I was working at a daycare and they said I needed a *** I had made the first payment and then went to work they said I didnt need this. I tried to tell these idiots that I had wanted to cancel but no was able to get on the phone. It was all done by email. So I emailed there team and told them I didn't need the class and wanted a refund. The would give some crazy messages but would never give me direct yes or no. I emailed the teacher and she would send to the email team. I told them that again I no longer needed this class and that my job was helping t me.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this client. The student completed the online application, paid her registration and agreed to terms. The terms are listed here at **********************. As agreed upon, she picked the payment plan option and registration is non-refundable and she is responsible for the tuition in full if she completes the class or not. She was emailed back stating this in email. All refund requests are done in writing so there is documentation for the student and the business. She is unhappy with the answer and not carefully reading the terms listed on the application and also seen at **********************. It is disappointing that she is calling us names as well in her BBB submission. We would love to assist her with course completion if she is interested in doing so. She is ineligible for a refund per the terms.Initial Complaint

I was told by my new employer that I had to be enrolled in this *** course to work there. I needed the job so I signed up not realizing that I had to pay the full tuition if I did not complete the course. It was set up on monthly payments so I thought it was pay as you go. I could not complete the course with the work load and have since left the job. They have added exorbitant fees (ex. $70 late fee for each month!) and now interest. I have tried to resolve this by offering them a few hundred dollars that I can afford. I even offered to pay the full original tuition amount, removing additional fees but they keep declining my offer and will only accept the full amount including ALL fees added. I feel this is a very predatory company! Absolutely not willing to accept my payment without the fees added. This company is a rip off! They have almost doubled the amount I have to pay with their unfair fees! They kept telling me to call back each month and see if I can make a lower payment. In the meantime, the balance keeps getting higher each time I call them! Now the representative just said they will NEVER take off the fees! Who does this?!Business Response

Thank you for the chance to respond. The student agreed to the terms when joining at www.cdaclass.org. The terms are clearly shown here at www.cdaclass.org/terms. Yes there is a late fee of late payment. The student has been placed in collections for the full amount because we have been trying to collect this debt for over 365 days. The account is now with an outside collection agency. She should call the number on the letter from the collection agency to set up a payment plan. They are eager to assist her. Additionally, as a courtesy, if she completes paying off the debt we will allow her to take the entire class again since she didn't finish and only have to pay a $50 re-registration fee. No other tuition would be do allowing her a whole 365 days more to complete the class and meet her initial goal of CDA obtainment.Initial Complaint

I have been studying to get my *** certification via online and had 365 days to complete. The deadline for completion was 1/24/25. I had reached out to the instructor asking what my options were in the event I wasnt able to complete by that date. She advised to extend my time by 90 days for $400 2 days prior to my deadline. I had let her know that I was nearly complete and did not need 90 days to finish the 2 assignments left. On 1/22/25, I had extended as she advised Within those 2 days, I completed all the coursework within the (365) days deadline- so the extension was not needed. I reached back out to my instructor to let her know all coursework had been completed and the 90 day extension was not needed nor used. She advised me to reach out to the refund committee. I explained my case stating no additional time was used or needed- no services were rendered. They responded referencing a portion of their payment policy on the website stating:First, review the enrollment terms at www.cdaclass.org/terms. To proceed with a cancellation or refund, email ***************************** Payment plan students must fulfill all tuition payments upon withdrawal. Payment Plan students are not eligible for a refund. Pay-in-full students can withdraw within 48 hours of enrollment; afterward, they're also responsible for tuition payments. If eligible (pay-in-full student within 48 hours), email your first name, last name, enrollment date, reason for withdrawal, and payment plan status. Allow 14 business days for the refund committee's response. Their decisions are final and communicated via formal written email. Instructors do not determine eligibility; it's based on your signed terms. (Terms agreement attached). The issue with this response is that I was not looking for a refund for any tuition or payment due. It was the $400.00 extension fee- which does not state anywhere in the terms agreement.Customer Answer

