I purchased a 10 piece non stick cookware at ***********************. It immediately began chipping although I used plastic utensills and hand washed with soft sponge. Research stated not to use non stick cookware if chipped since you ingesting the chipped material was harmful. I filed a complaint and said there was nothing they could do. I also sent pictures to them. I threw away the cookware. I then recd an email stating that ingestion of the chipped material was not harmful. But I wouldn't have used the cookware anyway. I have recd no renumberation, no credit.Business Response
Date: 04/07/2025
Minor chipping over time will not affect the safety nor functionality of the cookware and therefore is considered normal wear and tear.
This would not be considered a manufacturing defect.
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on purchases made through outside retailers, as we do not have your funds.
My apologies.

Product was a non-stick pan. Product started sting several months ago. I contacted company who said to buy and use their cleaning product - I did, but pan still failed to work. I emailed company they said to buy a Magic Eraser and clean pan. That failed. I tried to get them to honor warranty - they had 2 reasons why it was my fault. Both reasons were just excuses not to honor warranty.Business Response
Date: 04/02/2025
While I understand the frustration, this pan was not cared for according to the care and use instructions and does not qualify for replacement.
My apologies.
We must abide by our warranty.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The company says the pan was not cared for by the customer. The ********************** makes that excuse routinely in order to deny any warranty claim. The pan is defective - they never asked to examine the pan's surface, they just say it was not cared for. They make the warranty denial without inspecting the pan to see the defective device. I want a full refund. HONOR THE WARRANTY rather than make excuses.

I purchased the GreenPan GP5 Vista 5-ply Stainless Steel Ceramic Non Stick 3-piece Fry Pan Set on 1/20/25. I have provided my order ID and photos of the whole pan and the defects. The coating on the ceramic pan had chipped and peeled. There is a 2 year warranty for the coating. I inquired about this warranty and was denied a replacement. The company denied that this was a defect and are unwilling to stand by their warranty.Chipping and peeling is not a natural occurrence on a coated pan. It is a manufactured defect and poor quality control. We bought a green pan, ******** set in December 2024. After less than 3 months of normal use, and following all instructions. 2 of the pans have some pretty major chips in them. We contacted the company and asked to submit a warrenty claim. They responded with the insistence that this is normal and poses no health issues. I do not want me or my children ingesting piece of ceramic coating. They only responded from AI account, and refused to escalate the concerns to a supervisor. This is not acceptable, and they refused to provide third party testing proving it was safe to continue using. I would like to get this resolved.Business Response

This is not acceptable. These pots and pans are not cheap, and no one from his company can provide third party testing showing it is safe to continue use of the damaged items. (It is NOT safe to consume pieces of ceramic, with unknown ingredients.) Not to mention it is no longer non-stick, and bacteria can grow in the chips/holes left behind.
This is an automated response from customer service, just like the email I received. I have requested for this to be escalated to a supervisor, and they have refused.

I followed every direction and warmed the stovecooked at low to medium heat only (which is ridiculous for an expensive pan).hand washed it in warm soapy water and still tarnished and looked awful and worse it would effect cooking. 12 emails back and forth, first they tell me they will replace it or refund it under their warranty then Im given excuses, then Im sent a long email with how to care for my pan? I used it once and I want a refund for both the pot and the pan. Then they send me a email stating they dont have any in stock (not that I want a replacement, wont have the same issue as this one? And apparently hundreds of other peoples pans? l keep asking for a refund & consider a replacement but then they have the nerve to send this: Unfortunately, your replacement may not match your existing set. We apologize, but we cannot accept exchanges once your replacement has been delivered. Once a replacement has been sent, we have fulfilled the warranty. Your replacement pan does not fall under the warrantyThe nerve? Why would I want a pot and pan that arent even the ones I researched/ordered and paid for?? Or even the same color? No I want my money back. The order # is for whatever they are sending me that I do not want and will be returning immediately. Its to replace the pan but theyre havent said anything more about the pot I cant use because it steams up and water drips down the side of it onto my glass cooktop due to a seal issue this was the first email.Business Response

I purchased a pan less than 3 mos ago that is now chipped. This company considers this normal, safe and will not exchange the pan. The worst part is that if they could feel the swollen ceramic, they could tell it will likely continue chipping. They did not suggest I return it for inspection., They say it is safe. It's safe to ingest ceramic? I think not. They hide on the internet and behind AI emails rather than face their customers and problems. I hope this post helps others and discourages others from purchasing these pans.Business Response

This company asked me to provide email and phone numbers and offered me a $25 discount on my order and then gave me a discount code. When I entered the code it was rejected. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolvedNone of the fine print on their website is included in the offer their representative made by text message as shown in the screenshot. If the discount is not applicable to sales merchandise then it is the responsibility of the representative to state such. As per screenshot, no such representation was made with the $25 offer.
Making an offer with no caveats and then adding caveats after the offer is accepted is bait and switch. I learned in contract law that when one party makes an offer and the other party accepts that offer, a binding contract becomes in force. Apparently the company attorney had a different class in law school.

