Hi I placed an order last week for a gift for a good friend that I need before October 8th. I purchased what was advertised as an 18kt two tone gold vintage to antique pocket watch chain as my friend is an avid watch collector. Upon receiving the chain I was put off by tge feel of it which prompted me to test it with a magnet and it the white tone " gold" immediately snapped and clung to my magnet" aftet this I continued to testing all components of the chain the white gold failed 10k to 18k acid gold test and the yellow tone components came back as somewhere between 10k and 14k. I opened a help request and seller said they'd provide a return shipping label but they didn't until two days later when I opened a etsy case which she then did send me the return label. I have sent the package back and it should arrive upon Monday or Tuesday. I am writing this to show my discontent about this entire situation. Etsy should do better than to let there supposed " star sellers" get away with trying to rip ppl off or tie thir money up in an event like mind where thankfully I'll hopefully have enough time to be able to buy another gift before the date I needed it by. Thankfully I didn't wait until closer til the occasion to pur have this otherwise it'd be a entire different problem. Hopefully this complain will help bring others tge awareness to have the items they purchase off if etsy checked before accepting them as what the person they purchased them from described them as. This was a $904.15 purchase and what I received was worth a mere fraction of the cost. Please due your due diligence when buying on etsy and if your not confident in testing jewelry yourself a jewelry shop or **** shop will do it for free. I'd like an immediate refund upon the seller receiving my return or I will be filing a chargeback through my bank this has already been a ridiculous amount of time. Etsy has lost a potential good customer I will stick to **** going forward!!!!!Initial Complaint

However, Etsy told that I have violated their policies while they sent me an email verification on Sep 21 2024. Therefore, I want to reinstate my account because I do not violate their policies. Thank you so much for your help! About my products, I made Printable Wall Art myself and do not have third party. Moreover, I have read again Prohibited Items Policy, and my products are not included on that list. So I believe that, my account could not be suspended. Please help me to reinstate my shop account. I am filing a complaint regarding the suspension of our Etsy shop and the denial of our appeal, despite taking corrective actions. We believe Etsy has not provided sufficient clarity or support in resolving this matter, which has significantly impacted our business.Background: We opened our Etsy shop on 23 August and were suspended on 18 September. As new sellers, we misunderstood Etsys listing policies and selected I made it instead of *************** or person to describe our use of a production partner. Once we realised this, we promptly updated all listings to clarify our production process.Steps Taken: Listings Updated: We corrected all listings to reflect the accurate role of our production partner, ensuring full transparency about how our designs are produced. Shop Story Updated: We added details about our production partner in the shop story to maintain clear communication with customers. Privacy Policy Added: We implemented a privacy policy to strengthen customer trust and comply with *********************** requirements. Profile Address Updated: We updated our profile to reflect the correct business address.We paid NZD 47 to open the shop and have invested thousands of dollars into designs and production to create inventory for our listings. Despite this investment and our efforts to comply with Etsys policies, our shop was suspended, and our appeal was denied without clear reasoning or guidance on how to resolve the issue.Lack of Support: Etsy has provided limited communication and no clear explanation for the denial of our appeal, leaving us with no path to reinstate our shop. They said they were considering our appeal but their response to our appeal was provided 5 minutes after it was submitted, showing lack of care and consideration. Hello, I have been a seller on the Etsy platform for about 5 years. I pay almost $100,000 in fees to Etsy every year for my sales. I went to ****** this year due to a family emergency. One of my employees made a few listings of shirts that other sellers also added, without my knowledge. For this reason, Etsy suspended my account. We removed the listing as soon as we noticed it, but Etsy still suspended my account. ********************** wants me to contact the company that owns the copyright so that they can withdraw the complaint but they dont answer or get back to me, the is no way to reach them out.. My only income is this account and I have been working hard to grow it for the past 5 years. I have spent all of my assets to grow this account. I sell about $300,000 on yearly basis. . Since Etsy has locked my account, I cannot access anything that I have paid for. I am in a very difficult situation. I invested everything I had spent money and effort on for 5 years and my account was closed. I have been selling on Etsy for many years now and have built a strong community on that platform where I sell handmade goods. Back in April, Etsy had shutdown my account and even after filing an appeal for a wrong closing, they still wont open my account. I have not violated any of their policies and have tried numerous times to reach out and see what the real issue was instead of receiving automated emails with a list of reasons of why it was shutdown (Which all reasons were invalid). I have sent them video proof to them and website proof of where and how my products are being made, I have even made that location and place a production partner to prove and show Etsy that I wasn't violating any of their policies. As a seller on this platform and the community and all the positive reviews that my page has, it is disappointing to see how Etsy has treated so far.Customer Answer

In May 2024 I opened a seller's account on ********************** so I could sell my hand crocheted items (baby afghans, dog sweaters, hats, etc.). After 2 sales I was notfied that they had suspended my account and told I would get an email explaining why. I never got any email. I filed several appeals and never heard back about any of them. I still do not know why my account was suspended! I have reviewed all of their "rules and regulations" and cannot find any that I have violated. I have been trying to get an answer and some help since June! There is no address or phone number to contact on the Etsy website and they just seem to ignore the appeals I have filed.Customer Answer

I created an Etsy business account to sell bath scrubs, oils and other small handmade items. Every one of my items were hand made. I had about 4 sales in my first week. I shipped them all out within 2 days. Randomly, after a week of having the online business opened, I got an email stating my account has been suspended for violating Etsys policies. Ive tried reaching out to Etsy multiple times with no success as they never get back to me with a response. I eventually gave up trying to sell on Etsy and just wanted my money from my 4 sales. They decided to refund all of my money back to the buyers without notifying me, when the packages have been shipped and received. Mind you- all of the people who bought something were friends so they confirmed they got their orders in the mail. I feel as if Ive been wronged by Etsy, and without explanation. Every time I try to contact them to clarify whats going on, I am shut down and left to wait for months with no response until I call or email again and again. I just want whats right.
