Im 100% dissatisfied with my move, I was overcharged and not reimbursed for a broken item. I told my sales representative initially that my building closed at 4 pm for moves. They assured me a 1-4 pm time frame would work. Then they tried to show up on the scheduled day AT 4 PM but that was not allowed by either building. I had to be rescheduled for the next morning at 9 am and they did not show up at that time. They showed up at 10 am, this caused me a lot of distress as I had all of my belongings packed to be moved the day before. The move took a very long time. This was just a studio apartment moving from one building to another building right next door. They arrived at 10 AM and did not get finished until 3 PM. At one point they were having trouble getting a piece of furniture through the door and they asked me how the piece of furniture got in the apartment. This was a studio apartment with one entry door. When the movers arrived that morning, I told them that that piece of furniture was oversized but if compressed with the packing wrap it would easily fit through the door. When they were having trouble and I went over there to direct them, they wrapped the furniture in a blanket, then the plastic wrap which made it even bigger. They disappeared for about an hour, Im assuming they were taking lunch but they did not communicate anything to me. I was charged $605, my initial quote was $480. To this date, I have not been given any documentation regarding what the overage was. My furniture was held hostage until I paid this amount I was assured I would receive an email with the breakdown of the additional charges which I have not received. I have a $500 mirror purchased 6 months ago that was broken, the pieces are missing and it cannot be repaired. I had to file a claim for this and they offered me $12 and then $50 for this damage.
