  Sometime the end of Jan and early Feb while we were away Jon’s tree service was cutting trees on a property adjacent to ours (******* *********. Their equipment slid on ice and demolished 3 approx 12’ arborvitae trees on our property.
  We did not notice the damage until Feb 4th. When we could not reach the Cemetary managers, we called PA state police and filed a complaint for destruction of property
  After Cemetary manager returned my call we discovered who was responsible and that they had assured her that the would replace the missing trees.
  
  On 2/26 I called Jon’s tree service to confirm they will replace and with comparable size
  
  On 4/14 I left message for owner to return my call. He returned my call that evening He told me he had 6’ trees lined up as replacements. I told him that was not acceptable and he should come out and measure trees on either side of the destroyed trees to be sure
  
  Also I informed him that my husband and I had located 3 10’ trees at a local greenhouse and they would remove stumps, plant and guarantee for one yr At a cost of 3k.
  
  That was the last actual conversation I had with him. I have called 5 times since and left messages with office person an on a recorder with no response from him
  
  We simply want 3 trees of approx same size as those destroyed by his company, replaced in this growing season

  Hello, the trees were in the right away and was involved in a vehicular crash due to ice formed. The state had to shut down Shumway hill rd so they used the connecting road (where the trees are located) as a bypass. We are unsure if the damage was from our crew or from another person/company. Technically the responsibility of the trees would fall onto the state, town or even the land owner. We however tried to make it right with the homeowner by offering to put in new trees that are the same type of tree close in size but she was not happy with what we had to offer and wanted us to pay another company to place bigger and more expensive trees. We have tried to work with her but she is very direct in wanting more money than what the damage caused. An as I said we are unsure that our company had made the damage. We just wanted to help and make the situation better for her.
