In June 2025, I was employed by ******************************** for approximately one week. Shortly after leaving the company, I discovered that Cisive Driver iQ had added an entry to my report stating that I had been terminated from ********* as of 06/11/25. In addition, the report includes a statement under "Accident/Incident" marked as Yes, although I was never involved in any accident or incident during my brief time with the company.Since then, I have applied to multiple major trucking carriers and have consistently received rejections. When I followed up with these employers, they all cited the same issue: my Cisive Driver iQ report shows a termination from ********* and an accident record, which makes me ineligible for employment. Many told me to return only after gaining at least four months of driving experiencesomething I am unable to do due to the false and misleading information in this report. I attempted to dispute the inaccurate information directly with Cisive Driver iQ, but their response was dismissive and unhelpful.This contradicts the fact that the report includes damaging and incorrect employment history, which has directly impacted my ability to secure any work in the trucking industry, whether local or over-the-road.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Cisive regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Cisive provided the background check that was ran, even though my record shows no tickets, no accidents, no felonies, etc. The trucking companies rejected my application and told me " you are showing active for ********* and open for review, come back when you have four months experience". Cisive responded that if other carriers are having problems reading the report, then to provide their phone number to explain the situation. So far, I have been rejected by 5 mega trucking companies for the reasons listed above. Problem is not solved!

I am filing a formal complaint against Cisive, a background check company, due to an unreasonable delay that has significantly impacted my *************** of Transaction: May 1, 2025 Payment: I have not paid any money directly; my employer, ***, handled the payment on my *************** Commitment: Cisive committed to providing background checks in a timely manner.Issue: My background check has been stuck at 93% completion for 22 days, and the company has failed to resolve the issue.Impact: Due to this delay, I missed my employment start date on May 19th, leaving me unable to begin work for reasons unknown to me.Despite multiple follow-ups, Cisive has provided only generic responses without offering a clear resolution or timeframe for completion. Their lack of transparency and efficiency has caused financial and professional hardship.I request that the BBB investigate this matter and assist in holding Cisive accountable for their failure to fulfill their commitment. I am going through a background check with this company for a second time in the past 6 months because of their negligence. They are purposely misusing my data, PII, and delaying my background check process by constantly asking for the same information over and over. I gave this company ten years worth of my tax transcripts. There is absolutely no reason they should need more information from me at this point. My employment start date has already been delayed three times. I do not want to be contacted by this company any longer because they are just wasting my time and discriminating against me at this point. Never in my life has a background check taken more than a month or two months at the absolute most. This company was sent out to retrieve my background for a job April 19, 2024. Today is March 15, 2024 and the reason why my background is still processing is because the county where my background is coming from does not do electronic paperwork employee from the background company has to physically go into the building and retrieve my background. I have been waiting almost a month to start my job because this company is dragging their feet with sending their employee that was paid to retrieve my background to, actually retrieve it very slow and they do not do what is told to them and it causes the corporation and the employer a lot of money in down time waiting on themInitial Complaint

Their division precheck keeps delaying the background check for my new job its coming up on 60 days. I have emailed their ***** support team with no results. I have inquired with the Sacramento County Superior Court asking if anybody has requested records for my name and date of birth and drivers license and this is a picture of the email that they sent back to me I havent cleared it with a complaint. Unfortunately the completion of the background is dependent upon the ********************* Court Clerk. Because the ******************* has made changes to their public record and more specifically public criminal record indexes, many times the court record search must be done by the Court Clerk. We make every attempt to impress upon the Clerk staff that these are important and people's employment are dependent upon their responsiveness however it falls on deaf ears. The Court Clerk will process the request on their timeline and will respond accordingly. As soon as the Court Clerk provides a response we will proceed with haste to close handling on our services.
