    I’ve received a letter soliciting a certificate of service for $87.25.

    I’ve located the business address to a bank and when I called the number, someone half asleep answered. They states that it was just an offer. It is a scam!

    NY Certificate Service wrongfully solicited payment for a NYS business certificate that doesn't exist legitimately. They sent a fake certificate claiming it's from the Secretary of State.

    I received a very official-looking letter from NY CERTIFICATE SERVICE after filing for a business stating that I needed to send $87.50 by July 20th. I sent payment in the amount of $87.50 as I thought it was required. When I did not receive the certificate, I became suspicious and started researching and saw many complaints regarding this same "official" letter. This is a scam. Their phone number has no answer. I've received no documentation. I would like a refund.

    NY Corporte Certificates is the name of the company that sent an immensly officially-looking letter stating “You have one step left in order to buy your optional Certificate of Status from Ny Corporate Certificates.” That imbedded sentence is the ONLY clue this is not a process needed to confirm my newly-registered LLC is certified. This business INTENTIONALLY the recepients of the business’ letters.
    I read letter, carefully, twice, and managed to convince myself not to write a check for $87.50.

    They scamed me out of 87.25 with no certificate in sight. I want my money back

    I just legalized my business when I received a form in the mail for a business certificate which I need for my bank. The letter was from NY Certificate Service *** ******* *** ******** ***** ***** *** ****** ** *****. I sent in a check with the bottom of the letter and the check was cashed immediately but no certificate was sent. I called and complained and they told me to call next week. I looked it up and realized I got scammed.
