RamShack Computers is the most unprofessional “business” I’ve ever dealt with. My first experiences with him were playing constant phone tag, I would call, he would ask if he could call me right back, and never did. I would call again and again I received empty promises of a return call. I even got to the point where I had to ask the guy if he wanted my business! Finally he ordered a new keyboard (which I paid for in advance) and I was to drop off my laptop on a Friday evening on my way out of town. When I contacted him to tell him I was close, he responded he was not home, that he had forgotten! He told me to leave it on his porch and his roommate would bring it in the house….no way was I going to do that! I told him I would come by that Sunday on my way back through town to drop off my laptop. When I got there I decided I did not want to do business with this guy and asked for my keyboard. He reluctantly gave it to me complaining that he “did all this work” and now he won’t be paid for it. I reminded him of all the work I did just chasing him down to get to this point! I ended up going to a reputable computer repair shop in Webster who said the part he had purchased was the wrong part! It will probably not come as a surprise that this guy did not refund my money, after I returned the part to him. We exchanged texts and this is where the really unprofessional side of him surfaced! I wish I could put a copy of his text to me in this review, at one point he ended up apologist and saying he was going through a hard time and would refund my money “because he is not a thief” ….well guess what, he is a thief because I still have not received a refund a month later! Clearly he felt his “trouble” was worth the $28. RamShack Computers is a farce, the guy works out of his home, reeks of cigarette smoke and greeted me in his pj’s! Spend the extra money and go to someone professional!
