I made an appointment to endorse a gift certificate that I received from my deceased mother last year to have an active therapy release treatment at this establishment. The business never asked to see the gift certificate (attached) and when they called me after I left, they said they did not recognize the gift certificate number I provided. Then, they insisted on being pain (now twice) for the treatment I had. I gave them my payment information over the phone because I did not want to be billed for it, but they ended up collecting payment for a treatment that my mother already paid for when she purchased the gift certificate for me. In addition to being upset that my mother not being here to have taken care of their mistake herself, she was a loyal customer who had patronized this business in the past.

    Business Response

*** ****** came to our office on Saturday, September 6th 2025 for a 10:30am appointment. She said that she had a gift certificate, but did not present it to the receptionist. She received her treatment by the therapist and then left the building after her treatment without paying or presenting a gift certificate for the service. When the receptionist later called *** ****** and asked her about taking care of the payment for her service *** ****** paid for it over the phone with her credit card. If she would have presented the gift certificate, the credit card payment would not have been needed. Later, *** ****** emailed us a picture of the gift certificate. Although a picture is nice, it must be presented to us in original form to be considered as a viable form of payment. All *** ****** needs to do is to present the original gift certificate to the office to have her credit card charge reversed. This was an unnecessary complaint as the situation would have never occurred if *** ****** just presented her gift certificate while at our office.
