      I was sent I copayment bill in the mail for $15.00 in which I paid when services were never rendered nor was there an appointment ever made.

      My daughter ********************* went to MiDoctor ************** for a sore throat in March 2023. The doctor was in network and covered by Independence BC-BS. They in turn sent out the lab work to Sherman Abrams Labs without anyone's consent. Today I received a bill that was originally $411.93 and now they are trying to charge me $634.17 for lab work. Is it legal to send blood work to a laboratory that is known not to be in network? I cannot afford to pay for this nor did my daughter even go in for a covid test.

      I received an invoice dated 3/21/23 with a service date of 10/16/22 totaling $399.00. When I called the billing department, I was told that they were contacting me regarding services rendered on 10/18/2021, and that I had failed to pay the co payment for that service. The representative asked me to provide a copy of my credit card payment information to them. This raised a red flag, because I was never contacted by the *********** indicating that I didn't make a payment. Nonetheless, I researched my payment history and confirmed that my credit card paid $125 on 10/22/21 (post date) to ***************, *****************************************************************************. I refuse to provide my personal credit card information to Sherman Abrams Labs...I'm assuming this is an inside scam to double bill and obtain personal information. They waited two years assuming that I had lost or forgotten my payment information. I refuse to deal with these people, and I'm willing to pay my attorney to expose them, but I also want others to be aware of this group. Thank you for your assistance.
