Sewer line back up prompted call to Roto Rooter. Roto Rooter came out the same day and attempted to help. Their snake got stuck in the sewer line. They cut off the snake and left exposed sewer line. They did not call to explain the situation or propose a resolution. I called both the technician and the main office and ultimately was told that there would have to be a resolution sometime the following week and that I would receive a proposal for services. Received the proposal and arranged for work to be done the following week. In the mean time, I covered the exposed sewer line and cleaned up trash left behind by company. On the day of next service, no one called or informed me that they started work, but they brought a mini excavator to dig and replace about 5 feet of the sewer line. I was told prior to work starting that if they needed to replace more, they would let me know and ask to do so. I asked the technician during the job to please let me know if more work needed to be done. The technician responded 'I'm goin to put the camera down soon, it's probably going to be bad'. I asked him to let me know. He did not, he just put the dirt back over the hole and left. I then had to call Roto Rooter no less than 2 times to request a proposal to repair the rest of the line. I ultimate received a proposal to replace the entire line, included the section they had already replaced. The cost of this was double what the original repair cost was. I got another company to give a second opinion. They offered a lower total cost and expressed some concern that the original repair was not completed at the time of service. I have contacted Roto Rooter about 5 times to ask about this and resolve this. They repeated say that they will send me an email with a new proposal that reflects the amount already paid for services. However, I still have not received any emails despite clarifying my email and calling to request one no less than 4 times. The response I get is 'we sent one'.
