Transaction date: 6/8/25. Locksmith showed up to unlock my door after I was locked out of my apartment. Originally quoted me around $200 to unlock my door and then after unlocking my door continued to add more and more charges on top of the $200 dollar fee. At the end of the service which lasted maybe ***** minutes he quoted me a price of $931 which could only be paid by ***** and had to be sent to him at the moment. He gave me no other options in order to pay and targeted me during a vulnerable time in which I needed to get into my apartment and had no other choice. I tried to reach out to him to resolve the issue, but have not received a phone call back.

Called this locksmith that claimed to be a 24/7 locksmith. Their information was advertised on a sticker on my apartment building's buzzer. **************************** arrived to complete the service. When he arrived, he tried briefly to pick the lock and then insisted it needed to be drilled out and replaced. I was charged $75 for the service call, $750 for the service, and $350 for the replacement lock. The entire service took approximately thirty minutes and I found the exact same lock on ************ website for $16. I felt like I was grossly overcharged for this service and product, with the total charge coming out to be $1305. Though this incident took place over the weekend (2-12-2023) at around 11-11:30 pm, I feel that this charge was extremely excessive and there was no mention of there being any extra charge for weekend hours/ late nights prior to the service taking place or listed on the invoice I was given. My family member contacted the business after the event about the excessive amount charged and was told that the manager would get back to them in a couple of days but never called back. They spoke to a '***********************' on the phone and were told the manager's name was **** but refused to give ****'s last name. Link to the lock on ************ site: ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
