On 5/17/24 I spoke to salesperson, Zachary R** in a parking lot of the Towne Square Mall in Vestal, NY where Meyer's RV had travel camping trailers displayed.
After a world wind of questions, I found myself leaving with paperwork saying I purchased a trailer. I don't know how that happened.
I am 88 years old.( soon to be 89).
I do not hear well at all. I get confused easily.
My income, cash down payment, my email address are all incorrect on the paperwork.
I did not agree to the additional insurances, fees and interest rates.
I want Meyers RV to relinquish me from any contracts with them, and Money Or Loan to *** ****, F***** ****** and ** *********.
The loan is saying it's for 86 months,
At my age, why would I agree to that?
I am not physically able to drive and control the trailer they are trying to sell me.
I called Meyers RV on 5/24/24 the morning I was to take my current trailer to them as a trade in and pick up the newer 2019 trailer to tell them I changed my mind and no longer wanted to go through with the sale.
The person I spoke to said the manager was not in but they would relay my message.
The following week I received a call from Dennis D***/ Business Manager who to me I was stuck with it and still responsible.
I cannot afford this and it is very upsetting to me and affecting my health.
Please help me.
Thank youInitial Complaint

4/29/24 signed papers under duress from pressured sales practice. I was not there to purchase anything. I wanted to see used, low priced campers. I was not there to buy one. I walked out of the camper and could not think right and the pressure began. It was more than I could afford and for to many years. I would not want a camper for so much money and pay until I was 87 years old. I don't know how I was convinced to sign. I went right back the next morning and asked them to cancel it. I was told it was binding after I signed. They pushed and pushed to get me to sign and I can't go through with the loan. I signed a sale on consignment paper, on 4/30/24 . I received an email that said pay the first payment June 1st. and they will start selling the camper. The contract said they will sell the camper for 90 days from the signing date 4/30/24. They promise a lot and make up different rule along the way. Tell you numbers and raise them later.Initial Complaint

We bought a camper from them on July 1, 2022. When we went to closing we were told that we didn't need to bring anything. After paperwork got started turns out they needed two months of paystubs and we didn't have any with us. They told us we couldn't take our camper home and would have to come back. when we got outside it was still hooked to our vehicle I had to ask for them to unhook it just so we could leave. We were told when we come back we would get something for our trouble. We came back and did all the paperwork and they gave us a $25 gift card to their camp store. That didn't even cover the cost of gas to get there a second time. Once outside they didn't even hook it up for us we had to ask again. I tried complaining to corporate a few weeks later and they promised a call to address the issue and none was ever returned. Then last summer we had some issues with the camper and asked to have them repair it since we purchased the silver package. They had us deliver our camper on Nov 28, 2023. We were told it would take a few months. We just got our camper back two days ago 5/18/24. They had it for months and my husband had to hound them with phone calls just to get it back in time for camping season. They didn't even repair everything we asked for and we were told we couldn't pick it up until after they were closed because it was a weekend. When we went to get it the battery was completely dead and we had trouble loading it on our hitch. My husband had to manually crank it to get it to lift up to get the camper hooked up. Also, the camper was a filthy mess. My husband had a call from a manager who claimed they were working on it but would be in touch weeks ago here when he called the other day it was "done" and nobody bothered to call us so if we hadn't complained it would still be sitting there. Our experience with this company has been a nightmare since that mess up at closing. I have so much more to say but I have to keep it under so many words.Initial Complaint

We purchased a new RV in September of 2023. Upon getting it home we noticed many issues and the lack of craftsmanship. The camper has been nothing but issues and when we contacted and met with them regarding getting things handled they were wonderful. It was definitely a show and had fooled us.
Fast forward to October when we dropped it off, we heard nothing back until late November when we pushed for an update that was simply that they haven,t touched it. We never had a real answer or information regarding the camper until February of 2024. They constantly claimed they didn't have the parts to do a few of the jobs. Fast forward to April of 2024 and we received the camper back unfinished and with more damages than we had given it to them with( including damages to interior doors, electrical outlets pushed in the wall and our sewer line hanging from the underneath of the camper that is also pulling the under belly down.
We once again had to have them take the camper back and the insisted they would get everything fixed this time around properly. This was on April 18 when they picked it back up. As of May 2 they still had not started on it after giving us the time estimate of 2 weeks all while knowing we had a trip planned for may 10. We were contacted on may 8 and informed they once again don't have parts to finish the jobs and won't be able to get our camper back to us completed. We had them redeliver it to us not completed once again!! They also told us if they delivered it on Friday may 10 in the afternoon that it was our fault if we didn't go camping that day...We have 2 small kids 4 and 1, unacceptable. Fast forward to this camping trip and we have run into even more issues that we are sure were intentional at this point. Our awning is now leaking, our entire underbelly has standing water in it due to something leaking, our light fixture over the dining table fell and our shower head continues to leak. They also ignore emails and refuse to compensate any wayInitial Complaint

