I purchased a used vehicle from Best Auto Outlet *** on 7/15/23 with a $5,000 down payment. The day after two alerts popped up on the dashboard (oil change and key fob low battery). I called the dealership to inform them of the alerts and expressed my concerns with needing an oil change after just purchasing. I was told to bring it back to have their mechanic look at it and perform an oil change. I brought the vehicle back the morning of 7/21/23. The oil change was performed, and the vehicle was returned to me. On my way from the mechanic additional alerts popped up on the dashboard (the battery icon and the automatic starter) then the vehicle began to release smoke from the hood and rear. I called the dealership to express what I was currently experiencing. Upon reaching my destination I witnessed oil dripping from the car. I took it to a mechanic located nearby to assess the problem. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealership (it was towed around 8:30pm on 7/21/23). I picked up the vehicle on 7/27/23 because it was "fixed" per dealership. While driving home the vehicle shut down while I waited at a stop light. I got it to start back up by turning off the automatic starter button and the ego button. On 7/28/23, the vehicle shut down at a stop light again. It was towed back to the dealership. I expressed that I do not feel safe in the vehicle and I no longer want it. With every problem the dealership continues to have local mechanics fix the problem. I requested they get a diagnostic completed by Chrysler. They did not honor my request but rather used someone they have a relationship with. I requested the diagnostic reporter and was told it would take 30 days and that I can have my own mechanic run a diagnostic on the vehicle. I requested to have in writing the agreement that any diagnostics I get done on the vehicle the dealership will fully reimburse me. I am being asked to pick up the vehicle with no diagnostic report stating everything is fine.Customer Answer

At this time, I have not been contacted by Best Auto Outlet Inc. regarding complaint ID ********. I have requested a diagnostic report that reflects the mechanical work the dealership reports conducting on the vehicle. However, I have not received any response regarding my request. I have also reached out to the dealership informing them that I have received the title of the vehicle and inquired about the process for "taking me out of" the defected vehicle. The dealership has not responded to my outreach informing them of the title nor have they provided any updates on my reimbursements.
Sincerely,

Hi, my name is *************************** and on Wednesday June 14, 2023, my church friend told me about Best Auto Outlet a used car dealer. A sales guy by the name of ****** gave me the company's website to look at the cars they have available. Almost instantly I saw the ******* Santa Fe for $15,498.00 and I told ****** that I wanted that vehicle. On the same day Wednesday June 14, 2023 I went there to ****** the sales representative because I spoke with him over the phone about the 2018 ******* Santa Fe. I asked ****** what the total cost for the car with the taxes would be and ****** said he would have to run my ************. I gave ****** all the information that he needed including my SSN. Not knowing what to expect since this is my first time financing a vehicle; I followed all the instruction of ******. When I got to ******************* another guy (***************) giving me the documents to sign for the car. I asked *************** for the total price for the car and *************** told me that a company by the name of UP TEMPO would give me that information so I started to sign the documents. On Friday June 16, 2023, I got the payment schedule from UP TEMPO not the breakdown of the price of the car, so I called UP TEMPO and the representative told me that UP TEMPO do not give that information and that BEST AUTO OUTLET should have given me that information and that the paper is called Retail and Settlement Contract. I called BEST AUTO OUTLET after UP TEMPO; I spoke with *************** and he started mumbling "I didn't give it to you" and I told him no. I went to BEST AUTO OUTLET on Saturday June 17, 2023, because *************** insisted that he gave me the document and I showed him all the documents that he gave me. I called the Police and the Manage told the Police that ***** would be the one sending the breakdown to me, not UP TEMPO. ***** has no record of my business, so who am I paying a high interest rate of *****% with a credit score over 700 to? You can call me at ************. Thank youInitial Complaint

I filed a complaint with the AG's office on 4/12/23. I purchased a vehicle from Best Auto Outlet on 3/18. I confirmed via text with an employee that it had GPS Navigation. Come to find out it didn't come with it and also cannot be installed on that particular model car. It is a 2014 audi A5 premium convertible. I sent them an email stating that i would like to return the car and get my deposit back, however they said that they couldn't because it is not a mechanical issue. I believe this is a breach of contract because i asked and was told that it did in fact have gps. Having navigation was one of those items that is/was a must have for me and I would have never purchased it if it didn't have it. But they allowed me to think it did. I didn't realize this until the car was in my possession a week and a half later (they kept the car to fix a dent in the hood). I picked the car up on 3/29 and complained to them on 3/30. They told me that to see if there was a spot to put a chip in and that they would order it for me. I couldn't find it and called an Audi Dealership in ********** **, and they informed me that this model does not have gps and cannot add it. I was okay with getting the chip and installing it, and best auto said they would probably cover it (depending on the cost), but when i found out it couldn't be installed, and told them I no longer wanted the vehicle and they said no, that's just unacceptable and fraud and breach of contract. thank you.Customer Answer

We never spoke about how much i was going to give as of down payment.
