On February the 15th of this year I received a letter from Professional Claims Bureau stating I owed a **** of a $178 for services rendered from the ******************************** ear Infirmary. It was a collections statement for services rendered on August 9th 2021 for a total of $591. They claimed a total of $413 was paid by the insurance or credited leaving me with the balance of a $178. I never received such services. I registered my information sometime in the beginning of July of *************************************************************************** Manhattan. A month later a dr called me over the phone to ask me why I needed an appointment. The entire conversation took less than 2 minutes. They are now claiming that was a telehealth phone call (appointment) . It was not. I have not been seen by a doctor. I have not been tested for anything. My health history has not been screened. So I don't know where they are getting the charges from. They also claim they sent an incorrect **** to the wrong address. They seem to have my address with a ********* code. I have been living at my current address since 2016 (********* code). So I am not sure where they are getting this from. I called my insurance to see if they had any record of having paid a service and they said they do not. They esteemed this is a scam, as do I, since I have attempted to call them several times to no avail. I have been hung up on as soon as I ask for a gentleman by the name **************** that is attached to the letter I was sent. Or they transfer me to a number that is no longer in service. Mount Sinai accounting claims they are looking into it but don't understand why they have a different address on record for me or why I am being billed for a telephone appointment when it was not an appointment. Prior to receiving this collection's notice from the Professional Claims Bureau I have never received a single **** from *********************************.