We bought a new 2023 camper in May, 2023. From the first camping trip until the last, we had major problems with the camper. We were unable to bring the camper home from the first weekend because the motor burned out on the awning. We had to leave it at the campground and beg Meyers to come out and fix it on Monday so we could go back and get it. We kept a list of problems and parts that were missing when we picked up the camper. We were told that at the end of the camping season, we could bring it back for all the repairs. ONE of major problems was the whole side panel on the front of the camper was cracked in several places. This was a structural problem and we asked that it be returned to the factory to be replaced. We dropped the camper off in October, 2023 to be repaired. It was sent to Forest River in Indiana in January. The day it returned to NY, we went to look at it, and it was cracked again! It was then that we found out this was the second time it had been repaired. We knew someone owned the camper for a couple of months prior to us buying it. We were told, "he is too picky and the camper didn't work for him". Then to find out that they had already fixed the cracks once was just sneaky and untrue on their part. We received the whole song and dance from Nick stating, "we will get it back there right away and get it fixed" The camper went back in February and since that time, we have not been able to get any straight answers from anyone! We actually got a call from Forest River because they could not get in touch with anyone in Bath to get answers either. Needless to say, Nick is now working at another location so we had to go through everything again with Kyle. He was great for 1 day. Apologetic and I'll call you back (which he did twice the first day). Now nothing. Despite leaving messages for 2 days. Our camper has been gone for 8 months and we have had to cancel 2 trips so far, and have several more camping trips scheduled. HelpInitial Complaint

My husband and I purchased our very first RV from Meyers of Syracuse in April of 2022.
Being that the purchase was for an used RV we did not expect perfection-all used products have wear n tear.
After purchase it was brought to our attention, through photos that friends had taken, that there was extensive patching and calking on the roof of our RV.
Upon further inspection, the enclosed pictures tell us there was previous damage to the roof that carried on into the RV. We would not have purchased this particular RV with all this damage-had there been disclosure.
I have been in communication with the GM at the Syracuse location and have several emails back and forth.
We are in correspondence with a different location. They are addressing the warranty issues.
An email from the GM at Meyers Syracuse stated he would help with the bill. I have not heard from him since.
I did receive the customer appraisal sheet from Meyers where the previous owner indicated the roof was in good shape. Being that the roof was in poor condition, I can only assume this would have been a determining factor with the trade in value. Meyers must have known of the damage to the roof-used as a determination for trade in value.
I have numerous emails from the GM at Meyers from last summer. Since them communications have ended. Please contact me for any additional information.
We are simply looking for replacement of the roof to ensure the RV will last for a while.Initial Complaint

We put a deposit on a new camper had a written deal on trading our 2020 on a 2023. We were working with Bob in their finance department that discovered some issues with our credit. We immediately contacted our bank and discovered it was 100% a banking errors that they reported. A letter was sent to Meyer’s RV and the bank worked on fixing the issue. The last conversation we had with Bob is that all was fixed on our credit and we were good to go with the deal. We then stopped into the RV store only to be told our new camper was stolen. At that point a lengthy conversation with manager CJ happened and he said they would find us a camper. Now a few months have gone by with us keeping in contact and they are telling us they can’t honor our deal and will not do our trade in for what we had agreed on. We were never told
The camper was stolen until we walked in to what we thought to finalize the deal in Dec 2023. They kept telling us they couldn’t find the same camper and year however my husband called them about 3 one being on one of their other lots and they never called us back just promised to call back. Now they say deal has been off and on top of it all I would have thought if the deal was off when the camper was stolen in 2023 we would have gotten our deposit back but no they still have our money. In the meantime we lost on another deal because we weren’t aware that they weren’t going to honor the deal that was agreed on. Owning a business we can’t always satisfy everyone but we have never in 25+ years went back on our word without having a sit dow talk with our customers but for 3 months they have continued to tell us they are looking for a camper so we have patiently waited and now today they say they can sell and trade our camper but not at the agreed price. What kind of scam do they have going on at this company. Who knows can’t get a manger to call back.Initial Complaint

This was at meyers rv in madison, oh. We were in the process of looking for a camper and finally found one that we liked. We discussed the price and went back and forth on things and finally came to an agreement. We also confirmed that this was the exact camper we would get and we were told they will be placing a sold sign on the unit as soon as we were done with paperwork. We then proceeded to give a deposit and set up a date for final walk through, payment, and pickup. Upon starting the final walk through I was cautious and meticulous with checking things over but things were starting to seem and look odd to me were not adding up. I got to the inside and was basically the last straw and confronted them about the issues I was seeing. Luckily I had taken a few pictures from when we first were out and decided on the camper and placed a deposit. The pictures confirmed my suspicion that it was not the same camper. When I confronted them about the problem I was told these exact words "This is a different camper but the same model so that we could meet the price point". Completely astounded by the response that I was given and could not believe it. If not for my suspicion and pictures they would've pulled a bait and switch on us. There was no denial, nothing other than them completely trying to pull a bait and switch. Absolutely disgusted with the situation and company.
