Today at 12:43pm I received a call from this number ******************). The person on the line asked if my name was **** ***** and immediately I felt as if it was a scam called. So I responded in a manner that didnt confirm or deny if that is my name. The teller proceeded to tell me that there is an authorization that needs to be cleared by me. They asked if I tried purchasing things from ****** while in *****. I responded no. They told me that someone stole my social security number and they wont accept the charge & will close down the account. This person then told me their name was **** *******, 671 is their extension id, phone number is **********. Shortly after they asked me to give them my other credit card information so they can monitor my account. I found that odd and declined. They tried pressuring me into giving my information and after declined again, they abruptly ended the call. I believe this phone call was a fail attempt at a scam.

This appears to be a misdirected complaint not intended for our business.  The information listed in the complaint is not of the NYU Federal Credit Union. It looks like the phone number the person was initially contacted from belongs to EQT Federal Credit Union, and the second phone number listed is a **** phone number.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

NYU Federal Credit Union has the worst customer service in the business. In fact, they had none. Unprofessional and ineffective customer service team that had little visibility on their own products, i.e. debit cards. This institution is devious with regards to "hidden" fees and they slap customers with fees unbeknownst to them. It's a disgrace and by carrying *** they do a disservice to the *********************
