On May 21, 2024 Weiss Auctions in ****************** held a public auction with internet and live bidding. As you look thru the 506 Lots lots in this auction you are looking at thumbnail pictures and titles. Lots are consecutively numbered 1 thru 506. I came across Lot 322 the Title of the lot was (2) Presidential Christmas Card Prints Pictured is a Christmas card from ****** B ******* and ****************************. If you were to click on the lot - there are five pictures, the first three are of the ******* card, the third of these shows a Christmas card From 1963, signed by ************************* and ***********************************. It is almost like The ******* card is buried and pompously hidden among the 506 lots and thumbnails, so as not to draw attention. The lot has an Estimate of $100-$200. I was bidding on this lot, when it was suddenly closed at $75 while there was still active and timely bidding going on. I immediately called the auction house to have the bid reopened, I spoke with one of the owners, she was ****, abrupt, rude and argumentative, insisting that my bid came in too late. if you look at the bid report, you will conclude that this is not true. The owners of this auction house insist that this was proper and the fault was mine. At best it is just incompetent, at worst it is deceptive. By quickly closing this lot, they cheated me out of owning this historic card and worst of all they cheated the consigner out of the just payment that they should have received for their items.BidderBid TypeBid Date/TimeAmountStatus e***mAbsentee5/21/2024, 11:35:12 AM$50Accepted my left bid 9 sec FloorFloor5/21/2024, 11:35:21 AM$55Accepted. 4 sec e***mLive5/21/2024, 11:35:25 AM$60Accepted. 6 sec FloorFloor5/21/2024, 11:35:31 AM$65Accepted. 3 sec e***mLive5/21/2024, 11:35:34 AM$70Accepted. 7 sec FloorFloor5/21/2024, 11:35:41 AM$75Winner. 4 sec FloorFloor5/21/2024, 11:35:45 AM$80Cancelled 4 sec e***mLive5/21/2024, 11:35:45 AM$85Cancelled.
