On 01/01/2023 Nextmed charged me $99 for initiating a weight loss program with their company. After hearing from a friend that the company was a scam, I attempted to contact them and not move forward with service. I have sent several emails and made several requests for phone calls from them to no avail. On 1/30/2023 they charged my account an additional $138. I have not received any services or support from NextMed nor have I consented to their program.Business Response

I saw an advertisement on a website that offered weight loss advice/medication. After reading the positive reviews on their site I signed up for $99 however after they took my money I was informed I would have to drive two hours to a medical facility for testing. That should've been addressed prior to me paying money. I'm not driving two hours to a medical facility. The advertising on their website is false and this needs to be addressed before anyone else gets scammed. For the record I have contacted them four times now telling them how disappointed I was and that I wanted a refund for their unethical advertisement/ethics and I have not gotten anywhere.Business Response

I signed up for NextMed on 11/23/2022 for their GLP-1 Weight Loss Program. I had lab work done but insurance would not cover the plan. I have asked to cancel a number of times but there is no good way to contact this service except through a general contact request on their website. Also, the 'patient portal' is empty of contnet. When someone replies, they want to sign up for a different plan but I've said no to that, and that NO continues to not be heard. I've tried replying by text with no response. I've tried replying to their email address, it bounces back. I'm being charged 138 a month without any services being provided. I recently tried disputing the charge with my credit card company, they responded pretty quick to that to have the charge re-instated. I don't what else to do.Business Response

I did receive a voicemail and email from a man named ****** who said he was a manager and would be personally handling my account from this point. He told me the business had sent prior authorization for two meds that I had already checked about and were not covered by my insurance. I then realized that I have no way of contacting ******. He has not responded to my email that was sent last night. And he didnt give me a number to contact either. So what am I to do? I understand these things take time but Im also on a deadline to cancel the monthly subscription if thats what is necessary.

I signed up on Jan 2nd and at that time received return emails almost within a hour once I signed up I was told to go get lab work which I did and reported to them on 1/4. Since that time I cannot get responses timely or I get different answers saying its pending approval from my insurance or this last time was told they were behind and just submitted the approval. It has been almost a month and they have told me different stories or just ghost me and dont respond to me at all. I requested a call which I never received. I wouid like to cancel and get a refund. After they received my initial payment they are not interested in following through with their end or communicating with their customers regarding the process .there is no phone number to call either to try and speak with someone. Signed up for a program called GLP-1 Weight Loss Complete Program in which you pay a monthly fee (they lock you in for a year) and provide a service in which you receive a self administered injection of a medication that helps reduce insulin resistance and in turn weight loss. Medication is prescribed by a physician so you have to go for blood work first to see if youre eligible. The first month is $99 as a promotional price and then $188 thereafter. The monthly fee includes lab testing, monthly prescription (cost of medication is additional fee) dr support etc. I paid the initial $99 fee but never heard anything from anyone. I sent an email and finally heard a response saying my labs were being ordered by physician , but I never heard anything after that. I kept sending emails, no response. Finally sent another email to discontinue the program as no service is actually being offered and to refund my $99. Received an email that an account specialist would be contacting me but I never heard anything. Finally sent another email notifying them that I am filing a complaint with the BBB, still havent had a response. Fee was paid on Jan 18, 2023. No response as of today.Business Response

I signed up for NextMed services on Jan 22, 2023. Since then I have received no receipt, no follow up information, I can't call, I have emailed numerous times for information with no response. I have asked for a call back twice, with no call back from Nextmed. I have been charged $323.00 for the program and another $356.58 for labs? Plus when I did go to get my lab work done, I had to pay out of pocket! That is what lead me to suspect a scam. No Lab work results, no message from doctor, just my contact information. I respond to the numerous text messages that say "click the link to get started" I do so and it asks me to sign in to the same portal. I had one actual person contact me a week ago that said she "Understood my frustration" and would cancel my subscription. She asked if I wanted to keep the first months prescription because I had already paid for it. Knowing full well I wasn't getting any kind of refund, I said yes and she said the doctor would send it to ****** pharmacy within ***** hours. That was, like I said, a week ago. I have called ****** and no prescription for me. I even went so far as to call what I thought was a NextMed number and got a nice lady from a different company with the same name who informed me that they get *************************************** trying to get someone to help them. I want a full refund! A payment to ********* ********* for $356.58 and to NEXTMED HEALTH for $323.00 TOTALING $679.58 i HAVE THE CANCELATION EMAIL with all the others.

This program is more expensive than advertised. There is a monthly fee of $138. The medication is almost $600/month after my insurance. I have advised this company that I cannot afford this every month for 12 months. I have asked them to cancel my "subscription" three times. The response was a charge for the next month and the prescribing physician ordering medication for nausea, a side effect for the medication I cannot afford. They are deaf to my request, stonewalling by deflection of my reason for cancellation, and are not responding to my request any longer.Business Response
