Titan Global Capital Management, Inc sent me an incorrect 1099 form for 2024 which overstated the dividend amount. I have tried to contact the company to correct the issue but unable to reach their customer service team. The company has no public phone number for customers. In additions, my account was closed last year in October and I requested to have the remaining balance of $33 transfer to my account which they haven't done.Business Response

I entrusted this company to provide financial services whereby they would provide recommendations and management. Titan assured me on numerous occasions that I would be able to have access to my funds when needed and or could close my account whenever I wanted. But I have been scammed by this company. They do not provide current financials, do have anyone that I can engage with as there a no dedicated personnel that can assist me. When I have gone to withdraw my funds they only give me a portion at a time and this has been going for a year and a half. When an account is positive but they do not want to release my funds they argue liquidity, which translates to theft and deception because they should have the funds on my statement available to me. The funds they claim they manage is being managed by an outsourced company and that company states that Titan has to authorize my request. I've been going around in circles with this company.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We take matters like these very seriously, and I want to clarify a few important points about your account and our investment process. As our team mentioned to you via chat; interval funds are closed-end funds, meaning that shares are not traded actively on the secondary market like open-end mutual funds. Instead, the funds managers will offer once per quarter to repurchase a certain percentage of outstanding shares from their clients. Please note that it is always possible that you may receive only a portion or none of your request, which may further delay your account closure. There is no way for us to bypass this as this is a natural limitation when it comes to investments in interval funds.
When investing in an interval fund, we conduct a thorough suitability analysis to ensure the investment aligns with your financial goals and risk tolerance. The nature of these funds involves certain liquidity restrictions, which were reviewed with you at the time of investment. This means that while there may be periods where funds are not immediately accessible, they are managed with the goal of long-term growth, and we work to ensure that all nuances of the funds structure were fully communicated to you beforehand. This information is disclosed throughout the interval fund investment process and we urge you to take the time to fully read when making an investment to ensure you comprehend the nuances of the interval fund and it's limited liquidity.
We are committed to transparency and customer satisfaction, and I sincerely apologize if communication or support hasnt met your expectations. I would like to assure you that your request is being handled in line with the policies of both Titan and the outsourced management firm.
In regards to support, we see our team has both chatted you back and emailed you. Please ensure you are checking your spam/junk folder for an email from ********************************** in case our correspondence is being marked as spam. We have attached a PDF of this correspondence for your review.
Again, we value your trust, and we are committed to resolving this while working within the framework of the interval fund you are invested in.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: it has been nearly 2 years since I have attempted to close this account. There was only one person that communicated with me and via zoom initially that stated I could take my funds out at any time. When I did request to withdraw my funds I reached resistance. The communication is never with an actual representative but is a common boiler plate response and or form of communication. Most communication is in a chat and or via email are standard responses (bots) and no one can be reached via telephone. An actual response happens hours after an initial attempt in a chat if not into the next day by email and the communication is just standard. In my opinion there seems to be minimal staff and or none at all and or part of the scam to give the appearance that people are working when they are not. No risk tolerance was every disclosed to me and you communicating that it was is dishonest. Titan is the middle man for who is actually holding the funds, the account manager on the other end stated that the funds can be withdrawn but has to be approved by Titan. Where are the funds? If I gave titan $20k those are liquid, where are the funds and why have they not been returned to me? Has titan lent out shares or used the funds for another undisclosed purpose? Those are the only reasons why the funds are not available. This is a final demand, the only way to settle this is to pay me what remains in full ASAP. Every day I do not get my funds I will request interest, waiting nearly 2 years to close my account is not appropriate. You people are pure scam artist and hope your fait is in line with ******.[Your Answer Here]
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
******* ******

Hello,
We understand your frustration, and truly regret that you've had such a difficult experience. However, I want to clarify again that since this is an interval fund, the process of withdrawing funds is completely out of our control. These types of funds have specific withdrawal windows and restrictions in place, and we are bound by those rules.
While its unfortunate that the communication has not been ideal, I assure you that Titan is not holding the funds with the intention of denying access. There is no wrongdoing, but rather a delay in processing due to the nature of how these funds work. As mentioned, you were provided with disclosures when investing into this fund and by clicking "I confirm" you agreed to the limited liquidity of the fund. We've included screenshots of what this flow looks like in the experience when investing. It is always imperative to ensure you fully comprehend the nuances of any strategy or fund when investing.
I know this situation is frustrating, but please know that the funds are not being used for any other purpose; they are simply not yet available for withdrawal outside of the specified intervals.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay, and I assure you we are working within the parameters we are given to get your funds to you as soon as possible. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our team, and we will do our best to assist you within the constraints of this process.Initial Complaint

I deposited over $100,000 with Titan between October 11th - 17th 2023. I have tried contacting support for the past two weeks. Each agent says there was a problem with my linked savings account so I ******** and re-uploaded my original statement showing the deposits from the same account. Then I'm told the withdrawals will be processed. A day later I get a cancellation of my withdrawal and message saying due to AML regulations I must wait 60 days because I'm requesting a withdrawal to a different account. I have sent multiple emails, had multiple chats, and there is no one to talk to on the phone. I just keep getting the run around. Warning to anyone considering using Titan, there is no support and they refuse to lift the incorrect (due to their own system failure) block on withdrawing funds from my account. At this point, I'm skeptical they'll return the money at all considering how they have been acting. Next step is I'm going to start talking with attorneys. Wanted others to know if you deposit money, you may not get it out when you expect to.Business Response

Client's withdrawal triggered an AML hold pending additional information. The client has provided the necessary information, and his withdrawal is now processing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and are remaining vigilant in keeping our client accounts safe from fraud.
