      Absolutely awful. This company bought or merged with ******** OIl which used to provide service to us. We became unhappy with the "new" ******** because of price gouging and, long story short, we switched to an official Burke account because we were told the price gouging would go away this way. In the confusion of the account switch, ********/Burke came twice within a couple of days to refill the gas tank, once with 64 gal, the second time with only 5.5 gal (tank was already full). Then they came days later to "inspect the gas system", tank included. They found the tank full with 84 gal and proceeded to bill us for 84 gal more which they claim they delivered. After 5 calls to customer service to try to clarify the confusion, the issue is still not resolved. They insist they made all those deliveries (which is nonsense) and replaced the tank (which is not true), effectively calling me a liar.I tried to talk to a manager but they are not available. These people are awful and I am going to cancel my contract with them.

      Burke Energy is one of the most unethical companies I have ever come across. Their pricing is on average is 1-2 x the market and their price ceiling contracting is purposefully misleading. After spending months monitoring other oil company pricing and understanding just how drastically they are over charging us, we called to cancel and after initially being told that was ok, they called back to say that we are actually in contract until September 2024 and if we want to cancel it is $399. DO NOT CONTRACT BURKE FOR ANY OIL SERVICES, WE HAVE FOUND AT LEAST 10 other local companies that are less expensive and without these unethical binding contracts.

      I am a widow my husband manage all household appliances and Ive been learning to navigate through life and owning a home myself. I do have a lot of help and advice from friends and family. But many problems pertaining to a house is new rosds to me . This summer I had Burke Energy maintenance my AC unit I asked the technician if he checked my gas furnace he responded yes and he wanted to change filter which I informed him I do every 3 months and its recent . He told me all good. Which it probably was.Thursday Dec 21 I came home and noticed my house was very cold I checked my thermostat called a few friends to trouble shoot . Checked air flow from vents which was only blowing cold air. The furnace was making bumping noises. Again new to me.What do I do? Call the company that maintenance this summer Burke Energy . I am not blaming them that they did something wrong I realize things break but they are a reputable HVAC company so I thought They told me a tech will be there from 7 10p no tech came next a tech will come from 10 3a. At that point I said can they come in am.Dec 22 a tech came at around 9am look at gas furnace said oh Boy 3 times and got up to leave I ask what that meant he said I do oil not gas he left. I call Burke Energy They said another tech will come from 10a-5p As I call all day no tech arrive I told them please if you cant do the job let know so I can another company 5:30 another tech came as he walked through the door he said I dont know why they sent me here I dont service gas furnaces only oil furnaces I ask the office why do keeping sending the wrong tech.They said they dont know why the techs keep telling me they do not know how to do the job . My response is THEY ARE NOT TRAINED ON GAS FURNACES. That would be dangerous. 2am another tech came gas furnace trained who informs he is not the only tech who works on gas furnace they have day gas techs . He cleaned my flamed sensor in 10 minutes and now I I will never use Burke Energy

      We have been customers of Burke Energy for close to 20 years. We decided to switch oil companies because we cannot afford the prices that they charge. We have been loyal customers that always pay our bills on time and in full. We received our last oil delivery from Burke Energy last week. They charged us $5.789 per gallon. Total bill $1,157.80. We contacted other oil companies the next day. One company was charging $3.799 per gallon and the other $3.70 per gallon if we received delivery that day. When we complained about the cost to Burke, they offered us a $50 credit which we did not accept. Loyalty means nothing to this company. Avoid using Burke Energy!!!! Shop around.

      Back in May 11th I scheduled three cleanings for my properties in the morning between **** today June 15th, 2023. Two days ago on Tuesday I received a confirmation email for one of the properties. See attached image. No one showed up at the first property this morning so by 10 I called the general number to see where my tech is. I was first told my appts were for the afternoon. I said no, and upon checking Burke said they were changed and I was called. That is a lie. I received no calls or texts or emails Both myself and a tenant missed work and meetings to be available for these annual cleanings. This company is very unprofessional and does not keep their appts. I am very disappointed with them.

      Price gouging is the business this company is in. They blatantly charge 50 and 60% over market for oil and almost double the market price for propane. Additionally when they do the equipment inspection they try to scare you into needing to replace your complete heating system, do not fall for it get a secong opinion. The only advice I can give is stay away from this company! they should be put out of business If you have an account close it and if you are thinking of opening one dont and do your research....

      Burke Energy, aka Petro Energy, aka ******** Energy, preys on senior citizens by sending them fraudulent bills, and then engaging in a campaign of harassment, while refusing to correct their obvious errors. DON'T USE THEM!

      Pricing is ridiculous, they're gouging. My ceiling is at $5.51, and market prices are around $3.60-3.70. They charged me $5.40 a week or so ago, such a rip off. It's cheaper for me to cancel at $399 than it is for me to pay them for the next 2 months. Moving back to buying on the cash market. Don't waste your time with Burke or price contracts, they're never advantageous no matter what they claim.

      Pricing is mysterious and when I ask what goes into the approx 60% **** up over the current cost per gallon, I hear vague references to "services" even though I have a service contract that is an additional $300+ a year. I only do the yearly tune up; only time I needed emergency service is when they missed a delivery. **************** would not provide his last name, and then starting asking aggressively what I wanted to do with the account. This is my 22nd year with them and likely my last. Stay away from this company.

      Do Not Buy HVAC (Mini-Split) from Burke Energy. Five years ago we contracted Burke to assess adding HVAC to our oil heat only house. They recommended 4 Fujitsu heat pump units with 7 inside units. They worked fine for the first 2 years and then each year one of the units would fail to cool and it was found to be low on refrigerant. This has now happened each year to 3 of the 4 heat pumps and we are now experiencing second time failures on some. The install cost was $27,000. Each time there is a problem a 'general' tech comes out, finds its low refrigerant but cannot diagnose why until a Fujitsu expert tech makes a second visit many days-week later. He has replaced on each unit a refrigerant coupling connector saying its a common failure component in his experience. Fujitsu Tech support denies this and we have confirmed with many other Fujitsu installers on various HVAC forums who all said they have not seen this except with bad installations.
