I bought a 2013 Chevy Cruze LT from Mountain West Auto on Kietzke Ln. On Dec. 9th 2022 and I'd could t even pick the vehicle up till the 21st, due to them saying they had to make sure it passed all the safety tests and fix anything that was wrong with it. Upon leaving that day I traded in a vehicle for 3,000 and also gave them $500 payment plus another $2,300 by the next 30 days. The car worked great for about the first 6 months and then it started having issues with things turning off and on like the headlights and radio and then the stabiltrax warning would pop up and that issues would come and go all in all still running pretty good up until March of this year I take it in to Jiffy lube for an oil change and end up leaving there paying $812 for all the work on it that was never done to it and also months prior to this something else had gone out on it and I paid out of pocket for that also. Now that was March 2024 and in May 2024 I start hearing this ticking noise and notice that oil is caked up under the bottom of the oil pan I take it in and it's another $1100 to fix this problem or if I keep driving it I blow the transmission completely. So I went and leased another car seeing if they would also use the Chevy as a trade in and NO if they took the car they said I would actually owe them money due to ALL OF THE PROBLEMS IT HAS WITH IT. Timing gasket blown, the whole wiring system was messed up and the car would cost more to fix it than it was worth. So now I have a car that I can't drive and I still own the bank around $4600. Mountain West Auto sold me a lemonInitial Complaint

I bought a 2014 Ford F-150 in September of 2022. When I bought the truck they kept the truck for over a month stating that the truck was unsafe to drive. When I finally got my truck in August of 2022 they said they had fixed everything that was broken and it was safe to drive now. Come to find out the front differential is leaking metal and oil from how much it is broken and the engine has a dead cylinder and needs a whole new engine now.Initial Complaint

Winnemucca CDJR
This business started working on my truck, ordered the parts and installed incorrectly. I then had to tow my truck to elko to the other ram dealership to have it looked at out of my own pocket.
My truck ran and drove when i took it to them and is now almost 4 months later and the dealer ship Winnemucca CDJR has closed. With my truck in both shops now i have endured lost time at work as well as having to pay for rental trucks out of pocket to be able to get to work.
This has also caused me to get behind on payments of my truck that has been broken after they touched it. Current dealer that has the truck has stated that the truck was put together incorrectly and are concerned of more damage caused by parts being installed incorrect.Customer Answer

In February 2023 I traded in my 2019 Dodge charger gt for a 2017 Audi S3. The deal went smooth no issues got a good payment. The dealership said they would have the charger paid off within 2 weeks to a month. The dealership did not pay off the car until 3 months later and that was 3 months of asking them every single week if they could please pay off the car. Then in March I traded in the Audi S3 for a 2019 Ram Bighorn. At first they got us a decent payment of $877 a month and then a week later said the bank denied it and had to go through a different bank and each time the payment just got higher and higher and this went on for a month. We finally had a bank that would approve us but the payment was $1042 every month which we then had no choice but to accept because it was too late to take the Audi back. They then told us again the Audi would be paid off in 2 weeks to a month and ended up not being paid off until 3 months later again and during that 3 months it was an ongoing battle with the dealership to get them to pay off the car. Because the dealership took so long to pay off the car the bank that the car was financed through threatened to repossess the car and then come after my truck that was not financed through them. The owner of the dealership for 3 months never paid off the car or even requested a payoff amount from the bank. It began affecting my credit to the point that it went down over 100 points and caused my credit to go from a 730 to a 600. The day i got the payoff from the bank and dropped it off at the dealership the same day the owner then took 8 more days to pay off the car when he told me he would pay it off the same day. I also found out from an empoyee of the dealership that I’m not the only one that the owner has done this to but that he’s done it to over 90 other customers that traded in and purchased cars too. I would just like some kind of compensation for having to deal with 5 months of him destroying my credit and not paying off cars.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 1012 Toyota Camry . They said that they didn’t have the Vehicle in Stock. That it would take a few days. And that it only had 32,000 miles on it. They also said that the car was Red. And it was silver. First they didn’t have a car fax . The car was pretty worn. Come to find out they did have ownership. If you look at the history of the vehicle, The mileage , I think it’s fabricator anyway thank you and I hope somebody gets back to me. My phone number is ###-###-####. We put 3000$ down they were supposed to match it. The whole was shady.Initial Complaint

I bought a car with this company and they gave me a due bill to fix the back bumper of the car I purchased. I've been constantly calling and seems as if their phones have been turned off. I went o the dealership and no one was there. In addition, I havent received my paperwork to register the car and it's been over 30 days, My temporary placard is now expired. I now have a car that can't be registered and the work promised to be fixed wont be fixed.Initial Complaint

December 22, 2022 I went to see how much they would give me for my Camaro SS. I was preapproved for a certain loan amount through my credit union and came with the check in hand. After some negotiation we came to an agreement on how much they were going to give me for my car and I chose a truck on the lot that I loved that fit the price point, we made the numbers work for what I had been preapproved for. The process for this credit union is that the dealership has to call them, verify the vin, and if the credit union approves the vehicle they can cash the check. Well.... the "Sales Manager" Juan gave the credit union the VIN to another of their trucks - one that had never been in an accident and had always been serviced by the dealership. The "Finance Manager" Scott put that same wrong VIN on my paperwork and I paid for a KBB to verify it was a good truck. All was great! UNTIL the bank never got the title. When they never got the title we started looking into it and saw that they did not give me or the credit union paperwork with the correct truck's (the one I possessed) information/paperwork. The truck I physically had had been in two major structural accidents and had been red flagged (could NOT be financed). Went back and they, the "Managers" Chris and Juan, were threatening to me (single woman) that they would just take the truck since the truck I had on paper was not the truck I physically had and the truck that was on the paperwork was "unavailable" because of work being done to it at another location - according to them. And that they had already sold my Camaro SS so I was out of luck for a vehicle. I told them I would be contacting their owner and left.
I ultimately got another vehicle from their lot in March but now here we are in June and my credit union has still not received the title, the dealer swears they sent it to the DMV. DMV says they have not received it and my bank is threatening to rescind my loan and charge me now.
I have all paperwork.
