly did not want to refund me .i will not deal with them in the future . They do not do what they say.1stDibs.com, Inc.

1 starCaveat Emptor, ***************************** proudly features 'The 1st.Dibs Promise' on their website "We're committed to your satisfaction and peace of mind with every purchase."Furthermore "expertly vetted sellers/ Buyer Protection/ Price Match Guarantee".Their date of shipping and delivery window is not to be trusted. My items arrived nine days after their "window". I contacted them several times to inform them that the items had not even been shipped and reminded them that they promised a money back guarantee if the items didn't arrive within 7 days of contacting them. Mine arrived 9 days after that. No response except to tell me that they understood my frustration and to contact the seller.Finally, I was contacted by the shipper. Last night my items arrived and by the time the crew had left I realized that the items were not a fit for my home. I went to the 1st. **** website and discovered that some items that they sell can be declared unreturnable by the seller. I did not imagine, based on the 1st.Dibs Promise, that this would happen to me because I certainly was not ************ morning light, I was able to see that the cushions on the items were defective, felt uncomfortable, and that the upholstery was cheaply done so I requested a return based on size. The seller responded in the negative, reminding me that the dimensions were clearly written on the website ad. I appealed to the seller but heard nothing more.Bottom Line: Inspect each item immediately, (I didn't), when it arrives and refuse delivery should this happen to you.Underlined Bottom Line: Deal with a reputable business. They sell FAKE *******! Their Authenticity Guarantee is LIE!
I recently purchased a piece of ******* earrings from a seller on 1stDibs that was advertised as authentic. After receiving the item after paying 2500 US dollars, I had serious doubts about its authenticity. I sent them to a reputable online authenticator, who confirmed that they were indeed fake.
I was relieved to know that 1stDibs offers a one-year authenticity guarantee, so I promptly submitted my evidence, hoping for a straightforward resolution. Unfortunately, the response from 1stDibs was disappointing. They claimed they couldn’t see any proof that the item was not authentic, leaving me feeling frustrated and unheard.
While I appreciate the platform’s selection and user interface, my experience has raised concerns about the reliability of their authenticity claims. It’s disheartening to think that buyers may not be fully protected, despite their promises. They asked me to submit a document that proves it is fake and I did and all the pictures but they said the authenticity document is not from a source affiliated with *******. They try so hard not give me a refund. Whatever you do they request, they would say against you.
I urge potential buyers to do thorough research and proceed with caution when purchasing jewelry through 1stDibs.
In the end, I’m left with a piece that I can’t wear and a bitter taste from the lack of support. I hope my experience can help others avoid similar issues in the future.1stDibs.com, Inc.

1 starI am a first time customer to this company *******, and it was the worst experience Ive experienced. I purchased a JADE ring from the seller FYORO with 14 karat gold detailing and the gold came off after one use and cut my other finger nearest! The seller is FYORO and they are allowed to sell on the platform 1STDIBS! BUYER BEWARE!!!! The gold is glued on to the ring and came off after one use, seller agreed to a return after the photos provided and then waited for the return to arrive and lied and said that I destroyed the ring and either I get the ring sent back as is or I pay $100 for repair and I get the difference in the refund. 1ST DIBBS sided with the seller! The seller stated to me via email that the ring is glued and that it may contract due to weather conditions. This ring has NO details about it being glued on or that the gold will contract due to weather conditions in the description details prior to me purchasing it. Also I wouldnt suggest this site because its siding with the seller that sells items that are not detailed in the description on the site, again BUYER BEWARE!! 1ST DIBBS policy supports sellers like this who are allowed to sell jewelry that is cheap, and once the gold raises it can cut the finger close to it. Contacting customer service is useless, they do not respond in timely manner and doesnt want to callback either, they expect all details via email, when I mentioned that I have requested several times for someone to contact me via phone I was told that they are in a different time zone but I was receiving emails at 8am est but a phone call for clarification and so they can fully understand was complicated and they insist on emails. I can honestly say this was a complete scam and waste of money!!! Now I have to pay for something I dont own, didnt enjoy and was not responsible for the gold lifting!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Honestly, these online jewelers are not worth the money or your time, again stay away from 1STDIBS!1stDibs.com, Inc.

1 starI purchased a ring that seller stated was in pristine condition to include 14k markings. When I received the ring the stone was loose and there was no markings of carat weight for the stone or stamping of any kind. I opened a claim and sent pictures and videos. A rep responded back stating there is a "little" bit of a marking that rubbed off and did not address the loose stone you can clearly hear and see in the video. I asked again, still no response. Another rep responded saying they would take the ring back and I wouldn't have to pay $500 to return and they would take care of it. I have replied several times and no one has gotten back to me. I advise you not to purchase jewelry on 1stdibs, from ******* Diamonds, or from Salim (***) *******.I bought a diamond engagement ring containing a yellow and white heart-shaped diamond from ******* Diamonds on 1stdibs for approximately $12000. On the *first day* the yellow diamond fell out! My fiancee and I were unable to locate it even after looking through the kitchen trash and disassembling the pipes under the sink.I contacted ***, who sold me the ring. I expected he would own up to his mistake and fix the ring for free or offer me a refund. Nope! *** tried to evade responsibility by claiming that we had damaged the ring! 1stdibs customer support also said they could do nothing to help me, as I had waited 2 months to propose and didn't contact them within 7 days of delivery. Keep in mind, the ring was sitting inside the box in which it was shipped for those two months.My local jeweler confirmed that the gold lip over the yellow diamond was 0.5 mm when it should have been at least 1 mm. In other words, *** made and sold a faulty ring. I wrote a bad review for ******* Diamonds on 1stdibs and 1stdibs deleted my review without notification! In case anyone is interested, I took a photograph of the review as evidence, because I suspected this could happen.If you want to spend your engagement night rummaging through the trash and the pipes under the sink, then go with ******* Diamonds on 1stdibs. 1 starAtrocious service verging on fraud, likely taking advantage of high seller fees to refuse refunds for clearly misrepresented items. Forced to chargeback on credit card--first time in my life. Absolutely do not order from 1stdibs. If you've already done so, initiate a credit card chargeback at the first sign of an issue.
