      e watch was advertised as guaranteed authentic it was purchased as a Christmas present and on Christmas morning the watch band broke and the watch fell to the floor. upon inspection, the watch had been repaired by a hack who used a steel pin to hold the band together. the watch was advertised as 18k gold no steel pin would be in an authentic it must be gold.i got in contact with the seller who agreed to see if he could get it repaired. i told him i did not trust him to do the repair. i got in touch with an authorized dealer and had the watch sent to Rolex for repair.I have emailed the dealer twice trying to have him pay for the damages caused. I have not received any email back.I have pictures that were posted on **** that clearly show the steel pin in the band and i have the pin that fell to the floor Christmas morning along with the description "guaranteed authentic" in the listing.i am looking for a settlement figure of $3865 to cover the time, travel, cost to repair, and distress on Christmas morning when the watch fell to the floor.
