I got a lease from Bay Ridge Hyundai a Hyundai Kona I was told that I would only need to pay for my over mileage but when I get a letter in the mail Im told I owe double from what I owe. There have been numerous problems with dealing with them. All I want is my account to be fixed so my credit doesn't get damaged and apology for raising my blood pressure. I should not have to owe the extra amount and getting through to someone with a response is almost never

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Hyundai City of Bay Ridge regarding deceptive sales practices, poor customer service, and an unresolved refund of $4,000. Below is a summary of the events:Deceptive Pricing: I visited the dealership to purchase a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy edition, advertised at $50,000. The salesperson quoted $54,000, adding $2,000 for mandatory ************* and "Benchmark" coverage, which were not disclosed as optional. I reluctantly agreed to $52,000, believing these coverages were for the vehicle's lifetime, only to later find they were limited to 12 months.Failure to Deliver Promised Vehicle: The dealership assured me they had located the car I wanted (grey exterior, beige leather interior). Upon arrival, the car had a green interiora feature I explicitly declined multiple times. The salesperson admitted he knew I wouldnt like it but pressured me to accept it regardless.Bait-and-Switch Tactics: Over several visits, I was shown multiple vehicles, including one that was "reserved" for me. When I returned, that car was unavailable. Instead, they offered a different vehicle, which was a 2024 modelnot the 2025 model I had agreed to purchase. When I provided photographic proof of the reserved 2025 vehicle and its VIN, they claimed it was unavailable due to a recall, only disclosed after persistent questioning.Unresolved Refund: After losing trust in the dealership, I requested a refund of my $5,000 deposit (paid via credit card and cashier's check). While the credit card portion was refunded, the $4,000 cashiers check has not been returned despite assurances it would take 4-6 days. It has now been over three weeks, and multiple follow-ups have yielded no resolution.Desired Resolution Immediate return of my $4,000 cashiers check. An explanation of the dealerships misleading practices and steps to prevent similar issues.Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.

I purchased a vehicle out of state at Hyundai City Of Bay Ridge in ********, ** and the dealer is trying to steal my refund from the **** There was an overage that I paid for my registration and tile fees. The dealer sent the paperwork and payment to the *** on my behalf and when the *** processed it, my payment that was sent was more than the amount needed, therefore the *** refunded the diffand the dealership is trying to tell me that isn't my money and they have not sent it to me. I suspect that they have done this to others which means they'rr taking people's money. Also it took 7 weeks for me to receive my registration and plates and the temp plate they gave me expired at week 4 but they did nothing to rectify the situation. Based on other ****** reviews, this is a common complaint. And these people probably have no idea the dealer is taking their money that the *** returns. The entire experience has been horrible and the dealer is brushing me off and has been unresponsive in resolving my issue. The dealer sent $2,198.17 of my money to pay my registration fees, taxes and title. The total cost was $2,037.67, so the *** refunded $160.50 to the dealer on my behalf and the dealer is trying to take my money. This is not a tip, a commission or bonus for them. That is my money that I paid, therefore any overage is supposed to come back to me. I have been getting the run around every time i talk to the sales *** and we last spoke on 10/2 and someone was supposed to be contacting me. They have been un***sonsive since October 2. I emailed the General Sales manager on 10/8 and am waiting for a response. I have a strong feeling they will not respond as many other complaints have indicated they are unresponsive when it comes to any problems that arise.

We purchased a used 2024 Genesis GV80 from Akmajlon Jurakulov at Genesis of Bay Ridge (now called Genesis of Brooklyn) and he delivered it to our summer home in ********** on July 17. When Jurakulov delivered the vehicle, he gave us paperwork for the extended warranties and the vehicle came with a temporary tag from ******** and we gave him a certified check for $64,200. The temporary registration of the vehicle stated that it would be registered in *******, which is our permanent residence. Jurakulov provided us with ONE key and informed us that they did not know where the second key was. We repeatedly called and texted Jurakulov afterwards to see when the key would be delivered and received no response. We then found out that he was no longer at Genesis of Bay Ridge, and we were given the name of ***** ******** who was the used car manager. We both texted and called ******** numerous times. I received one response from ******** after asking where the key and the car title were. He said he would check with service for the key and get back to me and that the title would be issued by the State of New York and sent to *******. He did not get back to me about the key. We never received the title for the car. All other texts and calls to ******** went unanswered. Having no response from ******** we then called Genesis Corporate. Genesis Corporate called Genesis of Bay Ridge and they found out that ***** ******** was no longer employed at Genesis of Bay Ridge. Genesis Corporate assured us that it has a record of us owning the vehicle. Genesis Corporate stated that the title would be issued by the State of Florida. Florida has absolutely no record of the vehicle as of today and Florida says that we should speak with Genesis of Bay Ridge. Genesis of Bay Ridge does not return our calls. We now have a vehicle in our possession that has an expired temporary tag and do not have a car title. We also do not have a second key. We want the title and the key to the car.

