We paid for a seasonal campsite from this campground in October of last year. The previous owners did not tell us of a change in hands. Once the change in hands of owners was complete, we removed our camper due to lack of services provided by the new company. We paid for a dock slip which was never put into the water. We placed numerous phone calls and stopped into the office on several occasions to ask about this with no resolve. The business at this time is refusing to refund the dock slip, claiming we never contacted them. We do have several call records where we tried to resolve this with no success. The company states it is not their problem. This particular camp ground is also unsafe, as there have been reports of teenagers with weapons, theft, and most recent campers burning other campers to the ground. We are looking for a refund only on the dock, which was promised but never provided.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/22/2025

The complainant vacated the premises on June 28, 2025. Our
organization acquired the property on June 2, 2025. At the time of acquisition
and throughout the period of the complainant’s occupancy, we have found no evidence
to support the assertion that the dock was unavailable for use as agreed.

No documented concerns regarding the dock slip or related
services were raised with our management during the period of occupancy. The
first communication we received from the complainant was an email dated July
27, 2025—nearly one month after their departure. By that time, the complainant
had been off-site for several weeks, and no evidence of prior attempts to
resolve the alleged issue was provided. Had there been, or in the future should
there be, any reasonable evidence that this service was unavailable and willfully
ignored by our team, would gladly make accommodations for the Camper.

    In
this matter, the dock slip was provided and accessible. The complainant’s
subsequent decision not to utilize the service, coupled with the absence of
timely or substantiated claims during their tenancy, does not constitute
grounds for a refund. Accordingly, the request for reimbursement was declined.

    Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have attached a copy of Mr* *****‘s own words on a Facebook post well after we departed the campground that the docks still were not fully operational. We called the campground on numerous occasions before departing and no one reached out. If necessary, we will provide phone records, showing that we called the campground before departure, and they never reached back out regarding the dock.

We stopped into the office several times before departure, and eventually called on 7/9, as office staff continued to “write it down” on a post it note for Nicole to contact us and she never did. After calling, they finally returned the call and told us docks were still not in the water. And per my previous response, Mr. **** openly admitted on a public forum that the docks were a problem.

    Regards,
