5 starsI relocated from a small studio to a one-bedroom unit in a building with no elevator. I had a lot of breakable items, including glass shelves, a mirror, and kitchenware, and I was worried about the stairs. The team wrapped everything up tightly and carried it all up without a single bump or complaint. I appreciated how careful and steady they were the whole time.Review fromEthan H

5 starsMy wife and I moved with our toddler, so we had a lot of toys, a crib, and random baby gear that needed to stay organized. The movers were respectful of our space and even made sure the boxes labeled "nursery" went into the right room. It made settling in a lot easier. We felt like they understood how to work around families. It all worked out well!Review fromAngela J

1 starMISREPRESENTATION. After calling many companies we settled on Asata because they assured us the following:1. They would meet with the police to make the move in case his significant other created a problem,2. I was ***eatedly assured by the sales ***resentative that we had 72 hours prior from the time the move was scheduled to cancel and get our deposit back-this was VERY IMPORTANT TO **. The contract had a date that was not agreed on thus was ***eatedly assured int was 72 hr. prior to the final date scheduled.3. We were told that for $1.00 more we locked in the price for a year in case the date we set up had to be changed.A week after sending the deposit and signing the "contract" electronically-I will admit I did not read all the details because supposedly the sales *** went over everything verbally with me-or so he said. Our son was able to find a friend in the area that would store his belongs which included furnisher for him until he decided where he wanted to settle. I contact Asata-tried to reach the sales *** with no luck- to set up the move locally. I was told Asata is only cross control-not local, so I canceled and asked for my deposit back. Was told it had to go to their cancelation department. Contacted my credit card company to stop payment. I received notification from ** that according to the contract I had only 72 hr. from signing of contract to cancel to get deposit back NOT 72 hours prior to pick up date. I called Asata back to speak to my ***-again with no luck and was told per my contract I was not intitled to get my deposit back. I insisted that I was MISS INFORMED which is FRAUD. They had $952 of my money for service NOT performed. I canceled on April 30, the move was on the contract for May 24. All we want is our deposit back. However, buyers need to beware that obviously this company will tell you anything to get your business.Asata Van Lines

Dear ********,
Thank you for your review. We understand how important it is to feel confident in the moving process, and wed like to clarify the policies and timeline related to your booking.Your contract was electronically signed on April 13th, 2025, and per Section 8 of the agreement, the cancellation policy allows for a refund only if cancellation is requested within 72 hours of the contract signing. This is further supported by the Credit Card Authorization Form, also signed on April 13th, which specifically states that cancellation requests must be submitted via email within that 72-hour window for any refund to be applicable.
We received your formal cancellation on May 1st, 2025, and the associated Cancellation Request Form signed on that same day confirms that cancellation requests made outside the 72-hour window are subject to review but do not guarantee a refund.
While your request fell outside of the refund eligibility window, we did extend the option to place your reservation on hold for up to one year, so the deposit could be applied to a future move. This offer was declined. If you would like a copy of your signed contract, credit card authorization, or cancellation form for your records, we are happy to send it to your preferred email.
Sincerely,

5 starsWe lived in a 9th floor flat with no elevator and a collection of inherited antique furniture. But these movers wrapped each item carefully, maneuvered tricky corners with total control, and took their time without dragging the clock. They didnt leave a single dent or scratch behind!Review fromNajla H

1 starThis is not a good business to deal with, they do not uphold their agreements. They went around their procedures to secure funds from me for a move, then redid the items list of things I received a quote for to bring and charged me an extra $400 due to them not following their own procedures. The customer service is horrible, very confrontational and that was with each person including mgmt that I tried to explain this matter to. They were unwilling to help, try and understand or take responsibility. This was the biggest mistake in moves I have made. Ive used U-Haul 10 times and never had one problem, including using the movers. NOT ONE!!! Please record calls, screen shot items list if they send one etc because they also restrict the access once they got my money, oh and I forgot they also refused to refund the $1000 and change I paid upfront once I realized they werent taking all the items discussed, and I had to throw out items, they made me pay extra to bring my clothes, who moves and doesnt add clothing to the list?!? Please BEWARE!!!Review fromhussain s

