About

Important information

  • Additional Info:
According to information in BBB files, complaints have been processed to the address listed for this company under many names. The BBB's mail has been returned under many of the names at most of the addresses on record as "undeliverable-commercial mail receiving agency, no authorization to receive mail for this addressee."

The website, www.homestuffers.com, is registered to 7701 N Lamar, Austin, TX, and therefore it is believed that Homestuffers is headquartered in that area. However, we are unable to locate a physical address and only have postal drop boxes to refer complaints.

The area code given for this company of 212 is located in New York State.

The BBB has received copies of fliers which list Robert Hancock as President for the companies Home stuffers and Home workers.

Consumers allege they have received mail from C G Stuart and Ronald Hicks is listed as the President of the company.

On April 1, 2003 postal inspectors entered into the main offices in Tuscaloosa Alabama and confiscated all of this company's records, computers, and office machines. The postal inspectors also confiscated the company's bank accounts.

    EDUCATION/GENERAL INFORMATION

Every day, ads for work-at-home jobs appear in newspapers, across the country as well as on the Internet. Some of the offers include stuffing envelopes, assembling products, reading books, reviewing movies, medical transcriptions or selling advertising on the internet.

The BBB suggests extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, the BBB files nationwide indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. Rarely, if ever, are these ads an offer of legitimate employment. Generally, these jobs require up-front fees for information or supplies, and only the person who ran the ad makes any money.

You should be aware the U S Postal Inspectors regularly investigate these fraudulent schemes, and that you risk investigation and possible prosecution by postal or other law enforcement agencies if you become involved in one of these schemes.