On December 24th, I reached out to the warranty teams email address as provided on GreenPans site. I wrote the following Hi there, I purchased a greenpan in August through Ruelala. We use it weekly and have been fairly happy with it until recently. Last week, food started sticking to it - onions, eggs, pancakes, you name it, we tried and it's sticking. Because the food is sticking, it's harder to clean. We are always careful to use it on medium-low heat and always hand wash. Please advise what my options are and what you need from me. Thank you! They have ignored me. I tried reaching out to them through social media. Still nothing. It was a very expensive pan and for them to dodge the warranty they advertise they stand by is misleading and bad business. Im simply looking for a replacement pan. If they dont want to replace, they can give me cash value to use to purchase a different pan.Business Response

**** ****Hello,
Thank you for contacting The Cookware Company.
We are very sorry to hear about the issues with your cookware. Dont worry, this issue can be easily resolved!
It is possible that you have a layer of carbonized oil built up on your pan that will create a barrier between the pan and your food. When this happens, you are basically cooking on the layer of burned oil as opposed to the surface of the pan. This layer may not be visible at first but may turn yellow-to-orange-to brown as the layer builds up.
This cleaning method has proven to be extremely successful and can be used when you notice staining and/or sticking.
Once completed, you may resume normal washing with soap and a soft sponge. Avoid use of abrasive cleaning pads and sponges or washing up brushes as the bristles are also abrasive. We have included our exterior cleaning method as well.
Interior:
Fill the pan halfway with water and bring it to a simmer for about 2 minutes. Pour out the water and place the pan on a safe sturdy surface. Carefully use a Melamine sponge (*** ***** ***** ****** or our Restoring Sponge) and a little plain water on the warm surface to wipe away the food or stuck on oil. This should do the trick.
The restoring sponge recommended for deep cleaning is perfectly safe. Our Product Team has tested this product for safety and durability. The sponge contains pores, which when moved around your pan, enables it to grab food and oil particles. Our cookware is coated and sealed and therefore, nothing will ***** into your pan. Once the deep cleaning is complete, you may wash your pan as you normally would.
Exterior:
Plain tap water and the *** ***** ***** ****** or any Melamine sponge should do the trick for minor staining! If you have stubborn stains, you may Mix baking soda and a little water to form a smooth paste; then use kitchen paper to rub the paste over the stained area (exterior surfaces only).
As a reminder from our Care & Use instructions:
It is very important to know the smoke point of the oil you choose. We recommend oils with a high smoke point, to reduce the chances of oils getting too hot and sticking to your pan. We therefore recommend keeping ********************** for the salad bowl and not using it as a cooking oil because it easily oxidizes on exposure to air and heat.
Typically, the only other reason a pan will lose its non-stick properties is due to abrasive cleaners.
***It is extremely important to avoid abrasive cleaners/brushes/sponges when cleaning non-stick ceramic coated cookware.*** ***Abrasive cleaners and brushes can scuff your pan ever so slightly, that it will affect the non-stick properties.***
Regular ********* is a better option as it has a higher smoke point. We also find that many consumers like clarified butter ****************************************************** and some vegetable oils with high smoke points. We suggest avoiding *********** as this oil can become sticky when heated. If you do choose to cook with ***********, please keep the heat on low to medium.
Users should avoid all oils in spray form, as the tiny oil droplets will heat up very quickly and burn, creating a layer of carbonization on your pan.
Thank you,
***** ******

I ordered a Greenpan from this company on December 1st. On February 14th, I noticed chipping around the rim of the skillet and contacted the company to obtain a repair or a replacement under the warranty. There was also rust forming under the skillet. My warranty claim was denied due to this being considered normal wear and tear. Given that I do not use metal on my skillets and stack them with felt mats I do not understand how they could have become damaged unless there was a manufacturing defect. I am very disappointed in this product given that it was the top recommendation of a reputable kitchenware review company.Business Response
Date: 02/18/2025
Based on the photos, there is no damage to the pans. The minor imperfections are caused from normal wear and tear.
There is no manufacturing defect identified.
While I understand the consumer frustration, we must adhere to our warranty policy, which states only manufacturing defects are covered.
