I got a vehicle from solid motorcars 12/16/2024 and in less than 28 days the vehicle was not working anymore, and the car dealership did not try to help me, they instead told me to pay $2500 for a new engine. I have not had my vehicle since 1/16/25 and they also refuse to contact *********** to have the vehicle charged off so it will not affect my credit. They refuse to help in any way. Please help me resolve this issue. thank you

It is a difficult situation. However when the vehicle was sold, it was made clear that the car was sold in an AS-IS condition. We make sure that customers are aware there is no warranty on the vehicle and that should only make the purchase if they are comfortable with no warranty of any kind. We have documents signed by the customer acknowledging this.

At the time of delivery the vehicle was in good running condition.

We did offer to help with a repair at a reduced price.

January 28 2025 I purchased a used Dodge Journey. The purchase included $1,700 in fees, which Solid Motorcars claimed was for fixing the car and running diagnostics to ensure that it is ready for sale. Within days an engine light was on - catalytic converter. I went back to Solid Motorcars asking them to honor their claims of why they had those fees and fix the catalytic converter. After inspection they demanded a additional $900. I asked to speak with the owner, they said he's away in *****. I've contacted a lawyer. This is ridiculous. All they need to do is keep their word and fix the car. Better yet, don't sell them busted.

This is not a customer of our business. The customer appears to be a family member of  Lavonda  ********-*****. The customer did purchase a vehicle on 01*28/2025. The vehicle had no check engine light at the time of delivery. The customer was made aware the vehicle was sold as-is, with no warranty. Additional warranty was available for purchase. The customer declined the additional warranty. We have offered to do the repair at a reduced cost. The customer is combative and unwilling to discuss a reasonable solution.

I am ******* **** ********-*****. The complaint was not submitted on my behalf. That being said, the owner has agreed to cover labor ($400) and I will cover the parts ($505). This is acceptable. It is unfortunate that they only honored the $1700 fee they charged because of this BBB report. Thank you for your hard work and quick response time!

I live in another city and purchased a vehicle online from Solid Motor Cars, a 2019 ***** Colorado. One of the reasons I purchase this vehicle was that they advertise Miles was under ****** miles. **** I when I actually saw the vehicle after purchase, I noticed that the mileage was over ******* miles. *** miles was falsely represented.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/19/2024

This is an untrue statement. **************** sent his brother to inspect the truck. He was made aware of the vehicle miles. He signed all the required paperwork stating the miles. *** truck was advertised with the correct miles. He may have looked at several vehicles and be confused between this one and another one he considered. If **************** can produce a copy of an ad with the lower miles we can do further research, however we never posted such an ad.

I went to Solid Motorcars at ****************************************************************I purchased a vehicle in full, no payments. They lied about almost everything.I immediately needed NEW TIRES, NEW BRAKES, NEW BLINKER, OIL CHANGE AND STILL NEED A TUNE UP. I was 100% ripped off. They gave me 1 key, and then called a month later threatening to discard the 2nd key if I did not come to get it. I prefer two keys and they didn't have it. Any professional business knows how to send an email mentioning a 2nd key. They also have my address and the key could have been mailed. But I guess mailing it cost too much!I had to argue with ******* in the business department due to her behavior and tone towards me and just to get what I needed in order to get my tags in AUG.I filed a complaint and the people I complained to which was ************************ and I believe ***** decided to not help me or try to get her to be more professional.Since they had my money already, my guess is that they can careless what she does.I am reporting this now because ******* or whomever in charge of signing TITLES has refused to do that. I paid for this vehicle in full on 07/22/2023 and today is 11/09/2023, I SHOULD NOT STILL BE HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS DEALERSHIP OR ***************Trying to get help is like pulling teeth. So I have called the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, contacted Trust Pilot and now completing a compliance complaint with the ***.I do not plan to jump through any hoops or waste more time arguing over the phone with anyone at SOLID MOTORCARS. I PAID IN FULL FOR A VEHICLE AND I WANT WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE. MY VEHICLE TITLE, SINCE I AM THE NEW OWNER.THEY NEED THEM TO SIGN THE DOCUMENTS THAT THE *** HAS REQUESTED MORE THAN ONCE TO HAVE SIGNED. I plan to take them to court if they prefer to continue sending UNSIGNED DOCUMENTS to the ***.Please make this complaint a public record.Because if they can do this to me they will do it to others.I only want what is mine.MY TITLE FROM THE *** PLEASE.

    Business Response

We understand the frustration with the title process at this time.

The Nevada *** is understaffed are asking that all customers allow extra time for the process to be completed.

There was an error made on ******************** title, this unfortunately extended the normal process.

The title was first sent to *** on 08/22/2023 they received it on 08/29/2023.

It sat at the *** waiting for it to be worked by them and was returned for an error on 10/10/2023.

We received it on 10/30/2023. We returned it to them immediately. They received it on 11/01/2023.

They are currently working on items received on 09/18/2023.

Please see attached letter from the *** explaining their current delay in processing titles.

    Thank you.

    Complaint: 20850001

I am rejecting this response because:
The the information shared to BBB by SOLID MOTORCARS is false.

They may have mailed the documents originally in August but going forward, they had 3 chances to get it right.

They can call it a mistake, error or anything else, the problem should have been corrected by the 2nd try.

The mistake they made is, failure to sign the *** title documents.

THEY ARE NOT SIGNING the documents, so that the title can be processed into my name.

I find it very easy to sign a piece of paper, so why is it difficult or Solid Motorcars?

I called the *********** ***  this month, November. And the agent stated on a recorded call that this dealership was mailed the

title forms for the 3rd time and they have not yet mailed them back.

So, if I spoke to an agent in November and they have not received the signed documents from Solid Motorcars, then how could that have the documents on 11/01/2023??

So far, Solid Motorcars has done nothing BUT LIE about everything.

Since they failed to disclose the fact that the forms were mailed back again and decided to say, they were mailed and the *** is back logged

is an excuse that I am rejecting since it's false.

Because of the dishonesty and unprofessionalism from Solid Motorcars I filed a complaint against them with the *** Compliance Department.

This will cut out the multiple excuses.

That form will be signed and the games they are playing will come to an end so that I can get my title.

    Sincerely,

    *******************************

****************** has inaccurate information. I recommend she does file with the *** compliance department so she can be provided correct information from them. *** compliance is the best place to rectify this misunderstanding.

    Complaint: 20850001

I am rejecting this response because:

Recommendation not needed, neither is sarcasm since I am experienced when it comes to filing complaints due to bad business practices.

I called Solid Motorcars last week and due to two different people one being *******, being argumentative and not helping me, is what prompted me to file a complaint.

So I should be thanking you for doing a bad job that made me want to file a complaint.  Now I am for sure going to receive my Vehicle Title.  HEADACHE OVER!

The complaint with BBB, Trust Pilot and ************************ was all done after I certify mailed my complaint to the ************************* so no recommendation needed since I know how to handle poor business practices.  And yes the issue I am having with the title not being signed by Solid Motorcars will be taken car of very soon.

I recommend you handle business better and keep it in-house or say hello to the public.

I am requesting for BBB to make my complaint a public record.  I enjoy sharing my experience with people, it may be helpful.

So now any issue solid motorcars had or still have isn't my concern since the *** will assist me from here.

I am not going to jump through any hoops at all!  Poor customer service will always turn into a complaint.

But the ************************* will take it from here.  I will receive my NEW VEHICLE TITLE. :)

    Sincerely,

    *******************************
