At the end of June 2022, I had a leak in the floor of my house and *********************** representing ServPro/Desert Valley Contracting came to evaluate, saying he was the owner (false). I had to pay $3k for a plumber, $1600 insurance copay and $1500 for flooring out of pocket. The only invoice I received was one from DVC so I assumed that would be the total for both companies, especially since his business card had ServPro on one side and DVC on the other. Also, they left nails exposed, wires hanging, stains in my sink and tiles broken. I never got a cost breakdown until everything was completed in September. Then I was able to peruse the bill and found item after item being charged for work that was never performed and that they charged MORE THAN TWICE the amount of hours than they actually worked. We had a meeting to discuss the balance still owing, but they wouldn't budge on the ServPro part. Their "finance" person said I could give her a check and then pay $100/mo. after that. I told her I could give her a check for $2k and she insisted I give her a smaller amount to bring the balance down to $7,800, so I did. A couple of days later, she sent an email saying she was not really authorized to make that arrangement and the owner said it would take too long to pay the balance. So, my question is: Why in the world did they send someone who was NOT authorized? I followed up with a check for $800, bringing the balance to $7k; however, she only credited me $500. I told her that I have the cancelled check that shows $800, not $500. She then accused me of "cancelling" the payment and said that it was a criminal act! I said that I felt sorry for her company if she didn't know the difference between a cancelled check and a stop payment! They turned around and put a lien on my house for $7,300, but admitted the amount was actually $7k, with no apology! I am 75 and on a fixed income and feel I'm being taken advantage of. And I didn't appreciate ***********************' condescending attitude.

They DO NOT DESERVE ONE STAR .ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES IVE HAD THIS IS THE SECOND CONTRACTING COMPANY IN LAS VEGAS . 1. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER BETWEEN ANYONE . I BASICALLY HAD TO BLOW THEM UP BACK TO BACK REDIAL. HAD MY WIFE CALL FROM HER PHONE BEFORE SOMEONE FINALLY ANSWERED. WITH A STORY TALKING ABOUT EVERYONE WAS OUT OF THE OFFICE. Then a year later I'm getting random emails saying they are putting a lein on my house for payment for something NOBODY DID NOR ASKED THEM TO DO AND I DONT EVEN HAVE WHAT THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE ME FOR .
