  When I started Prominence insurance in the state of Florida, everything started out very well. And then it went downhill rapidly. **************** started out good and now they do not return calls, they pull up wrong accounts, referrals are a nightmare to obtain. Because I have lymphedema, I was promised by a Florida employee as I sat across from her in the Florida Office, that although ******** does not pay for them, she had someone look up the benefits from Prominence and told me that Prominence would pay for compression stockings because of my diagnosis. They paid for one pair and refused to pay for anymore. Because of that, my legs gained 30+ pounds of excessive lymphatic fluid and my right leg ripped open having blood all over my kitchen. I ended up in the ** and they had to suture my wound . I ended up with a massive infection and cellulitis and now I have paid every day because of the neglect, the medical neglect of Prominence Insurance. I am very retired/disabled RN and this is a clear case of medical negligence. What a doctor from ******************** denies , my compression stockings that were ordered by my vascular surgeon and told my prior PCP these words during a phone conversation with her, I know nothing about lymphedema, we are not paying for any more compression stockings, sent her to a podiatrist that is 100% medical negligence. I live with the pain that this insurance company caused. They are all about profits over patient health. I have asked for over a year to have that physician, somebody from administration, and the nurse that works with me from **********, and myself to schedule a conference call so that I could educate that ** from Prominence Insurance. All of my emails, pictures, and videos showing me crying and screaming because of the pain and the excessive swelling and my legs, were escalated from the nurse and yet no one has responded to any of my emails or calls. They promise a lot and deliver little.

  I have not needed anything major, like surgery, until now. So far, Prominence hounds & harasses me every year to go in for the ********* approved" tests. Many are useless as I do not have any major problems at all with my health. All are a waste of time. Prominence gets extra $$$$ from CMS when their patients get those tests. Of course, they push me so they get their kickbacks from CMS. I was only recently diagnosed with hip arthritis. I go to see my Orthopedic surgeon. He recommends cortisone shots for pain. I waited 3 weeks never received any referral for any pain shot. Not until this same doctors office calls me do I realize, the Dr put in a referral for a shot but Prominence ignored the request. Thank God it was not any emergency! Another time, I went to see a Podiatrist for old toenail fungus. We decided to remove my 4 toenails. My doc sent in a request to approve surgery. Prominence approved it but wants to send me to a totally different Podiatrist. Where does any of that make sense??My own PCP is always atleast 45min+ late for our appts. & just getting a cust serv rep on the phone can take the patience of a saint. HORRIBLE HEALTHCARE.

  Prominence is by far the best healthcare plan I've ever had the pleasure to belong to. I will say if I can't get back on their plan by December 7th I will probably have to move to Texas or something even more drastic. They always handled my issues with skill and ****** treating me pleasantly the whole time. I made the worst mistake of my life when Select Quote talked me into switching to Humana, a mistake I deeply regretted the moment I did it. I will know there IS a God if I can switch back by ****. If not I'll be in a h*** unfit for man or beast because I can't find another provider that comes close to Prominence.

  On the surface the plan looks great. Unfortunately they promise the moon & deliver nothing. Since customer service moved from **** to south ********************** customer service has gone downhill. Reps do not call you back as promised with updates, they give incorrect information and the noise in the background is often unprofessional. I have heard babies crying, pet birds whistling and dogs barking in the background on some calls where ******* seems to be working from home. One call last week sounded like ******* was at a party with loud ***************** in the room around them.

  Since acquiring Prominence health plan as my ****************** plan, in March 2022 Ive been extremely pleased with my care. It was easy to get started with my wellness apple, all my necessary exams and whenever I ask for a referral for a doctor outside of my ************ doctor, I get that referral within 3-5 days. Other family members have Prominence Health Plan and theyre also very pleased.
