On July 28, 2022 we arrived at the King Hendrik Motel in Lake George, NY. We were booked for a 3night stay and were charged $516 in advance using the website ***********. Upon arrival the grounds of the motel were in complete disrepair and filthy. The entrance to the main office was littered with beer cans and trash. I was greeted at the desk by the motel owner and was charged an additional $60 he called a "*********** fee". When we went to our room the inside was not clean, there were spider webs and insects throughout the room, there was a fould odor in the room. and there were no curtains on the windows and the blindes were broken and missing slats allowing for view into the room. A quick look around the facility made it clear that all the rooms would be similar. We went to the desk to complain and was informed the owner was out and would return in an hour. We made the determination that the motel was not fit, healthy, or safe to stay at and we informed the desk we would be leaving tunring in the key. We were informed that they cannot refund us because we booked through *********** and a refund would have to come from them. On July 28, 2022 at approximatley 1500 hrs I spoke to a Johm V****** A via phone at ***********. I was informed that they do not provide a refund and that the refund needed to come from the King Hendrik Motel. *********** tried to reach the Motel on our behalf via phone and emails only to be ignored by the owner and staff. *********** also informed me that there should be no additional charge in their name when I checked in (the $60 addirional fee I was charged at check in). In short we were there a total of 15 minutes and seek a full refund from this shady and disgusting buisness that igmores phone calls and emails regarding the matter. This motel is unfit to house people and should be condemned.
