CrowdTap is an online survey website that allows people to answer surveys and earn points which they can then redeem for money for gift cards. I had recently been answering surveys without issue and got to the point where I saved up enough points for a $50 Amazon gift cards. I attempted to log in one day to redeem my points for the gift card to find out my account had been suspended. I emailed customer support to figure out why and get it resolved and they stated I violated their Terms of Service. I read through their Terms of Service and I am not a bot nor did I answer with spam responses. I have been a loyal user of this platform for over 7 years with no issue and cashed out multiple times in the past and now when I saved enough points to cash out a large amount gift card they banned me. I have responded several times with customer support and all they do is send me the same response which is the Terms of Service and recently stated they cannot give me further details about my account or the situation. I feel I am at the point where they do not respond/ignore my emails. It is very unprofessional that I cannot redeem the points I have sitting in my account as they got my answers for all those surveys and took my money by blocking my account.

I was a member of this survey-taking community for years and regularly got paid a token amount for spending a few minutes every day providing my opinions. But one day, just after I'd accumulated $50 and was ready to cash out, my account was randomly banned without cause and without providing a reason. After inquiring about my issue, they told me to eat chalk and said that they weren't required to provide (or even have) a reason per their Terms of Service.I was always very meticulous about my survey answers and put forth a great deal of effort to be honest and comprehensive. But next time I join a survey site, maybe I'll just rush through as fast as I can without a care and get what little money I can because what's the point when 90% of this industry is full of scumbags and I won't be compensated anyway?

I am submitting this complaint regarding the unfair suspension and subsequent deactivation of my account with **********************, as well as their failure to deliver rewards that I rightfully earned through their platform.I accumulated $150 worth of points by participating in a live interview session organized by Crowdtap. Additionally, on April 28, 2025, I redeemed another $20 worth of points through the app for a ********* gift card. As of May 2, 2025, the $20 reward had not been delivered, despite Crowdtap advertising a shorter reward fulfillment timeframe. On that same day, I contacted Crowdtap to inquire about the status of the missing reward.Instead of receiving assistance, my account was abruptly suspended with the explanation that I had provided low quality answers to past surveys. I found this highly concerning and unjustified. I then emailed Crowdtap to dispute the suspension and was directed by a representative to submit an appeal through their in-app AI support system. After submitting the appeal, I was informed that a decision would be made within 48 hours. After waiting nearly a week and a half without any response, I followed up again with a Crowdtap advocate named *******, who then informed me that my account was now deactivatednot just suspended. This sequence of events is extremely troubling. My concern is that if I were truly providing low quality answers, as claimed, it would not make sense for Crowdtap to have selected me multiple times (45 occasions) to participate in live interviews with their clients. If my input was considered unreliable or inconsistent, I should not have been invited repeatedly to represent their platform in those sessions. This contradiction calls into question the validity of their reasoning for suspending and ultimately deactivating my account.I completed all tasks honestly, diligently, and in full compliance with Crowdtaps guidelines. I am simply asking that the company honor the rewards I earned in good faith.

On May 2, 2025, I received a notification stating that my account had been suspended due to "low-quality answers" and that I would be unable to access it until the issue was resolved. As an educator, I take great care in the quality and accuracy of my responses, and I strongly believe this suspension was made in error.I immediately appealed the decision using the option provided by your automated system. However, I was later informed that my account has now been deactivated for the same reason, again citing "low-quality answers." This has been both confusing and frustrating, as I have not been given a clear path to resolve the issue or to have my account fairly reviewed. What is particularly concerning is that on the same exact day, two of my relativeswho also use their platformhad their accounts suspended for the same stated reason. Coincidentally, all three of us had submitted requests for $20 ********* gift cards shortly before the suspensions. We followed the stated 23 business day processing timeframe (excluding the weekend), but when the gift cards were not delivered as expected, we reached out to inquire about the delay. Soon after, all three of our accounts were suspended. This timing raises serious questions about the justification for our account deactivations. I am respectfully requesting a thorough review of this matter and a clear explanation of the specific reasons behind these actions. I would also appreciate guidance on how we can resolve this issue and regain access to our accounts.*Currently awaiting $20.00 ********* Giftcard *Account has 900 plus credits

Unfortunately, Crowdtap is a scam. I started using it after reading about it on reddit and wanting to make extra pocket change. I used to do in-person consumer panels, so it seemed like a promising online alternative. I recently started using it with a bit more frequency, always providing thoughtful and considered responses. I take pride in my work. I had never cashed out any points into a gift card, hoping to get to a larger sum. Yesterday, I found they had abruptly disabled my account without explanation. I assume this is their model: they accrue and sell marketing information and cancel accounts of those they're hoping not to compensate. No specifics were given as to "why" my account was disabled (they don't exist). Crowdtap needs to reimburse me for the work I've done thus far. If I don't receive a response within a few days, I'll be reaching out to journalists and contacting a lawyer as this is predatory business practice.

I have been a long-time user of ********************** for years. You take surveys, share feedback and earn points that you can redeem for gift cards. Many of these surveys take time and effort. I recently tried to redeem for a gift card, logged in a couple days later and found my account was banned for community violations. I asked for clarification, as I've been a member for years and always abide by their guidelines. No answer. It sounds like they're doing it to a lot of people, stealing our time and responses and banning our accounts so they don't have to pay out.

This website/ app offers compensation for the user to take surveys. I accumulated ***** points which gave me access to the reward of $25 via ******. I accumulated the points within 48 hours of signing up for the site and making an account. I spent several hours working towards the goal and not even an hour after I requested to "cash in" my account was suspended and I was not given a reason as to why. Any attempted communications haven't been responded to. I seriously spent HOURS on this goal. Now it feels like they got hours and hours of free labor out of me.Also....there seems to be a point where you can actually run out of surveys to take. The website/app states to you that you will have to come back later for more. I only reached that "wall" once and I came back a little later and it continued to give me more surveys.I was very thoughtful with my responses and did not "rush" through answering any questions. I sort of feel like I was used/robbed a little. After reviewing some forums online about this business... it seems like this "randomly" happens to people using the service. Only randomly A LOT I just want what is owed to me due to all the time and effort I spent making THEM money for their clients via surveying people for probably *******% of a cent on the dollar.

Theft of services upon completion of surveys taken, in which the company got paid, but compensation to be awarded was not given and account was suspended for what was deemed violation of community standards (I thoroughly searched ALL of their legal requisites and guidelines; none were violated). After extensive research (*********** ******* etc), this company has TONS of records of people experiencing the same thing. This company is literally robbing people of their time, labor, and earned awards. It almost leads one to seek legal reparations for this, under federal statutes that protect independent contractors from this type of theft. They need to stop doing this to all these people.

I have used Crowdtap for a few months and was accruing points towards a gift card. I took a break for a few days and came back to my account being suspended. The claim is that I violated the terms and conditions of Crowdtap but they could not elaborate any further on what terms I violated. I have been trying to appeal the suspension but all I have gotten was something to the effect of "We are truly sorry about this..." and then proceed to not provide any information or solutions about why the suspension happened.Because of the nature of Crowdtap's business, they sell participant's personal information. But I have not received the compensation that they promised, so I believe that they just taken my information and cut me off from the platform before they had to pay out. This is a common issue amongst people who use Crowdtap. There are dozens of BBB complaints filed and they have done nothing to remedy them.