On Friday, April 5, 2024, I brought my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Blue for regular maintenance, which includes oil change, tire rotation, multi-point inspection, and to fix squeakybrakes. There was also an issue with the windshield wiper fluid from the front and rear not spraying. Here's a breakdown of what I was charged:$230 for engine cleaning $398 for 2 hours of labor to change -windshield washer hose -windshield washer pump Total: $628+ tax = $683.74 On the invoice, it states the windshield pump is covered under warranty. My complaint is why is changing the hose a two hour job that costs $398 and it included the changing of a warranty part? You cannot charge for labor for work that was covered under warranty. The hose is attached to the pump, if you have to replace the pump anyway under warranty and the hose is attached to said pump, it can be done in minutes if not seconds.Furthermore, the invoice showed oil change and tire rotation performed but the service advisor told me both tasks weren't due and would not be done.I did not contact them to try to resolve the issue because I do not trust theirdeceptive practices. They have no integrity and make up stuff. I hope BBB can help resolve this.

    Better Business Bureau:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Hyundai City of Bay Ridge regarding complaint ID ********.   I went to the Hyundai City of Bay Ridge on Thursday, April 11, 2024 to speak with a manager about their carelessness in using my name and address to apply for an auto loan with TD Auto Finance. I told the manager that I would like to see that my address and name were no longer on their computer for the sale of the car.  He told me that he could not show me the other person's address.  I said that I would only like to see the first two numerals in the address to make sure it was not my address.  He then told me that  my address had not been removed and that it was still being used .

I then told the manager that this was very careless business practice. The manager then told me that they knew who made the mistake at the dealership. He offered me discounts if I myself were to by a car there.  I said I wasn't interested in buying  a new car.   I told the manager that I  wanted my address removed from the sale of that car and I wanted to be compensated $500 for my time spent trying to correct their error.

At that point a different manager came in the room.  He apologized about all that happened. He said  that he understood my feelings and would feel the same way if it had happened to him. He said that  he would speak to  his supervisor about compensating me $500 for my time.  He said that he contact me by April 14,2024 about how this situation could be rectified.  He never contacted me !

    Sincerely,

On November 30th I went to ******* of Brooklyn located on ************* I went there to look for a new vehicle. I was approached by sales rep person name *******. While I was there ******* helped me look at some vehicles and helped me make a choice on leasing ******* **** While were negotiating the deal one of the things we had agreed upon was that my current car that I had that time was over the mileage limit and ******* said that he would waive off the penalty for over mileage and that I wouldnt have to pay. Yesterday January 10th I received a letter from Hyundai saying I owe them a balance of $776.49 because of the over mileage. I contacted Hyundai and explained to them and they told me I had to contact ******* ********** and have them pay the balance since that agreed. I called the ******* yesterday and I spoke to ******* over the phone and he said he would talk to his manager and see what was going on. ******* never got back to me and I tried contacting him a few time in his personal cell and through the **********. Today I finally got in touch with ******* and he told me they are unable to cover the mileage fee because they decided they didnt want to buy the vehicle that I had returned to them. I had told him that thats now what we agreed and and that its not my fault they didnt choose to buy the car. I then got in touch with a manger at ******* who was extremely rude and told me I cant do nothing for you and that its not their problem. Also when I asked for the managers name he wouldnt give his name. He kept telling me you dont need it. After some while he told me his name is ***. I asked for his full name and he wouldnt give it. I am not sure what to do at this point. That is why I am in touch with you to help me.

As soon as I walked into the show room I advise the sales person ******* that my car has 3 months left on the lease and I am over the miles , he informed me it wont be an issue and they are willing to take care of it , the first car he showed me in the show room I wanted it a Tucson 2022 limited edition, so we started doin the paper work and he called someone who was gonna take my car and gave them the keys to look at it and finalize and I didnt know what they was gonna do with the car until I got a letter in the mail in December saying the lease is up and what am I doin with the car , so I called to find out whats goin on and they said its showing I still have the car but the last 3 months was paid for which was $1348.26. I had to call the sales person and he called them to verify that the car was sent back to ******** dealer to my surprise then January I got a bill stating I owe $2142.84 over miles and turn in fee and taxes , so I ***** the sales person ******* he told me send him The letter and he will take care of it , 2 weeks letter nothing called back he said they cant do anything for me cause theres a new manager then he said they will pay half and I said no we agreed to pay the entire bill.
