Disrespectful spam call from undisclosed number. Threatening me about "moving forward with the case." Left a message without disclosing that the call is from a debt collector. Had to google the 833 number they gave to find this BBB page.

This company has threatened me numerous times. Both Susan P***** and a man named Rick have both talked to me like I’m a dog. I have been yelled at and have been refused information about an account they claim I owe. Susan will call numerous times of the day and leave voicemails demanding for me to call back. When I did call back I asked to speak with someone other than her and she cut me off and yelled no multiple times. I called back and was directed to a manager named Rick, and he would not listen to anything I was telling him and told me I was not going to yell at him or tell him anything and that if I didn’t pay he is going to slap void on everything and I can go to court. The fact that they talk to anyone like this and threaten them really is scary and sad that no one finds it as harassment or against certain laws

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. I received a phone call from a local number and a very vague voicemail was left without a proper company name. I called back to see what was going on and was spoken to by a fast-talking employee that refused to allow me to do research into who they were and the debt they were contacting me about. Multiple times I was told that this was my only opportunity to pay towards this debt and they would recommend to the original company to take legal actions if I did not comply with them immediately. After a back and forth that I was talked over multiple times, I was placed on hold and sent to a supervisor who basically told me the same thing. When I raised concerns that I needed to do research into them and the debt because I had no idea who they were and I was concerned I may be talking with a scammer due to spoofed number and demands for money, I was quickly told goodbye and they would be pushing the original company to seek legal actions. I have delt with debt collectors before unfortunately. I have never been unable to explain my situation and not been allowed to call back after I've done research into who they are or, at the very least, received mail contact upon request to verify the company I am working with. This was an abysmal experience.

On 8/31/22, I received a call from Patrick H***. In his voicemail he stated he was from "Wellington" calling about case #******. According to my caller ID, the missed call came from 570 number, however Patrick said to call him back at an 833 number along with an extension. A company or individual using a spoofing technique is a little suspicious. I was unsure what exactly Wellington was, so I ******* the 833 number. Upon doing so, a non BBB accredited business by the name of Wellington Capital Partners LLC appeared-adding to speculation of the voicemail. After viewing the website, I saw it stated they are involved in the "recovery of delinquent personal consumer debt." I also was able to find several concerning lawsuits against them via ******. I do not owe personal consumer debt, nor investing in capital, therefore I am unaware of Wellington and why they were calling me. Patrick also violated the law in his voice message by not disclosing or truly identifying the actual name of who he was calling on the behalf of by only stating "Wellington." A better company practice moving forward would be to firstly, stop utilizing a spoofing technique. Hiding the number from where the Wellington representative(s) are calling from is dubious right off the bat, not a good first impression. Secondly, please stop calling individuals that are not linked to Wellington Capital Partners and/or ask to not be contacted.