Since the student paid the non-refundable extension fee, she is not eligible for a refund. We congratulate her on her recent completion of coursework and wish her the best on the final assessment testing.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:[Your Answer Here]
The contract does not indicate anywhere in regards to a non refundable extension fee. In fact, there is nothing in the contract that even states terms/agreement about the extension fee (contract attached)
Furthermore, I mentioned to the instructor that I did not need the extension fee and she advised me to reach out to the ***************** making me believe that all I had to do was to email and a refund would be given.
Lastly, if I was given this 90 day extension, then I should have the full 90 days to have access to my account- but they have shut down all of my access to my account- stating that my account, username and password does not exist (screen shot attached).
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
***** ****

I enrolled in the program January 17, 2024. When I enrolled in the program I was not aware of all of the additional fees that were to be assessed in order to complete the program. When I signed off on the agreement it was my understanding that all of the materials would be provided and I would be liable for the cost if I started the program (i.e. started course work). I would not have enrolled if it was clearly stated that the cost were going to be billed to me as long as I enrolled and it didn't matter if I completed any work or not. Nor would I have enrolled if it was clearly stated that I would be forced to join a fictitious national membership, which in turn is actually the same company. I have reached out to the company in hopes of refund, but more concerned about owing a company that I do not want to take courses with due to the deceit. Since this company is adamant about not giving me a refund, I would like for the amount that would be owed to them not billed since I have no intention on pursuing any certifications from them.Business Response

Additionally, you can revisit the terms agreed upon during the application process at ************************
We remain dedicated to supporting the student in achieving her original goal of obtaining national CDA certification, which entails the successful completion of the 120-hour class she initially enrolled in, as per the agreed-upon terms.
We look forward to the students continued participation in our program and are available to provide any further clarification or assistance required.Initial Complaint

I enrolled in the *** program with ************* on September 26th. Very soon after enrolling, I fell into an unpredicted housing situation, and I could not afford to follow with the payment plan. I reached out to the instructor via email to request unenrollment and the stop of further payments due to my situation. She redirected me to the "refund committee". After emailing them the same thing I emailed her, they eventually got back to me and told me that I entered the agreement and that I have to continue with payments anyway. I made it very clear that I did not want a refund for what I already paid ($50 application fee and $170 materials) . I just wanted them to unenroll me and stop payments. Now I am locked into this very shady business that I don't even want further services from.Business Response

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to this feedback. The students enrolled in our payment plan program, and the terms are listed here at **********************. As clearly stated in the terms, you can discontinue coursework, but you were still responsible for all tuition payments in full. Our coursework is self paced, and students are afforded one year to complete 120 hours of training. We are hopeful the client will continue her coursework to attain her initial goal of receiving the ************************** Associate credential.Initial Complaint

************ deducted $460 from my bank account I have never taken a class there or enrolled in their program. I called several times to get a solution but the secretary says no one is available to speak to. I have emailed the issue as instructed by the secretary more than once and they respond wanting my start date of class and information about my enrollment, which I dont have because I have never taken a class there. I have reached out to every available contact and no one is willing to even talk to me let alone refund my money. No manager on site absolutely no one but a secretary answering the phone that has no information about anything.Business Response

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention and allowing us time to respond. The student completed our online application and picked the payment plan option on Nov 16 2022. Here are the terms she agreed to with this online application: **********************. When the student picks the payment plan option they are responsible for making all tuition payments for the class; regardless if they complete/participant in the class. We are hopeful this student will consider completing her original goal of ************************** Associate (CDA) obtainment.

After carefully reading the other complaints regarding the CDAcourse website, its a shame they have scammed us so badly. I was never interested in a refund until I NEVER received materials I ordered, and finding out the course is not credited in my state, as claimed. I plan on taking legal action if this is not resolved. I have emailed *******, only to ever receive an automated message, or nothing at all.Over ***** of my hard earned money as given to people in hopes of furthering my education, only to be scammed and never receive what was supposed to be given to me.Business Response
