    ON May 28, 2024, I completed a payment for the company to provide window screens. The company has not provided those screens and does not respond to requests for information on delivery status.

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. The order was delayed due to missing information regarding the item.Unfortunately, this oversight on our part led to the delay. After some time,the customer reached out for an update on the delivery timeline. Once we received their inquiry, we quickly resolved the issue, which should have been addressed earlier. Eventually, the customer received their order after an extended delay.

    On March 3rd, I paid a 50% deposit of ******** for a window repair. They said that the lead time would be 4-8 weeks. After not hearing from Skyline Windows in 10 weeks, I sent them an email, to which they did not respond. I sent another email May 23rd (12 weeks after service was paid) and they finally responded, offering a full refund for having dropped the ball due to understaffing. Soon after they changed their mind saying they'd charge me for the materials and refund the rest. Then they said they'd only charge me for the survey fee and refund the materials. Then they took that back and said they'd charge me for the materials. In the event that they kept the survey fee, I asked if we'd be able to complete the repairs at a later date, and not charge an additional survey fee. This would have spared us from the 4-8 week lead time and it would have not been a financial loss for them. No one replied. That was on June 1st. Since that date, I have sent them four emails and tried to contact them multiple times requesting a full refund, and they simply have not answered or refunded my money. Everything ************** here has been discussed in writing so the business has access to the full history.

    The window mechanisms keep breaking. I believe this is due shoddy design and materials. Instead of having a metal track, the tracks are plastic and keep breaking or cracking. The windows cannot be opened. When the plastic cracks the cover over it flies out of the window because of the tension. The warranty was up last year. Each time this happens, Skyline asked for a fee to come look, half of which is deducted from the final cost,$1700.00 per window plus tax. I have to pay a deposit of 50% before they order the parts and wait, according to them 6 to 8 weeks. I have no complaints about the service people, but feel ripped off that I have to pay for repairing the shoddy design with the same shoddy parts. I am the original owner of this condo and have lived here 6 1/2 years. I never actually open the windows because they are too heavy, so it can't be something I've done. I haven't had the windows washed since 2018, so it's not window cleaners' fault either.

    Our Service Director called *** and she was delighted that someone from Skyline contacted her and has no complaints with the service she has received from our Service department.  Skyline manufactured and installed her windows in 2016 in accordance with our high standards.  Her issue is with the balances and the fact that her windows are heavy.  As we dont manufacture the balances, our service and engineering team are providing her with a free survey to do our best to find the best solution for her situation.  She has been pleased with our response and has agreed to rescind her complaint with BBB.