1 starI got a quote of $2500 from *************************** to move one-bedroom apartment furniture. I told them that the total price of buying this furniture is lower than this quote. I told them that my budget was about $1500. Then after couple of days I got a call from them saying that they have new deal since they need to fill in the last space in the moving truck. I did not realize that this was the bait, and the switch would come later. I was asked to pay 1/3rd ($500) of the total moving estimate as a deposit, 1/3 on the day of pickup, and 1/3rd upon delivery. They have assigned Swift Moving ************ for this job. Driver showed and asked me to show them the furniture. I did show them the furniture, and the driver said he would come back with contract to sign for new estimate. Then driver came back with the new contract, and a total new estimate of $2481. I was furious and asked the driver to unload furniture even if I lose the deposit. I tried to call *************************** again but no answer. The driver said that he would charge me $800 to unload the furniture. I was under time pressure to move out of the apartment. I told the driver that I have limited cash to pay because I did not expect to pay more than 1/3 of the original moving estimate. The driver said it is fine to pay $500 and pay the rest upon delivery. I waited for the furniture to be delivered on the assigned date of 05/12/2025 but no one called or delivered furniture. I called *************************** many times asking about the furniture and was told that they would call dispatcher and call me back. I did not get any phone call back or email and until this present day I do not know where the furniture is. This is clear cut of bait and switch scheme. I would have never chosen *************************** if the BBB had not rated them as B+ when I checked them out. If Better Business Bureau does not change this rating, their credibility is going to be on the line.Review fromBrett B

5 starsMy long-distance move included moving heavy antiques with delicate finishes. The movers used custom padding and foam to ensure no scratches or dents. Their care and expertise preserved the beauty of my heirlooms, and I couldnt be happier with it all!Asata Van Lines

1 starThey are the worst company ever and I have filed an official complaints. As a military member who was procuring his own move I have never been treated so poorly and adamantly lied to in the process. They sold our move to ******** Movers, who 1 did not show up on time or the agreed upon time, 2 refused to give clear and accurate updates on when my household goods will arrive, 3 the movers swore at my girlfriend and also threatened me that if I did not pay 3 grand more than the 2500 I had already deposited then they would not deliver my things, and lastly I had to know rent a uhual and hire movers through uhual to get my things because ******** movers will Not deliver to my apartment because they are stating they cant bring there truck in with zero attempts or even looking at in person. This company is a bunch of liars and scam artist and I have reported through the proper military channels.Asata Van Lines

Hello,
We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your moving experience. As disclosed prior to booking, Asata Van Lines operates as a licensed moving broker. The Bill of Lading, which was signed at the time of pickup, reflects the assigned carrier responsible for handling your move ******** Movers.
While we do not condone any unprofessional behavior by any contracted carrier, we want to clarify that prior to pickup, a ***************** call was completed to review all inventory details, which is designed to avoid any on-site pricing adjustments.
We take all customer feedback seriously, and while we regret that your experience did not meet expectations, our company remains committed to honoring the agreements made at booking and working with the appropriate parties to address any service concerns.

1 starDo not trust Asata Van Lines. They are not a moving company theyre a broker that sells your move to whoever bids lowest. Ours was handed off to Good Move, and the nightmare began. We submitted a very detailed inventory every box counted and sized. Asata quoted us $3,600, which seemed fair. Then during their ***************** call, they started suggesting our inventory was inaccurate. It wasnt. This was clearly to justify a price hike. They say you can pay by credit card but only through a different parent company with a 5% fee. Otherwise, they push hard for bank transfer to lock you in. No credit card = no way to dispute. When the truck arrived, the driver was from Good Move, but the laborers were local hires who had never worked with him before. Ironically, those guys were the only professionals that day respectful, efficient, and not part of the scam. Before anything was loaded, the driver claimed our move was double the quoted volume and raised the price to over $6,000. I told him not to load a thing, and that Id move it myself. Only then did the price drop but still came out to $1,000 more than our signed quote. They also told us the truck would be cross-country by Saturday (pickup was Tuesday). Its now been over a week, and our stuff is still sitting where it was picked up, with no clear delivery date in sight. This entire process has been built on lies, pressure tactics, subcontracted labor, and last-minute price gouging. Once they have your deposit, they disappear and leave you stuck.Avoid Asata Van Lines and Good Move. This is not a legitimate moving process its a trap.
