    I have a bus stop in my yard. Patrons continuously leaving drug paraphernalia and garbage in my yard. They also take over my property by blocking my driveway to the point I can’t leave my own residence. I have made numerous complaints and no one even responds. I have kids and they have been threatened by some of the bus patrons. I was told the NFTA doesn’t place bus stops on peoples property that is a lie. I spoke to numerous employees about this issue and I am told they will get to the bottom of this and never respond again. If me or one of my children get poked with a dirty needle in my yard from the bus patrons or any other possible incidents I will be filing a massive lawsuit against the NFTA the town of Hamburg and anyone else that failed to do anything about this.

    Thank you very much for reaching out to the Executive Director of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority through the Better Business Bureau to express your concerns about the location of a bus stop in front of your home. I write today to respond to your inquiry. The NFTA is authorized to designate bus stops along any public highway in Erie and Niagara counties on which it operates a bus route. Your request is that the NFTA eliminate the bus stop presently located in front of your home. We cannot fully accommodate this request. In this stretch of South Park Ave., bus stops are placed at intervals of approximately 1,200 feet. The elimination of this bus stop would lead to a circumstance where the patrons who currently use this stop would be required to walk an additional distance along a road without sidewalk facilities, meaning that this proposed change would cause a net reduction in safety, which is why we cannot accommodate this request. However, we do aim to be as accommodating to requests as we can possibly within the constraints under which we must operate. To reduce the likelihood that bus patrons would congregate in and potentially obstruct your driveway apron, we intend to move the stop location north approximately forty feet. I understand that this accommodation does not fully satisfy your request, but the adjustment we are implementing should reduce the likelihood of your driveway apron being obstructed. Thank you.
