Way back when started paying $45 per month - now up to $200 and growing each month, not year! I get letters each month telling me to raise my monthly deduction, but it is always the incorrect amount. When calling, have to answer 5-6 questions, then they can't find your policy, so must repeat it all over again. They do not do what is suggested in letters, cannot e-mail you forms, you always have to return 4 pages of same forms oer and over again. On line, my policy shows up, yet cannot get any pertinent information or request forms. Backward company, no one knows what they are doing! Suggestion from them is to just keep sending in more and more money each month, no matter what the "monthly premium requirement" is! Won't be able to afford it much longer and will lose every ***** I put in and spouse will have nothing! It's a crime - absolute THEFT. So sorry we every dealt with them.

That cartoon beagle that was beloved by children of all ages Snoopy --- must be severely regretting that his image was once used to promote Metroplitan Life Insurance Company. From what research I have done, Met Life is now managed by a holding company. In July of this year, 2025, I received a phone call from their agent. The agent or representative said my loan application had been approved and that someone would call me later with a ***** tracking number when my check was actually being sent out. No return call, but I received a paper confirmation my mail of the loan approval effective July 7th. I have phoned several times to little effect never getting the check nor a tracking number. Last week the representative said it was not Metlife's responsibility to deliver the check after it was mailed. I pressed the agent to get him to say the check was mailed from **** on July 7. He suggested I wait till the 25thto see if the mail would deliver it. I phoned Monday the 28thto see what the next agent might suggest. I was on hold several minutes. He came back on the line and said they would look into the matter and I should wait 7 to 10 business days to hear from them.

It has taken over a month to process a short term disability claim in which I have already returned to work. There has been no communication from the case worker in over a week. The last call time I heard from her, she "verified" dates that have already been clarified a dozen times and exist on multiple submitted documents. After calling customer support today, I was told my only options at this point are to just continue waiting until something happens or someone calls me. Absolutely worthless.

My father has congestive heart failure, he work through the city of *********, was a first class electrician, retire in 1998, he is trying to change his beneficiary to me, his daughter since I have power of attorney over him. They received the paperwork on the 3rd of July since then instead of changing his beneficiary they have listed him as deceased twice this month so they don't have to change the beneficiary and he is still alive. They claim they don't need a death certificate. They tell me employee health benefit told them he deceased but I doubt that since they paid him his pension.

Absolute worst website I have ever used. I have been trying to get my username for the last 2+ hours. They have not sent an email to reset it. The ** is garbage. Avoid at all costs if necessary.

The customer service team for ********************** is terrible. They are overseas. They constantly disconnect calls. It is impossible to connect with a representative from the **. I have called multiple times-been disconnected. I asked multiple time for them to process a request and they give me a run around. I am so tired of this. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Why is your customer service call center overseas! Why is it so impossible to get any information or speak to someone in the **. This company makes you wait for mailed letters that take forever to be delivered. Why aren't letters posted online as well? This is beyond horrible! ******** customer service.

I lost my husband in a fatal motorcycle accident in ****************** in October 2024. I did not know I had insured him through my job but in November I kept getting the alerts to update my insurance and I clicked to the end as I did not want to make changes, but low and behold I realized that I had accidental death and dismemberment insurance on the entire family, so I called my job to find out next steps. The job filed the claim with MetLife for me and I returned to the Unitied States in February 2025. Upon checking my mail. I did find the letter from MetLife requesting the Death Certificate. I had the original death certificate from the coroner's office. It was a carbon copy paper which listed everything that it was a motorcycle accident, that they did not perform an autopsy or anything and I also contacted people I knew to find out if there was a police investigation because I needed answers so I could have closure on the situation. My husband was a very safe driver and haven't lost his twin brother to a hit & run 9 years previously he was always cautious of his surroundings. But no one investigated, to them it was an accident, that's life is what I was told to be exact. Needless to say I still haven't gotten closure.I sent MetLife the photo of the certificate I had and they told me they sent it out for translation. Which was fine it took two months to translate a document with check boxes but okay. That was in February, in April when I inquired for an update. They could not translate it so they want the original. Obviously the copy I have is the only one of it's kind so I will have to return to the ****************** to get a computer generated copy (I have to get help with that because I am not from there). But then they sent me a letter in June 2025 saying they need a copy of the incident report. This was relayed to them when the claim was filed. There is none. So now what? If they don't want the pay the claims, don't sell the insurance.

What a garbage company! I'm suffering through the process of claiming short-term leave for a medical issue. A few highlights:1. No claim agent has contacted me. Their claim communication log claims they telephoned me at, get this, 12:51am and 2:59am. There is no record of either call with my carrier call records.2. They claim to have sent forms to my doctor for them to fill out. There is no record (not even a fake record!) in the claim communication logs of them having done this. I have contacted my doctor, and they have received **********'s extremely apparent that Metlife has no interest in the slightest in making any effort to process this claim.
