HORRIBLE company. I very good condition book in and they came back saying they didn't agree with the very good condition and decreased the amount they were going to send to me. I went to their website to decline the new pricing (knew I was just being ripped off); and they had automatically accepted the new payment. My order was shown as "on hold" I immediately went to their chat - which was useless, I sent an email and I called and spoke with a ********* Rep said she saw the issue and would request the book be returned to me. She said I would receive a confirmation email. I never received the confirmation. I sent another email and called again. The second rep said he would have to send it to another department and I would receive an email that day. No email. Much later I'm told they already sold my book and my check (for less than I had agreed on) was already processed. Not acceptable. Scammers. Do not sell books to this company. Id give it less than one star except that it wouldnt let me do a review then..,, this website is a COMPLETE SCAM!! DO NOT USE IT! Its taking advantage of college students, many whom desperately need their book buyback money to get through a bit longer!!! They quoted me a price, then claimed **** damaged my package AND THAT THE BOOKS WUOYED WERENT IN THE *** WHICH CONTAINED MY SHIPPING LABEL ON IT!!! I want my money or my books back! I paid $499 plus tax AND NEVER WOUND UP USING THE BOOKS BECAUSE I MOVED SUDDENLY, and they didnt even offer me much. $103.91, to be exact!!! I want my books or my money! Since you accepted the adjustments prior to contacting us, the order was processed on 07/28/2022.We have no doubts that there was no intention to deceive us from your side, therefore, once you contacted us, our representative requested a more detailed explanation from our processing team. Unfortunately, it appeared that the box with the label attributed to your order, contained the items that were not initially quoted. Hi I sent 18 books thru booksrun and it was 2 months I haven't heard anything from them. So I messaged them asking why my books was in transit still? They responded with 2 of my books being counterfeit they terminated my account and the $600 in profit I only got $4.71 telling me they won't be returning the rest of my books. I have books in transit still haven't received an info that my other books was counterfeit but obviously they paid me on the $4.71 book my other books was $119 one was $130 and so on. What a waiste of my time and money. Im a single parent me and my daughter was excited about that money for the water park in ******. Why was my account disabled???Booksrun.com Inc.

Why was the $4.71 the only book I was paid for? I sent books to your company all 17 they are claiming to be counterfeit? My books was is great condition not like there description on how to spot counterfeit books. I was quoted $600 and they are keeping all my books which is over $1,000 in profit for them. Why was I only paid for my cheapest book my other books sell for $280 on Amazon x 2 I sent them and none of the books I sent was under $100 after they resell them. Greetings!By checking our database, we can see that out of the total number of 18 buyback orders submitted with us, there were only 7 orders sent to us and actually received by us, 1 more order that was sent to us was lost in transit by the mail carrier, and the 10 remaining orders were cancelled automatically by the system due to not being shipped by you within 5 days after the order placement. Moreover, we could not help but notice that multiple small orders containing only one or two items with the books that have the same ISBNs were created by you, which is not allowed as per our policy, due to us having level pricing which means that with every three more copies that you sell, the buyback price is reduced. Therefore, all copies of the same item should have been quoted in the same buyback order.Nevertheless, as per our records, within the 7 orders actually received at our warehouse, there was a total number of 9 books with the total offered quote for them being $396.03, and 7 of the books were deemed counterfeit. Thus, the item Botany: An Introduction to Plant Biology (ISBN: *************) within your buyback order #******* was paid for via ****** in the adjusted amount of $4.91 due to the fact that the condition the item was received in did not correspond to the condition initially quoted by you. Please also be kindly advised that per our existing policy and as you were notified before, after the account is deactivated, all the items in transit or received become the property of BooksRun without any possibility of return and payment. This is exactly the case with your order #*******, which was received at our processing facility on 07/15/2022, after your account was disabled on 07/12/2022. Booksrun sells one of my books for rent only at $340 and I sold them 2 of the same books **** by ********************* publisher. They will not provide tracking information that they sent my books to the publisher or author because they did not. I've been waiting over a month for the author to notify of my books being real or counterfeit and booksrun hasn't notified nor anyone else they are liars stealing books and I'm reporting them to departments of justice, Secretary of state, consumer compliant ***, federal trade commission, sba and who anyone else i can file complaint with of the dishonesty that this company does. I looked my books up on ****** the sellers are the same for all my books I mean a person selling the same books on all my books and no other books it doesn't make sense but I know what these people are doing. Stealing that's why they say over and again about counterfeit books it puts a seller in a oh well position and upfront boomsrunis already telling us that this is how they work. The cooperation with the publishers takes the form of a partnership and all the correspondence between partners is a confidential one and cannot be shared with the third party. However, as was explained to you multiple times, all the information regarding the items received within your buyback orders, the comparison images clarifying the counterfeit detection points as well as our detailed explanation of them, which were also supplied to you, were forwarded to the respective publishers and they confirmed with us over the phone that the items in question were indeed counterfeit. Therefore, the items were disposed of by us based on the publishers' confirmations. Afterwards, the publishers do indeed reserve the right to contact you for more details about the purchases but are not obliged to do so. Please note that if the publishers choose not to contact you, it is, unfortunately, out of our hands, as all the information we had was supplied to them accordingly. Disgusting. Predatory. Liars.Got a book that arrived late although I paid for rush shipping (06/14/2022). I had originally cancelled the order 2 hours after I made it but the twas "too late". Went to return the late book and it was a mess. Had to pay for return shipping. Was charged a fee for the return. None of this was transparent in the process. Therefore, once your item was returned to us, a refund was issued to your account accordingly with the restocking fee applied automatically. Therefore, we were about to issue a refund of the restocking fee to your account, however, were unable to due to the dispute being opened. Please be kindly advised that if the claim with the bank is opened from your side, we will not be able to issue any kind of refund as the funds are frozen for the duration of the review of the case. Thus, the resolution from the bank will be provided within the next 2-3 months. I returned a book that I rented, it may have taken longer to arrive due to it being the holiday weekend (the deadline to ship the book back was 7/5/22.) They charged me $15 for an extension and have the WORST **************** ever. No one answers the phone, no one chats back on the website and no one can reply to an email. I just want my refund of $15 back on my card because I do not need the extension on the textbook and it is no longer in my hands. SCAMMERS. I sent them my textbook for buy back on 6/12/2022. Their website says you will get paid in 4 business days. Today is 6/30/2022 and they finally email me about payment but now they are quoting me 0 dollars for my textbook showing a ripped out page when all my pages were intact when the book was shipped out. Their customer service is terrible. I called them many times to find out what was going on with my buyback and when I finally got on the phone with someone the person answered and you can hear laughing in the background then they hung up. I should have read the reviews on this "company" before sending them my textbook. Now these scammers want to charge me $9 to get my textbook back when they messed my book up. I have read plenty of reviews on these scammers claiming the book was damaged but the customers said it was in perfect condition when they sent it to them. I recommend everyone to stay away from this "company" if you don't want to get robbed of your textbooks.
